Amazing classic hip-hop album of 90s
Sound of 80s. Good solid songs with multiple complex backtracks. I have enjoyed this one.
Didn’t like it actually
Sounds obsolete, nothing attractive for me
Haha…..classic
Too many songs!
Good old psychodelic rock))
Very boring songs. I don't like Country, actually.
2 good songs and rest of them are not even close to hits. Sound like 2 different bands.
Despite there are some great guitar riffs and beautiful rhythms, I certainly hate drum lines of this kind. It reminds me the worst impression of Slayer. It’s not beauty of music, it’s just rough sound for rough sound.
One songs was added to my list, anyway.
Consistent quality
Not really my choice
Lovely classic rock album!
Sister Luck production was copied for Knocking on the Heavens Door song by GnR
Noisy, grungy - good texture
Shitty vocals, weak guitar lines
Good drums though
Amazing album. It was pleasure to listen to it.
One track added to my collection.
However, sounds outdated and it is not my genre.
Definitely one of the TOP-50 albums of all time.
Easy “chill” sound…
Simple music…
Lyrics inspired by MJ and LSD….
I could listen to it sometimes but I didn’t feel anything special
Just usual british pop/punk rock, even with some post punk vibes in it
Adorable voice of Janis Joplin such a pleasure to listen to.
Band is not that great sounding unfortunately. This is the only reason why I don’t rate this masterpiece 5/5.
RIP LEGEND!
2 beautiful hits
2 songs I have second chance (6&8)
Rest set list maintains decent standard, but nothing interesting for me.
The entire album sounds like one old good love song. Legendary voice of Frank Sinatra cannot be mistaken.
Unfortunately, this kind of music is outdated for me and I can’t really enjoy it.
Only 1 good song which is very famous.
Rest of album is boring
Sound is ok. Samples are ok. Vocals are fine. Reminds me Dummy by Portishead, which is far better than this.
Great production.
I can’t recall any HIT song, but you can easily pick any song and enjoy listening to its instrumentals. Vocals are not that extraordinary. Just marching with band vibes. Added to my collection .
Sounds like Michael Jackson to me. Added few songs which deserved 2nd chance.
Album is easy to listen to. Good melodies and 60s vocals (Beatles like)
I would say it reminds me of The Beatles a lot.
I am going to listen to it again.
Good classic album which I have already listened.
Well, this is very bad as it is written in most of the reviews. I listen to this album while running and running went well. I don’t think I will ever come back to listening to this album because electronic music is not really my type.
This album was definitely something new for its time (1966)
Starting with first song it sets high standard and determines the mood of future material. However, rest of the songs were less attractive for me. I left 4 songs for “second chance”
Album has a lot of orchestra additions which make it sound rich.
Such an amazing record !
I had no idea that glam rock existed in early 70s! Sounds fresh, full of musical ideas, great vocal melodies, chords progressions, production etc
Way ahead of its time and so underrated in my opinion. Mark Bolan RIP.
It was pleasure to travel through Billy Corgan’s Universe.
I don’t think it was necessary to include that many songs into album. However, those “low grade” songs create special vibe within the album. They perfectly fill silence between good songs. By the way, there are many good songs. I’d say 1h15m of good stuff out of 2+hrs.
Sounds great even for my untrained ear. I can’t tell trombone from sax or anything else.
Bass lines were great!
Good record! I would even give it 3.5 out of 5.
Great classic rock sound!
Sounds good and aggressive. Good for gym and running. It looks like lyrics are shit, but I don’t care. Nothing extraordinary to attract my attention, so 3 out of 5.
I would give this album even 4.5/5
Great record! Enjoyed from the first note.
Such a contradicting impressions about this record…
On one hand is boring vocals from the artist. On the other hand great songwriting and strong back vocals. I added Jazz Police song to my collection because is sounds very unusual and have cool female vocal lines.
I would even give 4.5/5 to this masterpiece. For the record: I don’t like Yorke’s vocals at all. This fact does not let this album to get 5 stars.
Guitars, drums, electronic effects are top notch. Plenty hit songs with so unusual chord progressions!
Great artwork.
Well it’s so obvious 5/5
Great “no skip” album
Great songwriting and production
MJ is GOAT
It was good experience of listening such a soft country-ish album. I did not feel anything special about it and it was not bad.
I’ve already heard this record few times and I’m still amazed! Amy Whinehouse’s vocals are from parallel universe. Old style lines mixed with modern beats create unique artwork which remains in my collection. RIP Amy🙏🏻
Sounds like an attempt of classic music artist to create art-rock album.
I like instrumental sound, I don’t like vocals. Way too long notes all over the place. Gives annoying feeling throughout the entire album.
