Millions Now Living Will Never Die
TortoiseVery cool atmospheric Math Rock. Will definitely be adding this to my “background music while I work” collection.
Very cool atmospheric Math Rock. Will definitely be adding this to my “background music while I work” collection.
Surprisingly excellent. I’m a big punk fan but I’d never heard of The Fall and I’m so glad I did. Really cool kinda droning art-rock take on punk music. Reminds me of Velvet Underground or like a pre-LCD Soundsystem
Very cool album I’d never heard before. You can definitely hear the roots of rock/jazz/singer-songwriters like John Mayer and Jack Johnson in here.
An absolute stone-cold classic. An album you can listen to on repeat forever and never get sick of.
Sweet smooth soul music.
Sure Shot was a really sweet song. I didn't realize how "punky" early Beastie Boys was. Very cool mashup of punk rock and old-school hip hop. Really liked this album.
I'm not really familiar with the Smiths beyond some cultural references and the song "This Charming Man". Album was fine. Didn't really surprise me, pretty much what I expected.
Traveling Man is a bop, everything I like about real country music. A few songs are too Bible-y for me, but overall, really solid album.
I had always heard of the Talking Heads as being the “type” of band I would like, but never really listened to them. This album is really cool, and definitely seems like it was ahead of its time. Would have fit right in in the 90s. Some really good tracks on here.
This is exactly the kind of thing I signed up for this service for. Never heard of Keith Jarrett before. This album is lit. Amazing solo piano jazz.
It was fine. Never listened to much Depeche Mode other than the singles, and this was pretty much what I expected.
Some real good older Riot Girl punk music. Reminds me of Blondie. Never heard of X before but I really like this.
I've never heard of this dude at all, but this music is great. Right up my alley. Some cool funk/reggae vibes.
Excellent album. Really fun old jazz
Heard OF this album many times. Let’s check it out
Very cool!
Very weird. Reminds me of cool old 70s horror films. Not the greatest music I ever heard, but I can definitely tell it would have been very influential for other weird music that came later.
I love the Cars. This album has several of my favorite Cars songs on it. Amazing album
Very cool electronica. Enjoyed it a lot
Very cool old-school punk album. Sounds a lot like the first Clash album.
Poor man’s Phil Collins. Sounds like theme music to an 80s sitcom or Beverly Hills Cop or something.
An absolute stone-cold classic. An album you can listen to on repeat forever and never get sick of.
Really cool album. Lots of different styles of music mashed into one.
It was fine. Pretty generic “Oasis-type” 90s rock.
Prince was a true original, one of the greatest musicians to ever walk the Earth. This album ROCKS
Pretty cool atmospheric indie rock. Reminds me of Bright Eyes but less emo
Very cool Irish folk music. I spent 10 days in Ireland years ago, and this album brought me right back to the pubs. Wont be everyone’s cup of tea but I enjoyed it
Really really cool jazz! I loved this album
Kinda neat. I can see how it would have been influential, but it wasn't a very fun thing to listen to.
Good! Cool 80s punk rock
Great album, always a fun one to revisit.
Not for me. Kind of an "Enya" style electronica. Might be nice stuff to play in the background when I'm working or something.
I’ve listened to a lot of Foo Fighters, but never really went into this early stuff. I’m surprised by how much they sounded like Nirvana. Really solid rock songs throughout
Pretty OK. I can see how it was influential but a lot of the "Native American influences" don't age well.
Cool old school hip hop
I generally like the Cure but this album does not hold up.
Very cool! I enjoyed it a lot. A hidden gem.
Actually way better than I expected! Really good 90s rock album
Doesn’t hold up
Love Creedence. This album lived up to expectations and then some.
I get it, but it’s not for me.
Hot damn this one is a banger. I have liked everything from Sonic Youth I’ve heard in the past, but this whole album takes it to another level.
Meh. Old sad bastard music.
Really cool!
Pretty cool electronica music. Feels like I’m in a 90s action movie
Only listened to the first couple of songs, didn’t seem like my kind of thing. I’m not into Jesus stuff.
