Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
May 29 2023

This album is pretty darn good. Had some nice recognizable hits on it. Was fun to listen to. Here are my individual song reviews... Welcome to the Jungle (8/10): Such a banger. The Axl Rose moans are classic. It's So Easy (6/10): Sounds like a Guns N Roses song, but didn't have anything special to set it apart. Pretty solid but only slightly above average. Nightrain (7.5/10): I liked the feel of this song. It was pretty upbeat and felt like more of a feel-good song. Out Ta Get Me (5.5/10): Decent feel, didn't really stick with me in any way. Mr. Brownstone (5.5/10): I believe this song is about some sort of drugs, so I can't really say I relate. Had a nice sound to it though. Paradise City (9/10): TAKE ME HOMEE absolutely love this song. My Michelle (6.5/10): I got into this one a little bit, I didn't really expect to. Pretty decent. Think About You (7.5/10): I never heard this one before, I really thought it was kinda good actually. Sweet Child O' Mine (8.5/10): OK yeah this one is a little overplayed but still a beautiful song. The riff on this one is a classic. You're Crazy (8/10): This one had me up and dancing! Did not expect this so be such a banger. Anything Goes (7/10): I liked it! Not out of this world or anything but it was a good song. Rocket Queen (7/10): Great song!

May 30 2023

Never heard of this band before. The lead singer sounds a lot like the lead singer from Coldplay, and the sounds had a lot of similarities to the early Coldplay as well. However, this album did not quite reach the level of some of those classic early Coldplay albums like Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head. I liked the album but it isn't something I think I need to hear more than once. I love the album cover though that is very cool. 3/5 stars to this album!

Boston by Boston
May 31 2023

SO MANY HITS ON THIS ALBUM!! what a classic Not really my style, but I respect how amazing this album is and it absolutely deserves 4 stars.

Blackstar by David Bowie
Jun 01 2023

Whatever this style is, I didn’t like it. The sound, the instrumentation, the rhythm, it did not fit my taste However, I respect the fact that this was David Bowie's last album and it faces a lot of deep topics like death. So I will bump it up to 2 stars because of this. I think the whole thing just went over my head a bit, not really sure.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Jun 02 2023

Before listening to this album today, I had only heard Thunderstruck, Back in Black, and Highway to Hell. This album was literally 40 minutes of Highway to Hell, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, they could've been a little more creative, but what works works. What can I say. 4/5 stars easily.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Jun 03 2023

Okay this was super interesting to listen to actually, never heard of this guy before, was really intrigued by the impact he had. Of course I don't think I would listen to his stuff every day, but it had a nice jam and it was pretty good! 3/5 stars.

Marcus Garvey by Burning Spear
Jun 04 2023

This album had a nice beat, not my style really. Very similar to the album I had yesterday so I was kinda tired of it. But it will get the same rating. 3/5

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jun 05 2023

Man I really wanted to rate this guy higher, but he just wasn’t at the level of my other 4s. I was surprised to get such a recent album on here. His voice was impeccable and it isn’t the style I usually listen to so it was interesting. While there are no half stars I would like to give this album a 3.5/5 for the record

25 by Adele
Jun 06 2023

Wow I am going to hate myself for doing this. I usually am NOT a pop fan. I find it generic and shallow. But I am rating this one 5/5 stars. Is it because I haven't gotten a 5 star album yet and I really wanted one? Possibly. Is it because I am familiar with Adele and already know her sound? Possibly. Is it because this album was impeccable, with so much feeling and insane vocals? Possibly. Adele, I don't know what you did, but that was an amazing album.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Jun 07 2023

Their guitar sound is amazing!!! The songs did kinda all sound the same but I love the guitar

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Jun 08 2023

I did not know this was the white stripes guy! I was super impressed with the guitar sound and the keys were amazing as well. As a piano player I definitely smiled when I heard the keys come in mostly on the second half of the album.

