Dig Your Own Hole by The Chemical Brothers

I’ve always thought of Chemical Brothers as an evil jamiroquai and I don’t think I’m wrong about it?

Sir, a second Talking Heads has hit the Random Album Generator. Seriously now, bafflingly impressed, give me more. Unexpected 5 stars for you Roxy x

The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers

Utterly blown away and will be rinsing more Manic Street Preachers in the near future I’m sure. Also sorry what do you mean one of them went missing and has been presumed dead for 30 years what.

Your Arsenal by Morrissey

In 2019 I bought ‘The Queen Is Dead’ on CD for £16.99 at HMV. Today i am deeply into my overdraft. These two events are linked I fucking know it DNF - piss off Morrissey

If I had to just listen to this album for the rest of my life, I think I could do it x

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Mar 28 2026

Rinsed this album from 2022 onwards - play ‘Peaches En Regalia’ at work as much as possible it’s PERFECT, the best Frank Zappa album other than Apostrophe, such a great opener to what can be one of the biggest deep dives for 20th century music I can think of, beautiful stuff.

Soul Mining by The The
Mar 29 2026

Never Generally go for this type of 80s music, it’s never been for me - but this was good! Really enjoyed the latter half, especially the last song that was grand. Wouldn’t listen to again but I’m glad to have been given the chance I definitely wouldn’t have otherwise

Mar 30 2026

Very easy listening and truly I can’t do 80 minutes of this it’s a little mind numbing sorry doo wop man

Imagine by John Lennon
Mar 31 2026

It’s just so unbelievably not for me at all actually and I’m very surprised by that god I’m so bored?

Odessa by Bee Gees
Apr 01 2026

I seriously had no idea Bee Gees - the fucking Bee Gees - had an album like this in them, an hour long concept album about a ship, that absolutely blew me away? Listened while on a gorgeous sunny run and it just flawed me how much I enjoyed this. They made Stayin’ Alive and THIS??? HOW???

Your Arsenal by Morrissey
Apr 02 2026

In 2019 I bought ‘The Queen Is Dead’ on CD for £16.99 at HMV. Today i am deeply into my overdraft. These two events are linked I fucking know it DNF - piss off Morrissey

Apr 03 2026

Ramones by Ramones
Apr 04 2026

Wonderful Rainbow by Lightning Bolt
Apr 08 2026

DNF - trust me I get it and it’s great to push boundaries and I’m hear for noise rock, this just very much was not for me in the slightest, DNF’s are 1’s, sorry about that - I bet Jesse loved this album though xx

Cut by The Slits
Apr 10 2026

As much as I find dub utterly fucking boring this was good!

Apr 11 2026

Illmatic by Nas
Apr 12 2026

From Biggie to Nas I smell your game from here Random Album Generator. Got into this because of Ozark oddly enough but never really went further than that. Great stuff. Just such GREAT stuff

California by American Music Club
Apr 13 2026

DNF - I strongly believe this isn’t one of the 1001 albums I needed to listen to before I die next June thanks anyway

So absurd but I’m into it!

Safe As Milk by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band

Metal Box by Public Image Ltd.
Apr 16 2026

It’s actually just not that good I shan’t be coming back to you Mr Rotten

Apr 17 2026

DNF - BORING!!!! If your mum sells Avon then your dad loves Traffic. I’d rather go play in the road.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Apr 18 2026

I made a noise similar to getting into a jacuzzi for the first time when finally listening to this.

The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers
Apr 19 2026

Utterly blown away and will be rinsing more Manic Street Preachers in the near future I’m sure. Also sorry what do you mean one of them went missing and has been presumed dead for 30 years what.

Blood, Sweat & Tears by Blood, Sweat & Tears
Apr 20 2026

Strong start but this really didn’t hold me, learning that was the original spinning wheel was nice though!

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Apr 22 2026

It’s five stars buddy

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Apr 23 2026

Soooo SO into this - very happy that Jesse has, like his favourite song ever, “listened to Iron Maiden babyyyy” Haven’t stopped thinking about this and will probably go into more Iron Maiden going forward and if that’s not what this is all about then idk man

Supa Dupa Fly by Missy Elliott
Apr 24 2026

Bloody Brilliant Stuff Baby x

Nick Of Time by Bonnie Raitt
Apr 26 2026

Perfect album to make a salad to but I think that’s about it - had a good time regardless

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Apr 27 2026

“Humpty Dumpty was a big fat egg” is a bar I’ve quoted for years because it’s just so fucking silly god I love this album, can take or leave the Bouillabaisse though

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Apr 28 2026

Buddy it actually is that good what a wonderful ride , didn’t want it to end so I will be spending my whole day listening to this I feel.

