At San Quentin by Johnny Cash

Great live performance and nice complement to the Live at Folsom album, but the original album is lacking due to editing it down to fit on a single vinyl LP at the time. Wanted Man, Wreck of the Old 97 and Starkville City Jail with Johnny’s banter are some of the highlights…cutting off Folsom Prison halfway through the song at the very end was not great. This would’ve been five stars if I was listening to the remastered fully restored cut of this performance. Which I highly recommend after listening to the original

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Jul 19 2026

This is not for me, this genre of rock never really interested me beyond having some knowledge of the occasional singles that played on the radio. In my opinion I’m honestly not sure I would call this an essential album and I don’t think I will ever listen to it again.

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Jul 21 2026

Great album, love Sioux’s vocals Great first half with a good second half Spellbound, Arabian Nights, Sin in my Heart, and Night Shift are some of the stand out tracks…Voodoo Dolly is a fantastic closer to the album

Hearts And Bones by Paul Simon
Jul 22 2026

This has too be someone trolling, there is no way this is something that you should give any of your dedicated music listening time to It’s terrible…never heard it before and will never listen to this again. From what I read about the history of the making of this album it looks like Garfunkel dodged a bullet here.

Jul 24 2026

Good album, not my favorite or the one of their best in my opinion…it’s great to listen to while driving in the car.

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Jul 25 2026

Nice album, I don’t know what head singing about but it doesn’t matter because band is great.

Survivor by Destiny's Child
Jul 26 2026

I don’t get it Just generic R&B First song is good A real slog to get through at an hour plus

Club Classics Vol. One by Soul II Soul
Jul 27 2026

It’s fine for what it is, nothing I will need to revisit again

War by U2
Jul 28 2026
Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Jul 29 2026

This album is a nice contrast to Psychocandy. A lot less fuzz and noise and somewhat more subtle April Skies, Happy When it Rains,Down on Me and Fall are some favorites for me

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Jul 30 2026

What an amazing voice, most of these songs are great

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson

Beautiful, I need to listen to this more frequently

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash

Great live performance and nice complement to the Live at Folsom album, but the original album is lacking due to editing it down to fit on a single vinyl LP at the time. Snivilisation by Orbital
Aug 03 2026

This is mostly pretty boring, I mildly liked two songs off this…one them because it was under 2 minutes and had a more industrial sound the other I’ve already almost forgotten about.

My Generation by The Who
Aug 04 2026

Great singles, stronger second half, some fun songs, second James Brown cover on the album and Bo Diddley’s- I’m a Man -come across as trying too hard to impersonate the artists rather than doing an original interpretation of these songs. Solid debut

Will The Circle Be Unbroken by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Aug 05 2026

Pleasantly surprised how much I liked this album. More variety than I was expecting, the studio banter between songs was great. Definitely too long at over 2 hours but I finished it unlike some albums on this list that we under an hour.

The Yes Album by Yes
Aug 06 2026

Not bad, I was concerned when I saw the multiple 9+ minute run time of these songs but there was enough variety and wasn’t just jam band indulgence…some cool spacey stuff going on here.

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Aug 07 2026

Fantastic album, almost everything here is great. Tracks Neighborhood#3(power out), Rebellion(lies) and Wake Up are standout singles

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Aug 08 2026

A couple of classic metal songs, 9 minute instrumental could have been cut from this album because it goes nowhere…I honestly feel half these songs could been trimmed possibly by at least 2-3 minutes

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Aug 09 2026

I can appreciate that this isn’t generic R&B and hip hop but it’s not something I see myself returning too

Aug 12 2026

This is amazing from start to finish One of the best live albums I’ve ever listened too The very enthusiastic orgasmic screaming coming from the audience really adds to the atmosphere of a performance that just rocks
