A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Oct 26 2022

Certainly a masterpiece, but Coltrane's sound can also become a little exhausting.

Cinemascope

xx by The xx
Nov 01 2022

Minimal sounds, maximum sympathetic

Fragile by Yes
Nov 11 2022

All time favorite

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Nov 21 2022

Quite nice, but a lot of sound tinkering and little composition.

The Modern Lovers by The Modern Lovers
Nov 22 2022

Jonathan Richman is great. A groundbreaking album for its time.

Abbey Road by Beatles
Nov 24 2022

Very entertaining, but apart from some beautiful pearls also all kinds of mediocre silliness.

Goo by Sonic Youth

Very rocking and straightforward

Melody A.M. by Röyksopp

Unique - and ideal for cold winter days and nights.

Sympathetic teenage punk

Uncompromising rock.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Dec 30 2022

Smells like 60s but still surprisingly fresh.

Station To Station by David Bowie

A fascinating sound experiment on the way to the Berlin Trilogy.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone

Funk with a brain.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Jan 09 2023

A delicious rush

The Yes Album by Yes
Jan 10 2023

The rising of a prog rock legend. Still raw and edgy here and there, but full of impressive new ideas, it is the start of Yes' epic journey (on a sailing ship to nowhere)...

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
Jan 11 2023

He was such a unique talent. His songs are of timeless beauty.

B-52's by The B-52's
Jan 12 2023

A unique record that can be listened to again and again and that immediately spreads a good mood and where you can't sit still.

Sea Change by Beck
Jan 15 2023

His broken heart has allowed Beck to reach top form here and create a real masterpiece.

Jan 16 2023

With this concept album, Genesis reached the peak of their development - and the end. Saw them on the tour of the same name, which was a truly impressive multimedia spectacle for its time.

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Jan 17 2023

Crystal clear and beautiful proof that Sarah Vaughan was one of the greatest singers in jazz - and one of the funniest.

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Jan 18 2023

Very good to listen to, but to me it lacks originality and better lyrics.

Shadowland by k.d. lang
Jan 19 2023

Sound Affects by The Jam
Jan 20 2023

That's entertainment! Very British. A jam made of a little Beatles and a dash of XTC.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Jan 24 2023

Packed with timeless classics that show the full musical range of Led Zeppelin.

Skylarking by XTC
Jan 25 2023

My favourite XTC album. Each track is a unique masterpiece, and I never got tired listening to them over all those years since I buyed this record.

The Renaissance by Q-Tip
Jan 29 2023

Significantly flatter than in his ATCQ contributions, but always unmistakable. Really like "Gettin' Up".

It all sounds the same and doesn't touch me at all.

The brilliant musicians who accompany Joni here make the album a timeless gem.

Guero by Beck
Apr 25 2023
Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
May 18 2023

Very harmonizing band with a virtuoso Miles. However, many pieces are too traditional to be really "cool". Some pearls like "Moon Dreams" and "Godchild" make the album stand out, though. It's just a pity that the recording technology wasn't better back then.

Low by David Bowie
May 27 2023
The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Jun 07 2023
Close To You by Carpenters
Jun 16 2023

A simply beautiful echo of a perfect yet bittersweet world.

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Jul 01 2023

These images of a woman pining for a man seem more than old-fashioned, but the immaculate beauty of the songs themselves is hard to resist.