A really cool hidden gem! I had never heard of Dr. John, but this is some awesome New Orleans jazz meets psychedelic nightmare fuel
Very cool album I’d never heard before. You can definitely hear the roots of rock/jazz/singer-songwriters like John Mayer and Jack Johnson in here.
I love hip hop but this album doesn't age very well. It's got a few solid tracks but a lot of filler that just doesn't feel right.
Fine Christmas music compilation
Very weird. Not my usual cup of tea but I'm glad I listened to it. It's definitely out there.
I love Stevie Wonder, and this album is solid. It’s not as poppy or catchy as some of his other stuff, but it’s really interesting and introspective and a little political. Loved it.
Pretty cool modern rock. A little slow and droning. Similar to Interpol.
Really awesome! I had never heard of these guys, but it is just great cool driving indie rock.
Very cool. If Marty Robbins was a woman, he would have sounded a lot like this.
Pretty wild stuff. This album is known for the popular hit Cars, and all the other music kinda sounds similar. But it’s funky new wave
Incredible! I have never heard of this artist, I have never heard of Brazilian jazz or whatever this is. But the music is just great. And the singer is incredible even though I do not understand the language she sings in, and the music just has a great jazz punk rock fusion going on. Like a cosmic gumbo.
It is uncanny how much the White Stripes sound like these guys. Never heard of them before but this album is fire.
Cool rock album. Nothing super special but some solid rock tunes.
Meh
Meh
Really cool slow moody electronica. Nice vibe.
It's Madonna. Good for what it was at the time, but nothing particularly mindblowing. Has a bit of the "Seinfeld effect" where it was so original and genre-defining at the time, that now it feels 'hacky' and 'derivative' of all the things that came after it.
Excellent punk album, with a little bit of a jazzy feel on a couple of songs. A lot of fun
A classic. Every song on this album is an absolute banger.
Fun early horror punk
Reggae goodness
Fun weird 70s punk.
Playing classic rock songs on the sitar? Sign me up. I can honestly say that I've never heard anything quite like this before.
Sweet smooth soul music.
Not my thing.
A rock opera about a boy who is blind, deaf, and mute but sells his soul to an old gypsy woman in order to become a world class pinball player by playing with his sense of smell. I didn’t have enough LSD on hand to enjoy it the way it’s meant to be enjoyed, but it’s a true original and a great classic rock album.
Very interesting early soul music. If you like soul and R&B, this album is an interesting look at the early development of the genre.
Interesting 90s alt rock. I’m not sure I “get” what was influential or unique about it, but if you like alt rock, it’s worth a listen.
I am a ska fanatic and this is an absolute classic. YMMV if you don’t appreciate the genre of kings.
Very cool atmospheric Math Rock. Will definitely be adding this to my “background music while I work” collection.
Pretty good 80s rock.
Pretty much what I expected. It’s Simon and Garfunkel noodling on acoustic guitars and reciting poetry. Great music, classics, but pretty bland.
Awesome. Cool prog rock originals, great walking music or just music to put on when you want a good vibe.
Great tunes.
Never heard of Julian Cope but this is a great album. Sort of post-punk grungy stuff. Will definitely be exploring some more of his music.
Some good old-fashioned 60s psychedelic rock. Eric Clapton sounds amazing.
Excellent. Elton John is a true original and this is one of his best albums.
Interesting hip hop.
Awesome. Just a fun electronic album. Daft Punk are one of a kind.
Seemed better than his Smiths stuff but not much. Meh.
Very interesting! I like it. I’ve never listened to samba music but it has a really nice vibe.
Amazing early punk. Like a female Bob Dylan with an edge.
Awesome post-rock. Killer beats, fun lyrics, just an all around banger.
Soulful folky indie rock. A little generic but good.
Just good old fashioned 70s rock. Every song on this album is a banger.
Not the Beatles greatest album, but one of the better ones. A nice “middle ground” between the poppy early stuff and the psychedelic LSD stuff.
Surprisingly excellent. I’m a big punk fan but I’d never heard of The Fall and I’m so glad I did. Really cool kinda droning art-rock take on punk music. Reminds me of Velvet Underground or like a pre-LCD Soundsystem
Another badass classic punk album. I hadn’t heard this one but it’s a lot of fun. I’m a big fan of punk in general, so YMMV but this is my jam.
