Popular Reviews

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar

Listened to the whole thing and now I can honestly say, this album is complete ass and Kendrick Lamar deserves zero praise for this lazy edgelord garbage.

This is the epitome of boring 90's hip-hop. Extreme "My name is X and I'm here to say, I like to rap in a major way" energy. Lyrics aren't terrible but the performers sound like they're bored 90% of the time. You can almost hear some of the influences to modern hip-hop, but really the instrumentals between verses is the only unique sound between songs.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading

Never heard of her but was pleasantly surprised. Very talented, great voice. Didn't connect with some of the songs but others blew me away.

m b v by My Bloody Valentine

Sounds like a jam band that can't decide when to stop. Every song overstays its welcome with overdone effects and droning lyrics.

Tapestry by Carole King
Oct 09 2023

Didn't realize So Far Away was by her. I've only heard the Rod Stewart version before. What a beautiful song. I've heard It's Too Late on oldies stations growing up... not too big of a fan. Way Over Yonder is beautiful. Very soulful and demonstrates her great voice. I've heard you've got a friend before, pretty good song. (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman is a classic.

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Oct 10 2023

Great album. No wonder they call him King of the blues.

Listened to the whole thing and now I can honestly say, this album is complete ass and Kendrick Lamar deserves zero praise for this lazy edgelord garbage.

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Jun 29 2026

Decent, not the best Dolly album but has a couple good tracks. Below average overall though.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Jun 30 2026

Never heard of her but was pleasantly surprised. Very talented, great voice. Didn't connect with some of the songs but others blew me away.

Not a fan of Bob Dylan, his voice just grates on my ears. Somehow his voice was even more annoying on this live album. Was really hard to make it through this one.

Jul 02 2026

Great early 90s metal album. Got a few classics on it, especially "Walk" which you'll hear at any modern metal show.

Elastica by Elastica
Jul 13 2026

1. Well, the opening song sucks. It sounds like if another band did a bad knockoff of "Connection". 2. Ok this album has got to get better. 3. alright here we go I already like this song so this is a pass 4. hmmm this kind of sucks 5. oh wait were those two different songs 6. car commercial 7. kind of like this one 8. it's okay 9-13. generic forgettable 90s alt rock 14. I like this one too 15-16. also kind of generic The singer sure sounded bored on most of these songs.

The Cars by The Cars
Jul 14 2026

Great album. I had only heard 2 songs from this album before and have never really been a The Cars fan but I was pleasantly surprised with this one.

Bongo Rock by Incredible Bongo Band
Jul 15 2026

fantastic album if your favorite genre is "elevator music". which mine is not.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Jul 18 2026

oh man I forgot about the annoying "woo woo" in the first song. I never really loved the rolling stones but always thought they had some okay songs. now I realize I just kind of tolerated them. Mick Jagger is not a good singer at all but the instrumentals are good. this band would have been so much better with a good singer. how did they get so big, were there only like 3 bands to choose from back then or something? oh my god this dude's voice is terrible

Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson
Jul 19 2026

welp, I guess I listened to that. what a weird album.

Shaka Zulu by Ladysmith Black Mambazo
Jul 20 2026

Interesting album. Good voices, just not my thing.

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Jul 21 2026

Have never really been into Sinatra but damn, you can't deny the power of his voice. Unfortunately the songs all sound the same.

McCartney by Paul McCartney
Jul 22 2026

the best beatles recordings are covers of their songs and this album proves to be no different. If you enjoy listening to dentist office music you'll probably like this one.

Songs Of Love And Hate by Leonard Cohen
Jul 23 2026

Give me the most depressing album you've got. No, that's too depressing.

The Nightfly by Donald Fagen
Jul 24 2026

Slightly better than elevator music.

Abraxas by Santana
Jul 25 2026

Despite having "Oye Como Va" on it, this was a decent listen.

Triangle by The Beau Brummels
Jul 26 2026

Fairly generic album that fits the style at the time. Some of the instrumentals were interesting.

Ramones by Ramones
Jul 27 2026

Never been a huge fan but this is a decent album. You can definitely hear the inspirations for modern punk.

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Jul 28 2026

Not my thing but worth listening to once. Decent classic album.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Jul 29 2026

Pretty good mellow album. The opening song is fantastic.

Jul 30 2026

Decent album. You can easily hear the 70s experimental rock influences in this one. They might be trying a little too hard to be The Who.

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Jul 31 2026

Sounds like a jam band that can't decide when to stop. Every song overstays its welcome with overdone effects and droning lyrics.

Aug 01 2026

Better than the live album I was forced to listen to last time. Still not a fan but at least it didn't make my ears bleed (but it was close).

Halcyon Digest by Deerhunter
Aug 02 2026

Not my thing. Listenable, but boring.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Aug 04 2026

I've heard of the band but never really listened to them. Decent classic rock album. A little too "jam band" for me though.

Elephant Mountain by The Youngbloods
Aug 05 2026

The instrumentals are good, but unfortunately the singing is not.

Arise by Sepultura
Aug 07 2026

Decent speed/thrash metal album. The instrumental tracks are the best ones.

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Aug 08 2026

Once again proving that covers of Beatles songs are better than the originals.

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Aug 09 2026

Classic synth pop album. Mood is much darker than their older stuff.
