Track a - very heavy, alto soloist awesome Track b - plunger sounds so good - like this one a lot more got a slow swing then it speeds up. I like when the saxes come in and are just so sassy The jazz is very very chaotic (don’t hate it) Charles Mingus being a bassist and making this music makes a lot of sense Spotify says he wanted this to be a ballet… not sure that would work very well Track c - I’ve heard this before! Guitar??? Track c my fav so far by a lot. Blend is so good very good supporting line Medley - also heard this before love the bass at the start. I love the guitar. Love the sections. 🪠 finally some trombone This album just got better and better as it went on storytelling so good lots of emotion Ranking: c > b = medley > a

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Apr 25 2026

No (first listen, made it half way through) Second listen (since *some* people were mad I didn’t like it the first time): Power of equality sounds like the boy band from lemonade mouth just a little Redeeming songs: I could have lied, under the bridge, sir psycho sexy (very funk-y and that last bit where he’s not singing is so so good) Overall still a 2 but those final minutes of sir psycho sexy almost brought it up to a 3. I do appreciate the funk of it all but I don’t think I’ll be revisiting anytime soon

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Apr 26 2026

Me when stevie wonder -> 😁😁😆😆😆😆😄😃😃🥳😆🎉🎉😆🙌🙌🙌🎊🎊🎊😁😁😁 My fav stevie is the album made after this one so excited to see what came before Track 1: I love him so much stevie my king Love 10 zillion and love the groove on you haven’t done nothin Refreshing after sex magik and it’s so short! I still like songs in the key of life better but this is very classic stevie and I love Favorite: you haven’t done nothin

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Apr 27 2026

this album contains probably my favorite song of all time - walk of life thank you to my dad for introducing me early to some dire straits So far away starts playing and it’s like I'm a teeny tiny child with my dad singing to me 🥺🥺 Like the amount of instrumental and how it complements the lyrics but the second half of the album wasn’t super strong or memorable for me maybe I’m too biased from the ones I know Favorite is walk of life and second is so far away. Both those songs are five stars but overall …

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Apr 28 2026

So many* things to say this album has made me realize that reggae is really not my thing

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Apr 29 2026

Sarah Vaughan just serenaded me through the grad problem on nonlinear

Moondance by Van Morrison
Apr 30 2026

Honestly pretty good

Ace of Spades by Motörhead
May 01 2026

Would be higher if it didn’t feel like one thirty six minute song

Queen II by Queen
May 04 2026

Queen II Awesome. Love. Freddie mercury voice of an angel.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
May 05 2026

Really liked it and will be realistening Love how it started so crazy, fast tempo, lots going on and then slowed itself down. Super cool. Very deserving of my first 5 stars

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
May 06 2026

Lots of brass. I liked it a lot

The Stooges by The Stooges
May 07 2026

On the second song - I don’t like it We will fall has got to be one of the worst pieces of music I have ever had the misfortune of hearing No fun slightly redeemed this album but I still have lots of hate for the whole thing. The amount of relief I felt when it ended is immeasurable

Walking Wounded by Everything But The Girl
May 08 2026

Not bad but got super repetitive and her voice started to annoy me (this was how I felt on the third song) End opinion - not a fan but wish I was. I feel like some people might really really like this but there was just something missing for me. I was very happy when it ended. I feel like her voice is a big part of the band’s success but there was something about it that I didn’t like

Faith by George Michael
May 14 2026

WHAM! Did not make it through the HOUR AND FORY FIVE MINUTES OF MUSIC but not bad

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
May 15 2026

Definitely not in spanish

In Our Heads by Hot Chip
May 20 2026

Hot chip: good for eating and good for dancing!!! Really really liked this one

The Trinity Session by Cowboy Junkies
May 21 2026

Not sure if it’s the lack of sleep or the stress of having my flight rebooked five times but I quite liked this Also the band is canadian! And I’m going to canada! And I’m quite behind of ratings but I’ll use this weekend to catch up

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
May 22 2026

I liked it but I liked sticky fingers quite a bit more. This is a much more mellow stones

The White Album by Beatles
May 25 2026

So many different styles but my favorites have to be the mellow acoustic ones or really any of paul mccartney’s Top song - I will

1989 by Taylor Swift
May 29 2026

T swift can drop some heat (or at least she used to be able to before she started dating that FREAK from kansas city) But I do like this album a bit and it has so many of the t swift songs I would choose to listen to (blank space, style, shake it off, bad blood, wildest dreams, how you get the girl)

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Jun 01 2026

I listened to it on friday and at the time I thought it was good but now I remember nothing about it

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Jun 02 2026

I liked some of the songs but it just felt like they were trying to tell me something in a very loud and very aggressive way.

