White Blood Cells
The White StripesWhilst there are a couple of stand out tracks, this feels more like a collection of songs than a coherent album, so once it finished I was left feeling underwhelmed and unimpressed
Whilst there are a couple of stand out tracks, this feels more like a collection of songs than a coherent album, so once it finished I was left feeling underwhelmed and unimpressed
Thrash Metal with an experimental edge, the rare non-Scandinavian metal band really blows it out of the park with this
I don't hate it, but by the same token, I don't love it.
wasn't sure about this at first, but eventually, it grew on me, occasional moments of brilliance on this album but plenty of mediocrity as well, overall above average but nothing special
Thoroughly enjoyed it throughout, not much more to say other than that
It may not be the most influential album, or even my favourite Aerosmith album, but really enjoyed my whole time listening
Whilst there are a couple of stand out tracks, this feels more like a collection of songs than a coherent album, so once it finished I was left feeling underwhelmed and unimpressed
An outstanding album, fully deserves 5 stars
Not normally my kind of music, but I still really enjoyed listening to this.
I'm not sure about this, it was ok but I won't be listening again
IMO the peak of Meatloaf, starts out strong then coasts a little then picks back up towards the end
Starts out with a bang, quickly fades into a whisper. There is only one good track here, the rest is all forgettable dross
great rave music, or in my case great for keeping me motivated whilst working.
Feels like a precursor of what was to come in the '70s which given the release date isn't a surprise, I found it pleasant to listen to and fairly inoffensive
Enjoyed it, no individual track stands out as amazing but the overall whole was great
Countryish meh, nothing about this album stands out or excites me, nor do I find it pleasant to just have in the background, I would prefer silence to this mediocrity
I didn't hate it, I didn't love it, I just found it boring
Enjoyed start to finish, beautifully gloomy and gothic will absolutely be listening again
Pretty good if you like that sort of thing (which I do)
First album I didn't want to finish, was just noise not music
Fairly standard Britpop, but a pretty decent example of that genre
I thought I would enjoy this one, but about 10 mins in I gave up on it, I just found it unimaginative and kinda dull
It's not my favourite Beatles album, but the hallmarks of quality still shine throughout
pretty good, enjoyed it throughout
I don't hate the idea of experimental music, I think it has an important space in the overall musical landscape, I also think it's unlistenable. The work that it inspires will be great, and with that in mind, it's not a 0-star album but I would never listen to this by choice
Don't quite know why I never listened before, love it!
Pretty good, I'm not always a fan of some bloke with an acoustic guitar, but they managed to do a good enough job top get past the barrier
Thrash Metal with an experimental edge, the rare non-Scandinavian metal band really blows it out of the park with this
pretty good, liked it a lot
I have poor opinions on experimental music, this hasn’t changed but this lies on the more listenable side, reminds me a little of Mike Oldfield of whom I’m a fan so it gains points for that
I've heard it hundred times before, its not bad, just not amazing
As far as 60s pop goes, I like it
pretty decent hip hop
not really my cup of tea, but not bad I guess?
pretty good
lovely voice, excellent guitar, lovely jazz
so I found most of the album kinda pleasant, but it failed to really provoke any kind of emotional response from me, just kinda fell flat, album art is cool however, so bonus point for that
The prodigy at their peak, a great album
didn't really gel with it, couldn't get past the first track even
classic 70s rock, whilst I think later generations have iterated and created newer and more unique sounds, this generation of musicians will remain somewhat timeless
Fairly archetypical rock for the time, still holds up today
I'm not a fan of folk-rock, this hasn't changed my mind
Not too bad, created a kinda bleak melancholic soundscape for me, which I enjoy but may not be for everyone
Classics performed well, I tolerate Christmas music, but I hated listening to album of them one after the other
Can’t find anything wrong with it
heavy yet not too heavy and with a playful edge, have listened to it before will probably listen again
It’s fine
I found this so dull and uninteresting to listen to
One of the best hip hop albums ever made, has some parts your gonna want to skip on repeated listens but absolutely give it at least one full playthrough
Great voice, overproduced music, I think Beyoncé has produced some fantastic singles, but l couldn't enjoy this album
I much prefer Joy Division as a singles band, this much all at once gave me no joy
One of the greatest bands the British music industry has ever produced, this is a snapshot of them at the height of there powers
strong opening, really liked the first track but, wasn't really keen on the follow-ups, it wasn't bad, but it didn't really add anything else.
it's fine I guess, but I wouldn't say you need to listen to it
Not bad, pretty good in fact
Loved it, whilst it may not have any of Stevies greatest hits its a still a great album
I liked it, but occasionally found that the music and vocals had maybe a slightly too harsh edge to it that I found off putting, feels like this style was one of many competing strains pre Grunge that could have become the next big thing but lost out in the end to grunge.
I did not enjoy this, it was almost a chore to listen to, not what I look for in music
Fine as atmospheric music but some guys lengthy piano solos is not my idea of music to dedicate yourself listening to
I found this a bit hit and miss, some really great tracks next to some mediocre ones, overall not bad, but not exceptional
A raucous at times dissonant soundscape, I love it, but wouldn't put it above some other cleaner more tightly put together music
It feels like listening to the same track for half an hour, which is fine, as I quite like this sort of music.
Sounds like proto punk, loud, aggressive and not massively complex, and not especially good either, being the forerunner of a genre does not I feel qualify as an album you MUST listen to
Adeles powerful vocals overpower some mediocre lyrics, there are some absolute classics on here but I found that many tracks got a little too repetitive over time
It’s alright, but nothing impressive
Smooth instrumentals undone by pretentious lyrics, but I found it pleasant to listen to in the background even so
Forgettable
I'm not really a fan of this kind of music, it's not bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to it
