Pop album by a pop singer that had a bunch of pop hits on it. 😁

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Aug 13 2025

Quality breaks, top scratching and pure samples, this is an easy recommendation for anyone that likes peanut butter wolf style instrumental hip hop.

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Aug 14 2025

Pretty average for the time, I know it's a hot take but I find this album to be mid and a bit overly wordy at times. I would say I wouldn't turn it off but I also wouldn't pick it out. Running Up That Hill is and always was a bit grating, especially after Stranger Things and kids found out about it.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Aug 15 2025

This is a great example of a live album.

Pretenders by Pretenders
Aug 16 2025

Nice classic rock album with plenty of hits. Always hits when it comes up on shuffle.

Low by David Bowie
Aug 18 2025

It's kinda like if David Bowie did a soundtrack for an indie movie and he had a sore throat so he couldn't sing at all that day.

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Aug 19 2025

I know this is a culturally relevant album but for me it's more the nostalgia. Still, as a folk record, it's pretty mid.

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Aug 21 2025

Acid rock in it's prime, what a magical time for the genre. This one crossed over to a Grateful Dead vibe for me. Familiar with the band and have a few albums, but I had not heard this one and I'm glad I listened to it. Definitely gonna seek this one out!

Aug 22 2025

Classic angry rap album here. I usually recommend this one first if I'm suggesting Public Enemy, it just really has it's own vibe. Terminator X really has amazing samples and is a tribute to his craft. Chuck's bars are tight and complex as always, and Flava Flav is the hype man for the people. All around great album.

21 by Adele
Aug 23 2025

Pop album by a pop singer that had a bunch of pop hits on it. 😁

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Aug 24 2025

It's so nice and chill I almost wanted to study for an exam or something.

Aug 25 2025

Nice live album, every song you probably didn't know you knew, but you probably know! I loved the soulful twist on these classics, probably pick this up for myself.

Boston by Boston
Aug 26 2025

This is one of those rare albums where you can drop the needle on Side A and there's no song skips on either side. When I listened to it toda the last song played and it wrapped, so I listened to it again and was just as happy to hear it. It's just that good.

Back to Basics by Christina Aguilera
Aug 29 2025

X-tina has a bunch of great songs, girl can sing. Not sure what's special about this one in particular, it's kinda mid and it only had one, maybe two hits on it. There's definitely better ones. Side note: someone from The Voice said in an interview that she smells like hot dog water and I've never really let go of that. I wonder if that's true?

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Aug 30 2025

Not a bad album. It gets a little "jam band"ish which is alright by me. Obvious hits on here that land this album on the list on their own, the rest is probably not as notable. Still choogles!

Lam Toro by Baaba Maal
Aug 31 2025

What an interesting album. I looked into this fella a bit and he's got at least 16 albums, but somehow this is the first I've heard of him. I definitely enjoyed the music and the whole vibe, and there was more than enough bongo to satisfy my unending need for the hour this was on. Would recommend.

Mermaid Avenue by Billy Bragg
Sep 01 2025

A little m'eh for me personally. You might like it though.

Punk for punk lovers. If you don't know this one, do you even? Definitely one you would recommend to someone who wants to explore the roots of the genre. That is, if they don't already know it.

Shadowland by k.d. lang
Sep 03 2025

Not for this guy, sorry.

Happy Sad by Tim Buckley
Sep 05 2025

This is what you would call an "appropriately titled" album. This guy feels.

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
Sep 06 2025

Great folk rock album, this baby hums all the way through. Definitely worth a listen if you're new to CSN/CSNY.

Caetano Veloso by Caetano Veloso
Sep 07 2025

Interesting album, sounded great musically, never really heard anything like it before. Wild!

Sep 08 2025

This was a wild ride... It kind of sounds like someone may have let a wild turkey in the studio or something. I'm really not sure what exactly that was about. Interesting none the less, definitely different!

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Sep 09 2025

Good soul album, just not great.

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Sep 10 2025

Great album indeed. Not their best though. Still solid 5 either way.

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Sep 11 2025

Great album, not my favorite by this band but still pretty alright.

Sep 12 2025

For a psych rock album, this one is okay but it's not really that special, nothing really stands out about it. It's fine, just not much more than mid.

Purple Rain by Prince
Sep 13 2025

Just a great soundtrack to a great movie by a great artist. Who needs more?

Blood And Chocolate by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Sep 14 2025

If you said "hey I'm gonna put on an Elvis Costello album" and didn't tell me anything else about it, I would hear this and say "yeah, that's Elvis Costello alright".

Dear Science by TV On The Radio
Sep 15 2025

This reminded me of Arcade Fire, but in a not so expensive to see live kinda way.

Harvest by Neil Young
Sep 17 2025

Good album with a few decent tunes, best enjoyed with headphones.

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Sep 19 2025

Yeah this is another Elvis Costello album alright. Not that it's a bad album or anything, he's just always kind of the same on everything. And that's fine if that's your thing. 🥰

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Sep 20 2025

This is a pretty mid album, sorry all you that love them, just not my thing fully.

Sea Change by Beck
Sep 21 2025

If you gave me a stack of CDs with Beck's catalog of music, and I listened to that stack, and you then asked me about this CD in particular, I would politely respond by saying "oh right, that's in there too" but, to be honest, I probably would have forgotten about it by then.