Pretty cool. Interesting spin on alt/punk making it almost twee.
When I think Beatles, I think of this album. This and the White Album are them at their peak.
Really good stuff. Modern blues-rock.
This is fire!!! Really cool instrumental soul/rock. You’ll definitely recognize a few tracks on here.
Never heard this before but it’s quite good! Awesome early 90s alt rock. Bit of a “one hit wonder” with There She Goes, but honestly every song on this album could have been a massive hit.
It's Zeppelin. It doesn't need a review. Greatest rock band of all time.
Pretty fun funky oddball tunes.
Pretty cool.
Really cool low key “background music”. Great for work or studying
Actually amazing. Really cool funk/jazz combo. No words, just grooves.
Kanye has just gotten crazier and crazier over time, but this album is pretty good.
Surprisingly good. I was too young to appreciate this when it came out.
It's fine. I don't particularly care for U2 but it's cool to hear what they used to sound like.
Very interesting funk/metal/ska hybrid. Never heard of these guys before but they kinda slap!
One of those albums that sounds generic now because it was so groundbreaking that it got imitated for 20 years. Metallica are douchebags but this album is still a classic.
Not my thing. It does sound surprisingly modern for being from the 80s though.
Not my normal style of music but it's interesting folk music from an era/culture I don't know a lot about.
If you like 70s rock, you'll like this. It's very fun.
Fun 60s rock. A few real bangers on here, especially Shake It Up, Kicks, and I'm Not Your Stepping Stone
Big Beatles fan but never really dove into Paul’s solo stuff. It’s quite good. Some really good Beatles-ish music
Really good riot grrl garage rock meets singer songwriter stuff.
Neat 90s electronica.
Generic 80s rock.
Awesome soul/funk music. It’s weird to listen to Isaac Hayes because I always think of Chef from South Park, but the dude is legitimately talented. This album is a bop.
Meh
Great cool 90s techno/ambient tunes. One of my all-time favorite background music albums
Great early 2000s pop punk. One of the defining albums of that sound.
A true original. This album feels like it has an aged a day
The Talking Heads are way more talented than their one-hit wonder status would ever suggest. Every album sounds great and decades ahead of its time. This one is no exception.
Pretty cool rock album. Nothing mind blowing but solid and interesting.
Metallica ended up turning into pretty big douchebags, but this album was a real seminal moment for metal as a whole. 20+ years later, it still holds up as a great live album and a cool mashup of heavy metal with a symphony orchestra.
Pretty cool 90s electronica. A lot of fun. Cool look at that moment where hiphop and electronica were just starting to part and go their separate ways.
Like what do you need to know about it? One of the most iconic rock albums of all time. Every song is great. Don’t sit here and read reviews of it, just go listen to it you lunatic!
Really cool Irish folk/punk music mashup. Some really memorable interesting music here. The lead singer can be very mumbly at times, but this is probably the progenitor of stuff like Bedouin Soundclash, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Gogol Bordello, etc.
Greatest jazz album of all time. No matter how you feel about jazz normally, this one will pluck your heart strings and make you appreciate something new from it.
Interesting moody electrojazz. Sci fi film noir music.
If you like grunge, you'll dig this. Jane's Addiction have always been one of the forgotten grunge bands, overshadowed by Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc. But they have a really fun vibe, a little less dark than the others.
Very fun electronica. Lots of cool samples and fun vibes.
Nothing special, but a pretty fun electronic album.
It's fine. Cool 70s rock, but nothing that really jumps out and makes it feel unique.
Very cool noise rock. Worth a listen.
All time great. Every song is amazing.
Great soul music and a fun early live album
This has to be one of the most covered albums ever. Every song was a very recognizable super hit… just not this version.
Very cool singer/songwriter style stuff. Love it. Will check out more.
Kind of silly and over the top. I was expecting more from such an iconic album.
Excellent
Amazing. Best hip hop album I’ve heard in years. Maybe ever.
It’s fine but not my cup of tea
Really solid hip hop.
Really cool funky garage rock
Cool low key ambient music
It’s fun, but not as cool as I expected from such an iconic rock band.