In It For The Money by Supergrass
Jun 09 2023

I was pleasantly surprised by this album. By the album cover it looked like folk or something but turned out to be some cool rock tunes. 4/5

1999 by Prince
Jun 10 2023

Meh it had a nice groove but I didn’t really vibe with the lyrics.

Movies by Holger Czukay
Jun 11 2023

This album didn't sound horrible but at the same time there was absolutely no purpose or direction whatsoever. It sounded like the artist was playing with random sounds. And the songs were so long for no reason.

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Jun 12 2023

If you can’t sing, then maybe stick to instrumentals. The first couple songs were kind of nice until the guy started singing. It does not deserve a 3 or more. 2/5

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jun 13 2023

Solid album. Not something I want to listen to again perhaps because not really my style but then again I’m glad I listened to it once!

Machine Gun Etiquette by The Damned
Jun 14 2023

They had a pretty good sound and I was happy hearing piano. Kind of mid though with lyrics

I've never had an album give me literal anxiety before. Like what the hell did I just listen to. That being said, this album is either a 1 or a 5, and there is no in-between. Screw this, I'm giving it a 4. Does it sound like children messing around with random sounds and bashing on drums? Yes, yes, it does. Jazz is awesome.

Planet Rock: The Album by Afrika Bambaataa
Jun 16 2023

Yeah no this album sucked. Like how did it even get here.

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
Jun 17 2023

This album was really repetitive but there is no doubt that Jimi Hendrix is amazing at guitar

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Jun 18 2023

It's similar to Radiohead but slightly worse. Radiohead is great so this will get a 3.

Vincebus Eruptum by Blue Cheer
Jun 19 2023

Kinda mid, sounded like an average rock band. Not too bad.

This Is Fats Domino by Fats Domino
Jun 20 2023

Fats Domino is very good band. Yes, very good. Much fun.

Bright Flight by Silver Jews
Jun 21 2023

I have to admit today, I didn't make it past the second song. This guy cannot sing. The instrumentation was nice, but the voice was cringeworthy.

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Jun 22 2023

Not horrible. Not amazing. Solid album. A 3 for 3+3

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Jun 23 2023

First of all, this album is absolutely amazing. Second, I'd like to take a second to appreciate the creative and unique sound of ELO. I mean they are so recognizable anywhere because they have created a sound that no other artist has replicated. Well done on this one.

Jun 25 2023

I can see how this album could be nostalgic for some but it's my first time listening to it and I just don't really see myself listening to it a lot. The singer has a nice voice though.

Run-D.M.C. by Run-D.M.C.
Jun 26 2023

This is the only kind of rap that I actually like. Solid album

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Jun 27 2023

This album carries so much nostalgia for me that I cannot give it any less than a five. Foo fighters has been a family favorite since I was born.

Celebrity Skin by Hole
Jun 28 2023

Yes! I love this album's vibe. Too good to give it a 3 so I'll give it a 4, but just barely.

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Jul 01 2023

I wish I could rate this one higher because it is better than most of my 3s but I think it just fits here. Some of the songs are really good but some just aren't.

All Mod Cons by The Jam
Jul 02 2023

Another average one - not too shabby

Jul 03 2023

YAYY we got a queen album amazing very good yes.

Jul 05 2023

I've only heard of The Prodigy through their collaboration with Tom Morello. This is not my usual vibe but I honestly dig it.

The Pleasure Principle by Gary Numan
Jul 06 2023

Had a really futuristic vibe to it. Pretty impressive stuff but really not for me.

Station To Station by David Bowie
Jul 07 2023

Better than Blackstar? Honestly. I don't get the hype around Bowie.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Jul 10 2023

I really like Morrisey's voice. I know it isn't for everyone! Cool album, fun listen.

GREY Area by Little Simz
Jul 11 2023

OKAY go off girl this was actually really good.

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Jul 13 2023

Dolly is a queen. A gem. I love it. Just listening to her wonderful voice is enough for this album to deserve 5 stars, but her messages are really sweet and powerful.