I enjoyed listening to the second song “The one you love”
It felt like a torture starting from track No.6….endless terrible vocals, which sounded no any different song to song.
Sorry, it is 2/5. I give 1 extra point for unusual musical accompaniments.
I’m sure there is something outstanding about this band but I don’t know what! Couple of songs were nice (last tracks). Let’s listen to it again, IDK….
I absolutely enjoyed listening to this album! It is no skip record. Bob Marley is absolute legend!
Despite my love for the recognisable sound of this band, I have impression that this record is quite bland. I gave 2nd chance to 3 songs (2,5&6)
Legendary album from the legendary band CCR. Always loved their sound and songs. I already had this one in my collection and it was such a pleasure to listen to it again. 5 out of 5 with no doubts!
Such a joy to listen to this soft music filled with Latin motives.
The entire album does non-stop. Added all tracks to my collection and have already listened to it twice !
Before this I’ve heard only Losing My Religion. How come I’ve never heard anything else ? Band is so talented!
Album sets up mood with first song Pop Song 89 - directly to my favourites.
Rest of album stays at same level.
I felt like everything will be good while listening to this record. Thank you R.E.M.
It is 4,5/5
Sound of 60s - same like many
Good production quality- unlike many
Terrible songwriting - worse than the average
Terrible performance- same like most of 60s
I did not enjoy listening to this record and no tracks were added to my collection
I sorry mr. Charles, but this is one of the most boring records I’ve ever listened. Your good singing is the only reason for 2 stars.
Adorable voice, country/blues vibes.
I enjoyed listening to 90% of the songs.
I did not add any of 8 songs to my collection. All 8 songs sounded to me exactly the same. There is certainly some musical conceptuality in this matter.
Despite its great production quality songs sound blunt because of vocals.
Not my type of music. Harmonically it’s too joyful for no reason.
Sounds like The Black Keys but very boring this time. I was patiently waiting for the end of this album so I can delete it and start something else.
But don’t misunderstand, it is really decent record but only sounds faceless.
There is interesting songwriting, I admit that. However, I can’t listen to Bowie’s vocals. It’s terrible.
My ears were tortured for 1 hour by Indian electronic music.
Some songs performed by the lady with good voice. Some songs are not too bad. Overall it is not music for me.
I really like Lynyrd Skynyrd since long time ago.
The entire album was pleasure to listen to.
Few good songs, vibes of 60s. I felt bored 80% of a time.
This is good sophisticated music and quality of the record is great. I can feel how much effort was put in it.
However, it slow and boring in my opinion. There are not enough “hooks” to make me want to listen to it again. Jeff Buckley obviously was very talented musician, but this is just not my type of music
It was hard to stay 1:30 hrs listening to this boring record. 1st part had no drums and I was literally suffering:
Second part was little better, I would probably rate it 2/5.
Good beats, typical lyrics about gangsta’s life. Not bad, but I don’t think I’m going to return to it …
This album sounds like an early attempt to hip-hop music. It has interesting beats, groovy bass lines - I like that. I don’t like those drum machine beats which sound childish to me. However, many song were in soul genre and it was pleasure to listen to. Not to mention iconic Message song instrumental.
If it was possible to rate it 0 stars out of 5 I would definitely do it.
It more art than music. Absolutely blunt, sometimes even cringy, record was torturing my ears more than it’s allowed to. This woman is very brave to be exposed to the public with this sort of music.
I don’t really know what to say…
Sounds like typical 60-s band. Good songs… Unfortunately, I never listen to lyrics and I don’t recognize most of it.
Guitars are good, but the amount is not enough.
Vocal are hardly bearable and the amount is way too much
I could feel a lot of Tom Yorke’s vibes who I am not really fan of.
I prefer more straight forward music which can drive my mood somewhere
This music’s only purpose is to sound complex
Complexity for no reason!
I thought I like Rush…
Tom Sawyer is great song, no doubt.
However, the rest of the album is too sophisticated music with weird vocals. I like Counterparts album much more for its listener friendly sound.
Well, that’s decent dance music. I enjoyed running with those beats in my ears. However, I don’t take this kind of music seriously and can’t imagine listening to it in any other occasion rather than gym.
This great album can only be rated 5 stars!
Genre determining
Full of cool guitar riffs
Full of cool bass lines
Amazing drumming
Ozzy’s unique vocals
One of the best metal albums of all time!
It is decent soul album, which was easy to listen to. Smooth sound, soul touching lyrics (I guess so)
However, I am not a big fan of this genre yet.
It is good pop acoustic album. I enjoyed listening to it.
Music was OK
Vocals were SO SO
