Rinsed this album from 2022 onwards - play ‘Peaches En Regalia’ at work as much as possible it’s PERFECT, the best Frank Zappa album other than Apostrophe, such a great opener to what can be one of the biggest deep dives for 20th century music I can think of, beautiful stuff.

Never Generally go for this type of 80s music, it’s never been for me - but this was good! Really enjoyed the latter half, especially the last song that was grand. Wouldn’t listen to again but I’m glad to have been given the chance I definitely wouldn’t have otherwise

Soooo SO into this - very happy that Jesse has, like his favourite song ever, “listened to Iron Maiden babyyyy” Haven’t stopped thinking about this and will probably go into more Iron Maiden going forward and if that’s not what this is all about then idk man

Enjoyed but nowhere even close to my devout love for Doolittle (which I missed god damn) what a wonderful bunch of freaks - it’s also mad how Cage The Elephant follow the exact same trajectory as Pixies but just do it shitter and somehow more commercial? and that is very funny to me.

Had the chance to see Underworld live a few years ago - I now deeply regret not going this was utterly fantastic and i will be revisiting it a lot I am sure.

DNF - ohhh I am so unpleased with myself but I cannot hide my true feelings. I struggle at the best of times with synth pop but I could not NOT laugh at the opening to every song I got through Jesus sorry team x

Buddy I am a The Who lover what can I say?!? It’s not my favourite -‘Quadrophenia’ takes that spot thank you - but this was very enjoyable, didn’t go for the full hour & a half, because that’s not what they initially did in 1965 and I’m not doing it 60 years later sorry team x

Close 2nd favourite Bob Dylan album and yet still not a single skip - love the originals, love the covers (‘Corrina, Corrina’ is so underrated!) it’s all just so bloody timeless and wonderful and, yes I’ll say it, cool. Hanging on every last word Dylan says all the time always - Even if that fucking god damn harmonica blows my eardrums out every single time.

Nary a cooler woman exists like Fiona Apple I am LOVING the modern side of this generator! Can see why seen as the weakest solely because it sounds so different & dark & moody at points - really made me think of ‘like clockwork’ by QOTSA - so surprised by this and loved every moment (especially ‘how do you sleep?’ What a belter)

So nearly a DNF, a 1, almost giving Miles Davis a 1 feels mental in the abstract but I had to really get myself to trudge through those first two mammoth sized songs, felt better toward the end but I probably won’t come back to this for a long time. Pretty upset with myself about this but we must move forward its what Miles would’ve wanted guys x