A Little Deeper by Ms. Dynamite
Jul 15 2023

Okay I actually really liked this. She's no Lauryn Hill and I don't know how she earned a spot in this book but I really liked her vibe.

Jul 16 2023

I did not expect to like this album as much as I did. There are so many hits. I love Champagne Supernova and Don't Look Back in Anger. Yeah Wonderwall is overplayed but this album is great.

Everything Must Go by Manic Street Preachers
Jul 17 2023

No I don't like it. Not one bit. Instrumentation was basic and the vocals were actually horrible.

Ace of Spades by Motörhead
Jul 18 2023

I love me some good old-fashioned rock and roll. Nice guitar soloing!

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Jul 19 2023

Awesome album! Favorite Track: Highway Star

Truth And Soul by Fishbone
Jul 20 2023

Not bad per se, just not my thing!

Fisherman's Blues by The Waterboys
Jul 21 2023

The sheer length of this album just threw me off. It wasn't a bad album but I don't think it belongs here? Anyway the band had a nice sound.

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Jul 22 2023

Felt kind of immature to me, I don't really know why it struck me that way but I just didn't love the vibe.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
Jul 28 2023

The organ was really cool. They kinda reminded me of The Doors but a little heavier.

Jul 29 2023

Very chill and groovy. Not something I would purposely put on, but I can see how some would really appreciate this.

Jul 30 2023

Man I wanted this album to be higher but it really wasn't for me. Some much better rap albums are out there.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Aug 01 2023

I like The Killers, and there are some KILLER songs on the album :)

Aug 02 2023

Has a lot of great songs like Everybody Hurts and Man on the Moon, but not enough to carry the album to a 5.

461 Ocean Boulevard by Eric Clapton
Aug 03 2023

Eric Clapton is just really good at guitar and that is all I have to say.

Wild Wood by Paul Weller
Aug 04 2023

The Rolling Stones by The Rolling Stones
Aug 05 2023

Aug 07 2023

I liked this sound and even though I couldn't understand it I was definitely vibing.

90 by 808 State
Aug 10 2023

Good techno beats. Not something I would ever listen to but its still pretty cool.

The Score by Fugees
Aug 11 2023

Mini mini money mics money mini Jokes aside, this wasn't bad.

Aug 14 2023

I'm not sure where the appeal is with this album. That being said, it is rock, so I don't dislike it necessarily.

War by U2
Aug 15 2023

U2 is a really great band! I have heard some of these songs before and I just love the genre.

Is This It by The Strokes
Aug 17 2023

I was actually SO surprised by this album. I loved it!! I'm going to go listen to more of their songs now!

A Wizard, A True Star by Todd Rundgren
Aug 18 2023

I am surprised I haven't heard of this guy. Interesting psychedelic album.

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Aug 19 2023

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Aug 24 2023

I liked the upbeat vibe, I kinda needed it today. Not a bad album.

Aug 26 2023

Seems like a really talented guy. The band was pretty tight! But not something I would add to a playlist.

Goo by Sonic Youth
Aug 27 2023

The only redeeming quality is the fact that it is in the rock/indie genre.

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Aug 28 2023

I love Radiohead. Period. This isn't their best album but honestly I was pretty surprised at how good some of these were. This should be the soundtrack to the 1984 movie honestly. 2+2=5? That would be super cool. I loved the piano in We Suck Young Blood. Amazing album, 4 stars.

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Aug 29 2023

Not my style but she’s pretty talented.

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Aug 30 2023

I wish it wasn’t so whispery but I really liked all the songs. Favs were Alameda, Ballad of Big Nothing, and No Name No. 5.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen

Sep 09 2023

The Doors are great! Love this music.

Cool album, I had heard of Rush but never really explored their discography.

Arise by Sepultura
Sep 13 2023

Just felt like an average metal album. Not a lot of diversity in the tracks.
