Loved the transitions, love Sam’s energy, The jazz and soul were strong here, love these Cooke songs are banger, felt like I was there at a concert which was cool. Songs were weaved together well with happy in beginning and then sad and relatable relationships with it ending on a happy note. Love my Sam Cooke.
I realize the impact. Miles Davis pushed jazz and ventured into what is known today as modal jazz. To me though I’m more of a Motown, fast pace, swing jazz guy. Overall I liked it but not something I would listen to again unless I’m studying or working.
I love Aretha Franklin, love her voice within this album and the power she echos from it. She is the queen of soul. Love the soul within this project with all sorts of instrumentals, drums, piano, guitar, trumpet and much more. A very nice RnB and soul album that lead great impact.
Absolutely peak, better than Radiohead. Knights of Condonia is cinema
Better than Kind of Blues, liked the swing of it and this kind of jazz was nice.
Really fun and different indie rock album, lot of cool instrumentals and vibe.
Loved the experimentation with opera and rock. Love how all over the place the album is theme wise. Some songs didn’t stick out to me while some did. Very strong album but not one of my favorites.
Absolute masterpiece, this album had great instrumentals with using guitar, piano, violins, and yes… kettle pots. This album discovers fears and anxieties of loss, through everything. This album resonates deep within me emotionally and confounds me in a way I’ve never felt before.
Very experimental and werid at first but as I listened through the more and more I liked it. It’s a masterpiece using samples to convey a story of how mere samples can become blossoms of art, using this eerie album as an example.
Huh, so that’s why Queen is the goat.
Very good rock album, deep and personally on drug addiction and coming up from rock bottom. An easy and strong 3.
Album was pretty good, liked the vocals and instrumentation. Very soulful and lively but here’s the thing, this felt like Aretha Franklin but not as good in my opinion. I didn’t think this album was anything really special but it was nice.
I like Bob Marley, he is peak Regae
Again just like miles Davis, great jazz to walk to and listen to but to me personally it was like ground breaking jazz to my ears, but it was very nice.
Really good indie rock album.
Thought album was really good. Loved the rock and roll with classic rock mix. Just a very nice album.
Loved the album, Nate it’s not punk rock get your facts straight
Nothing crazy, just some sexy rock.
Cool songs and story but messy putting it together.
I found this album really interesting. I loved the retro and electronic synth rock of this album. Probably a 3 but I really like how it sounds.
This is not peak Black Sabbath but it’s pretty good, I loved the western folk rock within it. However we all know that when one becomes paranoid it becomes peak from within.
Decent folk rock, some strong songs but some slow burns I feel.
Overall a pretty good album. They really thought they invented the electric organ… or maybe they did…
This album is gorgeous and I love it!
I liked the funk and disco and occasional rock to this album but ultimately it wasn’t for me.
1 of the most visual albums I have ever listened to. Never gonna be a sound like björk
I like the message, freeing yourself from traumatic and toxic situations, I think the album was well put together but wasn’t for me.
Really like the electronic retro dance music.
This was fantastic country and folk
Loved the instrumental and desert blues but felt like the lyrics didn’t match well with the rhythm and beat
I don’t know where to start. This album was a mess and the middle was a slog to get through. There were 4 takeaway songs and the 2 and other 2 were the start and endings. All the middle stuff was just boring. I don’t think it was a total lost cause again some songs were good but it’s really close to a 1.
Did anyone catch on good friends the Stevie wonder hidden feature? Yeah man this was fantastic pop and a rnb album that still gives that groove.
I really enjoyed this rock band, they are also doing modern albums too :)
It’s really interesting, has a lot of different musical themes.
I really didn’t like how lazy his voice sounded. It was ok but definitely not for me.
Some of the best rock and dreamy rock you could ever listen to
The beats and beat switches are immaculate
It wasn’t even bad, just was not exciting to me.
It was really good but there are some ups and downs with this one. A solid 3.
