Great variety and original production. Songs range from catchy to moody, and I will need a longer time to digest. It goes into the playlist though.

There us a repetitive groove in most songs - seems like it was made for the dance clubs, and it seems like quite nice background music for parties. The production is good, and it does not sound like an album from the 70s. There are some catchy pop tunes sprinkled in like "O Plebeu". It seems that the Taj Mahal chorus predates Rod Stewart's (Do ya think I'm sexy), and has very much the same harmonic flow. Interesting. The album sometimes gets bogged down in slightly uninspired rhythmic exercises, but then a new melody will come along to get your attention again.

There is a certain nostalgia to the album. It has that very 90s feel, but Bjork's song craft often elevates the songs in different moments. There are many humdrum passages followed by dramatic moments of beauty. A great debut indeed.

Sharp dressed man has an incredible driving beat that gets you involuntarily nodding along. They definitely upped the power for the 80s compared to their older work, and the muscular, sometimes simplified progression of the songs tops into the cock rock world, while still maintaining their Texas Identity. The tunes are always listenable, and some take a few tries to really get into.

Quite a range of new sounds in this album. Save the life of my child is an unusual beginning, with psychedelic bass and choir screams. There is updated guitar sounds still, and the trademark harmonies are not always to the forefront. The famous tunes still stand up, and the complex song structures stand out compared to modern tunes.

Uneven, but some absolute bangers too.

This is impressive. Some great renditions of a lot of these tunes.
