slick guitars, solid n consistent drums, fun and sometimes lame AF lyrics
it's missing some heart in a few places... after awhile it gets quite repetitive and SUPER predictable. missing depth. on the upside it does make me wanna drive a muscle car with the hood down. pretty good on that front... not enough to save it tho

some of these songs r such a slog. his voice bothered me at first but it rlly grew on me. the happy up beat tunes REALLY light up this album and put a smile on my face. the guitars were soooooooo beautiful. I appreciate the artistry n musicianship but idk maybe if I was in a different mood it would hit better but sadly I will be giving this a 2. sorry kitty cat!!!

i rlly like this album. it's complicated. it's bible. Alanis is an amazing poet. an amazing lyricist. an incredible vocalist. this album deserves all the love it's gotten over the years.
and yet ... I really want to give this album a 4 but I have to give it a 3. some of the songs go on for too long and some songs I've heard over and over again at nauseum. if it was new to me I'm sure it would be different.

absolutely legendary album !!! production, lyrics, vocals.... can't be beat. prince is one talented man. I WISH I could give this a 5 BUT automatic is WAY too long and it's a boner kill. SO I'm sorry it's 4 😭 but it is a classic nonetheless.
