This album transported me to so many places in the 1950s/60s: jazz club late at night just vibing- maybe dancing with a handsome man, a cozy, dark living room smoking a cigarette from a holder and drinking a glass of gin, a fancy, expensive restaurant. His voice is like a velvet blanket. So full of soul and life but effortless. A perfect album.

Perfection as they always are. Has two of the most amazing songs ever created on it. Issa 10!

WOW. Where has she been all my life? I absolutely loved this album. Beats set my day up to be a good one. So inventive and different, especially at that time.

Singles are the best songs on the album. The Real People is also good.

Really enjoyed this one. Classic 60s album. Lyrical content seemed more meaningful than others out at that time and the songs seem actually inspired by personal experiences. Butchers Tale was a theatrical joy to listen to.

Album as a whole wasn’t my cup of tea, but can appreciate the instruments and vocals. First half of the album pales by far in comparison to the second half. All of the best songs are in the second half.

Funky and fun. Oye Como Va and Samba Pa Ti are masterpieces.

Decent 80s album. Loved “Mercy Street” and “Don’t Give Up” with Kate Bush. And of course, “In Your Eyes” is a classic.

Album was surprising good. I did, however, like the songs her she had features on the most- “Selfish” and “Pressure” were my favorites.

Quite a few iconic songs on this. Didn’t really love the rest, but did enjoy the song Road Trippin.

I had no idea what to expect with this album, but I loved it. His vocals, the instruments, his political commentary. What a ride.

Iconic. Legendary. It really seemed like all of rap came from this album. How inventive and fresh sounding even still today. Just wow.

It was ok. Not for me, but I can appreciate how incredible Chris’s voice is in every song. And “Black Hole Sun” will always be one of my favorite songs from that era. So three stars for that alone.

“Hungry Like the Wolf” is one of my favorite songs ever, but this album was nowhere near as good as that song would make you think it’d be.

Not really my thing, but it was pretty good and what I expected.

I really enjoyed this album. It seemed to well thought out and there were so many little details that just made it very special to me. I’m shocked I hadn’t heard of them before. I loved almost every song.

Solid album. Some songs had more of a country feel than I was expecting. More like a 3.9 but not a 4

This album left me confused. I liked the instrumentals. Their vocals were okay, different. Fitting for the genre. But I couldn’t make myself like them as a whole.

The instrumental songs were gorgeous. The slow songs were pretty good. The rest was nails on a chalkboard.

Beautiful, classic Cuban music.

Didn’t like it as much as Paul’s Boutique, but the last half of the album is filled with heavy hitters and makes up for the first half.

Really enjoyed the vibe of this one. Listened to it on a rainy day and it was perfect.