GI by Germs
May 01 2026

DNF - I don’t require a US version of Sex Pistols I just don’t im sorry I would rather an AU version (The Chats) which is, categorically, the best punk band ever

Bossanova by Pixies
May 02 2026

Enjoyed but nowhere even close to my devout love for Doolittle (which I missed god damn) what a wonderful bunch of freaks - it’s also mad how Cage The Elephant follow the exact same trajectory as Pixies but just do it shitter and somehow more commercial? and that is very funny to me.

Kenza by Khaled
May 03 2026
Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
May 04 2026

The most Sunday album ever

Synchronicity by The Police
May 05 2026

Do you know how mad I feel that I’m giving this 4 stars?? I’m doing it anyway!!

Dear Science by TV On The Radio
May 07 2026

The breaking bad song Album! Other than that, it’s not great preferred the last 3 songs BEFORE the boring ending, it’s taking itself so boringly seriously like what are we doing here

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
May 09 2026

Personal favourite Bowie album not one skip it’s the best thing ever

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
May 10 2026

Almost a 3 but won me over by the end, fun times ahoy

2112 by Rush
May 12 2026

I missed prodigy and got Rush instead ok then. I’ve simply so many questions, such as, why is the first song 20 minutes - over half the length of the album? also why did they use that stereotypical Chinese riff in the second song? Also why is the guys voice so high? Also

May 13 2026

Had the chance to see Underworld live a few years ago - I now deeply regret not going this was utterly fantastic and i will be revisiting it a lot I am sure.

Very by Pet Shop Boys
May 14 2026

DNF - ohhh I am so unpleased with myself but I cannot hide my true feelings. I struggle at the best of times with synth pop but I could not NOT laugh at the opening to every song I got through Jesus sorry team x

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
May 15 2026

Some great some dull, I never really enjoyed Neil Youngs voice as much as I should’ve

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
May 16 2026

“HE’S WHITE??!!??” Anyway, enjoyed but probably won’t come back

Caetano Veloso by Caetano Veloso
May 17 2026

Heyyy it’s the ‘Transa’ guy hello! Enjoyed but not as much as ‘Transa’ - also why did he make those weird mouth noises in the last song that was so odd

The Blueprint by JAY Z
May 20 2026

It’s fun I’m sorry but it’s fun ok what do you want from me

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
May 21 2026

You know what fine for 16 minutes this got me through a boring opening shift and that’s all I need - what a wild name for an album from an even wilder name for a band.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
May 22 2026

If I had to just listen to this album for the rest of my life, I think I could do it x

My Generation by The Who
May 23 2026

Buddy I am a The Who lover what can I say?!? It’s not my favourite -‘Quadrophenia’ takes that spot thank you - but this was very enjoyable, didn’t go for the full hour & a half, because that’s not what they initially did in 1965 and I’m not doing it 60 years later sorry team x

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
May 26 2026

Ohhhh what a summer vibe, really enjoyed !

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
May 27 2026

This is like Boygenius if they were actually boys 🤤 ‘Guinnevere’ is STILL one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Couldn’t be happier the rest of the album is as gorgeous.

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
May 28 2026

Ohhhhh shit yes that was very nice thank you random album generator for giving such a nice album to pair with such a sunny day!!

Antichrist Superstar by Marilyn Manson
May 29 2026

Marilyn Manson could really just say slurs like that in 1996 huh? This was, unfortunately, really a bit of me and I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected to (especially as gym music) loved the nihilistic concept and how batshit the whole thing turned out, other than the glaringly obvious it’s also aged pretty well after 30 YEARS?? loved that, but trust me I feel VERY dirty rating Marilyn Fucking Manson anything even remotely positive, but here we are.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
May 30 2026

Shit me i LOVE a concept album literally just give me concepts all day long. First time listening to a pink Floyd album and i will so be going back through their other albums as soon as i can, brill stuff

Private Dancer by Tina Turner
May 31 2026

Ignore everything I’ve said about synth pop so far - Tina Turner supremacy forever

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Jun 01 2026

God damn I loved this

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jun 02 2026

Compared to Chocolate & Blood this is the best album of all time - ergo a 3

Jun 03 2026

Elbow are to this day one of my favourite bands, and I also really enjoy Black Midi - so hearing an album that inspired BOTH was not something I thought I’d get up to today, thoroughly enjoyed, even though every song was 10 pissing minutes long x

Jun 04 2026

Shit Random Album Generator I said I liked Genesis already why give me more so soon? I’ll be frank with you Random Album Generator - please stop with the Genesis for now I don’t want it please stop

Diamond Life by Sade
Jun 06 2026

It’s Sade. It gets five stars.