This album was so unique and interesting. I believe it was the first rock/hiphop album
This one is tough because I feel it has a lot of ups and downs. Overall I could see myself listening to some of the tracks again and coming back to this project.
I just didn’t care for this when listening to it. Like there are some interesting beats but I just found it very underwhelming.
Holy snooze fest. Only like 3 good songs and 2 of them are good cause my smoker isn’t chirping.
This album was very ambitious and creative but it turned out to be a terrible creation. It’s just terrible to listen to.
This album was incredible. Wasn’t feeling the first 3 tracks but then it just picked up from there and was astonishing. Going back heroine and we are the pigs aren’t even that bad and the intro is ok. Overall just a phenomenal album with emotion all over the place. Fast and slow, rock and orchestration.
This one is really tough because on one hand I really enjoyed this electronic, alien like rock that conveyed this eerie story but on the other hand do I think it is a 4? Yes, yes I do.
This albums chemistry was fantastic, songs were good and overall a really solid piece of work.
This album is phenomenal and will go down as one of the deepest love/heart break albums of all time.
Overall a fantastic funky hip hop album
This was fantastic, loved the sax.
This is green onions but better because more jazz is incorporated.
Great Latin album with lots of cool sounds like the electric organ and chimes.
This was a fantastic, hiphop record that brought old school beats and a nice flow by Missy.
This album makes me very happy and filled with life.
Really cool south western Latin music here.
I’m disappointed. I thought this would be the album in arcade fire’s discography that would fight against there beautifully crafted soul reaching album funeral. This album was just so on and off for me. I really like crawl 1 and 2 and some others like suburbs but none of these songs compare to any on funeral. Overall it was a total disappointment as I did get some good songs but also some misses and no songs that really touched me except crawl 1 and 2
Very bland and not a lot going on.
I really liked how she incorporated jazz, disco all into folk rock and country but I only liked a few songs on here and it felt very lack luster.
I was very mixed on this but after a second listen I really enjoyed the chemistry and rawness on this record and it’s just so bad ass.
This was a really weird experimental album that wasn’t totally for me but I like how werid it is so I’m giving it a low 3.
This album was interesting with its pop centric electro dance sounds.
Decent soulful blues but nothing crazy.
Eh it was a once and done album, the balls of Johnny cash cannot be understated.
Really cool physiodelic music.
I thought it was good, first leg felt very repetitive but then the later half started to feel unique per song. Overall really good dance music along with good messaging.
So the static I’m still not the biggest fan of but the vocals are really good and the instrumentals are good as well. I enjoyed.
Loved this country cow boy album.
I loved this album, very nice Latin jazz. I will say that I will and will never be a fan of albums that repeat songs on them. Aretha Franklin did it as well and I just think it’s outright lazy so they can fill their criteria of minutes in an album. But the music is so good it’s still a 4, one of the most chill albums to me.
Overall this was a decent jazz singing album.
This album was not good lyrically and vocally. However the instrumentals did cook at times but not all the time. Also what is bro yapping about splitting the Chinese sky open 😂.
This was a pretty good live album however I’m not the biggest fan of live albums because it’s a lot of their popular songs combined with other covers. A 3 to me is appropriate.
Culture, celebration, voice, love, and great instrumentation.
This was a cool abstract album.
This album was just amazing with atmosphere and story telling.
I love the versatility of the folk, rock, blues, and country however I think the second leg is a lot weaker than the first. Overall I liked about half of the album. It was decent but with the last 4 being meh it’s a work I respect but won’t go back to.
I’m very mixed. I really like the messaging however the inconsistency’s for me amount to more than the great messaging.
I really like this eerie physcodelic jazz album
Just an amazing RnB love album that encapsulates Marvin Gaye’s sense of love for the genre.
A very good melancholy rock album that was very introspective.
This was a fantastic album that was emotionally charged and filled with great lyrical meaning and instrumental.
