The highs of this album are incredibly high. Opening track rips, Rooster and Would are fuckin amazing! Vocally top performances in the genre ever. Second half of the album drags for me, a few skip songs too many.

Incredible Sunday morning record! No wanky jazz solos. Track 9 has some scatting, which I have a hard time not gigging to. A great “set it and forget it” album… no big standouts, but a lovely vibe throughout.

I really was not in the right mood for this album all day. I can see some moments of appeal, but I hated the experience of listening to this album. I was feeling off kilter and messy all day, and this only made it worse! I may go back to listen another time. But man… it really made me worse.

Great example of a band and album I would never listen to if not pushed by this adventure. I really enjoyed it, was breaking ice up and shovelling snow outside my house and it was the perfect audio fuel. I also enjoyed the more political resistance in the lyrics. Much more intense than I woulda thought. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
