Meandering

Having not heard of Nick Drake, I judged the album by its cover and was not looking forward to listening However, upon listening I was blown away by the musicianship and song writing.

Mmm jazz

Amazing.

Forgettable, did not hold my interest.

Chill, relaxed hip hop.

Not for everyone, but one of the best examples of its genre. Also helped popularize extended range guitars in metal.

Sounds like a band you would hear playing a local bar. Overall very average, not sure why they got famous other bring pretty of the grunge wave.

Judging by the cover and date of release, I was expecting East coast hip hop. I was pleasantly surprised, with the instrumental chill hop vibes.

Only just listenable, highly repetitive, singer has droning flat voice. Really did not enjoy. I was excited when the Smiths came up, as a band I knew of by reputation only and am familiar with some of Johnny Marr's other works but was super disappointed by this album.

Art rock bullshit. 2 stars for a couple catchy songs.

Mother's Lament sucks and drags the whole album down 1 star. Otherwise, just average blues rock. Sunshine of Your Love is the highlight.