Red Dirt Girl by Emmylou Harris
Sep 22 2025

I... Just didn't really care for this one.

Tommy by The Who
Sep 23 2025

All I can say about this one is that he sure plays a mean pinball.

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Sep 24 2025

It's an alright album, I don't personally think it's anything amazing not I wouldn't turn it off either. Perfect 3 star candidate

Actually by Pet Shop Boys
Sep 25 2025

Great band, great era of music, great style... Just love it all the way through.

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
Sep 26 2025

Interesting folk rock record. Kind of in it's own vibe but I dig it!

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Sep 27 2025

Classic Jimmy, cut down before his time. Imagine how many more bangers we'd be hearing if he had been around!

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Sep 28 2025

Probably their best work, and not just saying that because I played the shit outta this tape when it came out.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Sep 29 2025

This was definitely an interesting album. I'm just not sure it's interesting in the way you would want.

Revolver by Beatles
Oct 01 2025

Some of the best pop to come out of the entire decade!

Colour By Numbers by Culture Club
Oct 02 2025

What a fabulous romp through electric eighties!

Bossanova by Pixies
Oct 04 2025

I like the Pixies, but this isn't their best album. It's fine, just, there's better.

Dry by PJ Harvey
Oct 05 2025

This album was, indeed, dry.

The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Oct 06 2025

Early Souxsie? Yes please!

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Oct 07 2025

JT is okay. But it's kinda behind me why they're so popular. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oct 08 2025

Blur before Bllur became Blur. Nice little album here, catchy tunes.

Rio by Duran Duran
Oct 10 2025

Spectacular album by a spectacular band.

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Oct 11 2025

This sure was a thing alright. What was that thing though?

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Oct 12 2025

Decent album, some catchy tunes on it.

Shleep by Robert Wyatt
Oct 13 2025

This album isn't for everybody. I'm everybody I guess.

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Oct 14 2025

It's a fine Marley album

Walking Wounded by Everything But The Girl
Oct 15 2025

Excellent album full of wonderful melodies and soothing key progressions. Well thought out lyrics. Just a well crafted album in general.

Nick Of Time by Bonnie Raitt
Oct 16 2025

There's a ton of people out there that love Bonnie Raitt. Personally... She's alright if I'm in the mood for it.

Midnight Ride by Paul Revere & The Raiders
Oct 17 2025

You just need help, girl.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Oct 18 2025

Such a good album. Don't get me wrong, it's no Thriller but it's still a great listen minus a few yawns.

xx by The xx
Oct 19 2025

I liked this a lot more than I initially thought I would. Will play again.

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Oct 21 2025

3.5/5 album, the second half is kind of a snooze fest.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Oct 23 2025

It's another gatefold that sings over the lines. But that doesn't matter, you're supposed to listen to the whole thing. Still gotta flip sides every 15 minutes, really kills your buzz. Eh, just watch the movie instead and call it a day.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Oct 24 2025

Unless you've just never heard of this band, this album is probably the most popular Fleetwood Mac album I see when I'm digging through crates at the flea market. I think everyone bought it and played the shit out of it. If you would rather save some money, there's probably about a hundred variants out there if you look. Get you a nice copy for like $5.

Vulnicura by Björk
Oct 26 2025

This one is a bit out there for me personally

BEYONCÉ by Beyoncé
Oct 27 2025

Interesting spin this one. I liked it more than I thought I would.

This one was a whole vibe and I was into it!

Parklife by Blur
Nov 01 2025

One of their best before they went weird on me.

Nov 03 2025

I would henceforth consider the jams to have been successfully kicked out.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Nov 04 2025

This is almost a 4.

Cut by The Slits
Nov 06 2025

M'eh, pink just isn't my jam I guess.

The Bends by Radiohead
Nov 08 2025

It's not OK Computer but it's still a bop.

Nov 09 2025

Sade hits all the right notes.

Nov 10 2025

Interesting?

Freak Out! by The Mothers Of Invention
Nov 14 2025

I freaked out when I heard this.

On The Beach by Neil Young
Nov 15 2025

Neil dies an album, people love it. It's not Harvest tho.

Wild Gift by X
Nov 17 2025

This one just wasn't for me. Maybe they made it for you?

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Nov 18 2025

What an album. What a legend. What a whatever else one might typically say about an excellent album of the rap variety.

Run-D.M.C. by Run-D.M.C.

The Wildest! by Louis Prima

I had a wail'n time listing to this swingin' banger!

Nov 28 2025

This eased my mind like something... I just can't put my finger on it.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Dec 01 2025

Probably their finest outing, RHCP had a sound that you know is theirs alive and it feels just right.

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Dec 02 2025

Amazing album by an amazing band. Fireball is just a bit better though.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters by Fiona Apple
Dec 03 2025

I love Fiona Apple's whole vibe. There's a better experience out there than this, but it's still really good.

Dec 11 2025

Levon is still my favorite Elton John song and it's on here, although this isn't my favorite Elton John album. Regardless, it's cohesive and a good listen all the way through.

Imagine by John Lennon
Dec 13 2025

Just imagine if this album didn't exist. What would hipsters listen to?

Dec 17 2025

Definitely her finest effort. Saw her do the album live a couple years back and she's still amazing.

Dec 18 2025

Great album all the way through. Every song is a bop.
