1001 Albums Summary

This album is a masterpiece, especially considering it came out in 1967. The writing here is top-notch and the phased drums sound phenomenal and were unheard of at the time. I still believe that this is not Hendrix' best work, Electric Ladyland is even stronger.

Boring and uninnovative. Not an album that should be here.

Good brassless Jazz Album, the elevator music prejudice unfortunately shines very much in this, even tho it's got some really interesting bass lines. Overall not the absolute best Jazz Album i have ever heard.

The writing on this is so musical. Everything about this album is superb. It starts amazing and ends amazing.

Side Two is amazing. Unfortunately, Side One can't keep up. That's why it isn't a 5/5.

This is one of the best debut albums of all time. The composition and production sounds so modern in a good way, especially considering this album is from 1968. Everyone in this band has a beatiful voice.

This is a phenomenal album. Not very one-dimensional like many albums from the 90s could seem. Blends suprisingly many genres together and the songwriting is very good.

So this is where Bruno Mars gets all his vocal inspiration from. Very good album with amazing vocal performance and instrumental arrangements. Can get very repetitive in some songs tho.

Easily one of the most influential albums of all time. The Beatles have many 5/5 albums and this is one of the absolute best.

This is so good. Not just is Stevie one of the best singers of all time but the music is also fantastic. So many talented people worked on these kind of albums back in the day.

80s synth pop has got to be the most annoying crap ever.

This is as good as country music gets. Unfortunately not for me but her singing is really nice.

The story behind this album is bittersweet. To imagine that Dave Grohl basically made this completely on his own in a time where his life felt like it was falling apart is nothing short of incredible.

This album is very good with a lot of hits but not as consistent as people say. Living Loving Maid, What Is and What Should Never Be and Bring It on Home are not that great.

If an album is 90 minutes long it is doomed to fail. Nothing can keep anyones attention for 90 minutes, certainly not forgettable song like these. The album cover is ugly as well.

She was 19 when this came out. Incredible to say the least.

This is a very good album. I am not the absolute biggest Bowie fan but you cannot deny his genius. Obviously it helps having musicians like Mick Ronson, Rick Wakeman and Trevor Bolder play with you. I was torn between 4 and 5 but i think 4/5 is fair, it isn't a no skip album imo.

This is not an album you absolutely have to listen to before you die because there is many albums out there that sound exactly the same. I am not knocking the band tho the songs are okay.

Adele is one of the most talented singers of our time. What a shame that the songs are extremely boring. There is more to music about love and heartbreak than just a piano. Also, the album feels really like a compilation of songs, rather than an album.

I don't even know how to describe this. It was good but at the same time also not that enjoyable and it never seemed to fucking end. Overall okay.

I didn't mind the songs, but they weren't very interesting at all to my ear. Also, the mix on this is atrocious. You can't hear the vocals at all on many songs. There is so many albums from the 90s in this style that are much better.

This is just one of those albums, where I don't know how to really feel about it. Really weird, shines in some spots and then there is some really terrible parts.

I mean, what a voice. Directly reminded me of Otis Redding. Sometimes can be a bit boring tho, no songs really stand out.

Is it good? Yes. Is it very good? Yeah. Is it one of the best albums ever made, like many people claim? No, nowhere near.

This album has some of the best Zeppelin songs ever recorded. Jimmy Page's guitar work on this is out of this world. However, it suffers from inconsistency, so I can't quite give it a 5. A 4.5 would be perfect.