Maverick A Strike by Finley Quaye
Jun 07 2026

‘Even After All’ is absolutely incredible - I really don’t do dub so I didn’t have high hopes but I’m glad to have heard this! Kind of album I’d come back to just for its confidence alone 🧡

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jun 09 2026

Brother I gave Maverick A Strike a 4 what the fuck do you mean 2????? However, this is a 2. And a boring 2 at that.

Jun 10 2026

Ahhhhh 🙂‍↔️ familiar tranquility once more. Close 2nd favourite Bob Dylan album and yet still not a single skip - love the originals, love the covers (‘Corrina, Corrina’ is so underrated!) it’s all just so bloody timeless and wonderful and, yes I’ll say it, cool. Hanging on every last word Dylan says all the time always - Even if that fucking god damn harmonica blows my eardrums out every single time.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters by Fiona Apple
Jun 11 2026

Nary a cooler woman exists like Fiona Apple I am LOVING the modern side of this generator! Whatever theatrical bullshit Fiona is selling I am buying it - think Florence + The Machine can get kookier and darker? Step this way. Music with BIG personality, which can be kinda marmite in terms of replay value, but damn it’s good while it lasts (unlike marmite) One of 2020’s best for sure, speaking of, this was an ideal distraction for I didn’t get to the Phoebe Bridgers Presale in time. Fuck. Side Note: ‘Cosmonauts’ into ‘For Her’ took my breath away jfc

Play by Moby
Jun 13 2026

I feel GCSE music flooding back through my veins…. You know what I really thought this was going to be pretty corny? But ended up really enjoying! It’s longer than it needed to be but all in all it’s aged pretty well! Thank you Vegan Man!

Dig Your Own Hole by The Chemical Brothers
Jun 15 2026

I’ve always thought of Chemical Brothers as an evil jamiroquai and I don’t think I’m wrong about it?

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Jun 16 2026

‘Sympathy for the Devil’ is an all timer and honestly so is the rest?? First full Rolling Stones album and very impressed!

american dream by LCD Soundsystem
Jun 17 2026

Uh Ohhhhh starting with the weakest oneeee 👏 OR SO I THOUGHT???? What the fuck this blew my socks off. Can see why seen as the weakest solely because it sounds so different & dark & moody at points - really made me think of ‘like clockwork’ by QOTSA - so surprised by this and loved every moment (especially ‘how do you sleep?’ What a belter)

Blood And Chocolate by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jun 18 2026

DNF - ‘I Want You’ was the dealbreaker here. Mr Costello why do you sing like this?

Blur by Blur
Jun 21 2026

Damn I like blur a lot less than I think I do:/ won’t be running back to this, apologies - still good! But ‘Parklife’ is better. Wil concede that ‘Essex Dogs’ is a banging closer though

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Jun 23 2026

So nearly a DNF, a 1, almost giving Miles Davis a 1 feels mental in the abstract but I had to really get myself to trudge through those first two mammoth sized songs, felt better toward the end but I probably won’t come back to this for a long time. Pretty upset with myself about this but we must move forward its what Miles would’ve wanted guys x

Is This It by The Strokes
Jun 24 2026

Sounds so ahead of its time I seriously thought this came out in 2012 - this is a pre-9/11 album what the fuck???

Scream, Dracula, Scream by Rocket From The Crypt
Jun 25 2026

If this were maybe 10 minutes shorter I would’ve probably gone with a 5 i LOVED this thing but would’ve been obsessed if it were trimmed down - great stuff team

Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev
Jun 26 2026

DNF - what is this muppets Christmas carol type bullshit dude try again random album generator Seeing as you can’t reverse music ratings I’m cordially making this a REDO of Maverick A Strike, it’s a 5 fucker I love itttt

Tapestry by Carole King
Jun 27 2026

Gorgeous Woman, Gorgeous Album, Gorgeous Vibes, Gorgeous closing track, maybe the most Gorgeous ever made? Just Gorgeous, and a very easy 5

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Jun 28 2026
The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Jun 29 2026

One of the best Openers of all time, with one of the best closers of all time, sandwiching an all-timer album. Nothing but greatness

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
Jun 30 2026

Enjoyed! Not as much as I thought I would I think if I’d given flaming lips a go earlier in life I’d hold this with much more grandeur but alas I didn’t so I don’t

Roxy Music by Roxy Music
Jul 01 2026

Sir, a second Talking Heads has hit the Random Album Generator. Seriously now, bafflingly impressed, give me more. Unexpected 5 stars for you Roxy x