There's A Riot Goin' On by Sly & The Family Stone
Jun 04 2026

Kind of underwhelming? I feel like it would’ve been better if I had really sat with the lyrics but on a first listen it just felt like something was missing. I did like a lot of the instrumentals though, very funky

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Jun 05 2026

The audience was going crazy Didn’t hate it though

Play by Moby
Jun 09 2026

I can see its merits but each song just felt three minutes too long (and yes, each song was in total about three minutes long)

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Jun 11 2026

Was really quite unremarkable for me until I suddenly started recognizing everything

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
Jun 12 2026

I have a feeling rowan is not going to like this one

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Jun 17 2026

vivid memories of bert and i screaming the ah ah ahhhh ah part at the beginning of the immigrant song as loud as we could until our mom told us to stop

Jack Takes the Floor by Ramblin' Jack Elliott
Jun 18 2026

I feel like I would like this is I was a completely different person

Deloused in the Comatorium by The Mars Volta
Jun 19 2026

ok yes. I like this a lot. don't even care how long the songs are. and I feel like I would have LOVED this in middle school. (and sorry devon, I didn't fully listen to the lyrics but perhaps on a relisten I will pay more attention)

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Jun 22 2026

Yes

25 by Adele
Jun 23 2026

Vivid memories of this cd being played as my mom drove berty and me to school 🥺 we’d just be belting the most emotional lyrics in our little kid voices from the backseat. I’m sure we blended quite well with adele’s voice Maybe a nostalgia bias but this album is actually so good. The lyrics, the VOCALS, the music. Such a pretty listen Can’t even pick a favorite but my mom would play remedy on the piano so I have a specific love for that one

Harvest by Neil Young
Jun 29 2026

bob dylan take notes - this is how you play a harmonica

Jun 30 2026

this could have been 20 minutes and i would have gotten the same exact thing out of it. no thank you.

Jul 02 2026

i don't know why but this one took me a really long time to listen to. just wasn't feeling it

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Jul 03 2026

I like summer breeze and I like that lady and I liked this album overall

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Jul 06 2026

don't really have much of an opinion. kind of turned into background noise at some point...

Buena Vista Social Club by Buena Vista Social Club
Jul 07 2026

almost walked in front of a bus while listening to this. a trauma album for me.

Time Out Of Mind by Bob Dylan
Jul 08 2026

better than the last one but every song was just so long, and I never want to listen to this ever again. ever. I wish I wasn't a bob dylan hater but his voice makes me angry and I don't think it will grow on me. appreciated the lack of harmonica. the only reason I knew this album was over was when a new song began with that cursed instrument

Aha Shake Heartbreak by Kings of Leon
Jul 09 2026

THIRTY SEVEN MINUTES! beautiful. and the longest song is four minutes, I could cry after listening though - pretty underwhelmed, glad it was so short

Clandestino by Manu Chao
Jul 10 2026

fun! short! enjoyed!

Teen Dream by Beach House
Jul 15 2026

I like this a lot

White Ladder by David Gray
Jul 16 2026

not terrible but very boring

Freak Out! by The Mothers Of Invention
Jul 17 2026

Needed to edit because I wrote my first review before the last three songs (or maybe I wasn't paying good enough attention before that) and that's when things got real weird. Reminds me of Coraline. Suzy Creamcheese

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Jul 20 2026

good but not for me. the frayed ends of sanity is great when you're in a rush (I was late for something and this song made me feel like I was on a high stakes mission)

A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Jul 21 2026

can't deny it's a very influential album and some consider it the best jazz of all time, but doesn't quite do it for me. i like my jazz to be a tiny bit more structured and with a lot more brass (biased opinion but whatever) and maybe more dancey too. i want my jazz to be stuck in my head for the rest of the week. john was rippin it though

Fuzzy by Grant Lee Buffalo
Jul 22 2026

feels like a combination of a bunch of things I like. thumbs up to this one.

Imperial Bedroom by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jul 23 2026

not my favorite. eternal. couldn’t wait for it to be over. the music wasn’t bad bad but just not for me

Henry's Dream by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Jul 24 2026

don’t like it

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Jul 27 2026

Fun and funky and I liked it 😊

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Jul 29 2026

made the nastiest face when the "singing" started. made me want to throw up but not necessarily in a bad way? pere ubu is lucky this is only 35 minutes because I think that's all I can handle also - the pere ubu song that autoplayed after the album was much more enjoyable than anything on dub housing :(

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Jul 30 2026

pretty good but I like elton when he's super fun and flashy and dancey (maybe I just like dancing). the first half was good but I'm pretty indifferent to the second half. I probably liked levon the best (hot take - I don't love tiny dancer)

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Jul 31 2026

don't have super strong opinions toward. parts of it I really didn't like, but there were parts I really did like.

enjoyed it, but for some reason spotify loves to play a song I like more than the album after the last song. still wasn't my favorite album, but I feel wrong giving it the same stars as dub housing

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Aug 04 2026

oh to be alanis morissette in the 90s favorite song was head over feet

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
Aug 06 2026

big tench inch record made me giggle and happened to be my favorite

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Aug 07 2026

Perfection (even though there’s a more perfect michael jackson album)

Highly Evolved by The Vines
Aug 12 2026

Very 2000s coming of age I liked it! Favorite was country yard

Aug 13 2026

Yes!! I remember learning about this album in a history of pop class I took in hs. Very influential in its own way as I remember. But good yay! Good airport listen!

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Aug 14 2026

FIVE FIVE FIVE Perfect I love Most iconic album cover ever? This is very tarry harvey. And he would tell you that this is not bruce springsteen, it’s the boss
