UB40I’m usually open to bands that had and influence on the ska/dub scene, but asside from the beats , I found the album itself forgettable 2

Love this album! Not my favourite Radiohead album, but love it more than I used to. Used to be thrown off by it’s experimental style which felt a little off balanced in the album back in the day, but I feel like it evolved the band towards some sweet future albums. Overall 4.5 strong album but not my favourite Radiohead album
Some of these song I absolutely loved and will be listening to again. Some of the songs I couldn’t get into. Overall strong album, but not all my style 3.5
Wow , no wonder they call him the King of Soul… solid live performance of a legend.
Strong album! 4.5
Classic!
Love this rock opera !
2,5 since it reminds me of my moms Music
Meh , wasn’t feeling it in a Sunday First listen
Remembered not loving the pivot from their typical sound when this first came out , but find this to be a solid folk inspired album with strong tunes ! 4.5
lots of cool songs I heard before, but 1st time hearing album. 4
Reminded me a lot of 90 grunge like blind melon. 1st listen , but used to have the Mrs Robinson cover on a comp album growing up. 3.5

A gem of an album
Loved it back in the day and still Love it now! 4.5
Not my cup a tea, but I respect the influence they've had on lots of bands 1st 2.5
1st listen Wasn’t expecting much but that’s a stellar ambient album
1s listen Liked it more than what I heard of them on the radio 3.5
1st I'm sure this is considered quality jazz, but jazz is not my cup of tea 2
Classic 4,5
Great album! 3.5
Feels like a classic Xmas collection 1st listen 3,5
Lots of early punk/ indie vibes 3 1st listen
Not my style, but a lot of songs got my head bobbing. It was a little too lengthy, but i get that it comes with the genre
I feel i should like this, cause I like Others of this style, but I don’t 2
1st Lots of early punk rock influences
true classic
Love this album! I always felt the album had a Bowie style until I realized Bowie produced this gem.
1st listen I did not expect to be into this album but I dug the ambient vibe. The saxophone, guitar and vocals meshed in and out smoothly 3.5
Brings back all the 15 year old teenage angst ! 4.5
Thought it was punk at first, then alternative , then grunge and liked it all. Late 80s Seattle scene was the place to be. 1st listen 3.5
Powerful and classic Can’t believe this came out in the 60s and was their first album. Jim Morrison vocals are chilling and captivating Love this album 4.5
Great voice and all, but I never could get into her adult contemporary style of music. A lot of it reminds of waiting in a dr’s office 2.5
I only know of Steely Dan from John Mulaney stand up specials. I'm glad to have finally listened to it, really good stuff! need to listen more. Gave me some CKNY vibes 1st listen 3.5
It's not my usual style, but I enjoyed a few of the folky country songs. She has an amazing voice and some of the songs were quite powerful. Some songs reminded me of Joni Mitchell. The second half of the album was solid, especially coat of many colours, queen of the Silver Dollar and a beautiful cover of For No One 1st listen 3.5
Good start , first song must have been sampled by will smith back in the day ( getting jigggy with it) But I didn’t get into the rest of it 3 of the songs I really liked though 2.5
Good stuff Still new to steely Dan, feels like I need to listen more to get more into it 1st 3,5
Im not sure what I just listened too It felt like a frog on an acid trip for some songs, and then they throw out a song like “im glad” in the middle of the mix, to make you ask yourself if you’re actually the frog on the acid trip… anyways, I liked whatever it was. 3.5
This brings back all the memories and all the feels. The first time I heard this album, I was afraid of it. A few years later i rediscovered it at the right time and it quickly became a used up CD in the car
I wasn’t digging this album at first and thought it was going to be a struggle To get through, but it slowly won me over. I relistenned a second time and dug it more. The start was slow, but got much better at the end. I still prefer his work with the Smiths
listening to this reminds me that the early '90s had a genre of its own. Alternative rock at that time seems to follow a familiar sound. I enjoyed some of the songs, where others didn't click as much for me 1st listen 2.5
I remember seeing them play live on TV for the first time and thought, this band will bring back 80s rock and roll and will be legendary. Then I downloaded their album and felt it was very cliché and more of a one-hit wonder. Although there are some cool riffs and impressive vocals, it doesn't seem well utilized and very over the top.
What an incredible album and intro of Brian Johnson to the group. Big shoes for him to fill and he knocked it out of the park!
I see this as one of the most important albums for what it influenced in the punk rock world. This set a blue print for Bands that had a huge impact in the 90s from rancid, to anti flag nofx bad religion, catch 22 and the list goes on. I love the early so-cal punk sound and the dub and ska influences. This is a staple of what 90s punk rock music stemmed from 4.5
I really liked this Gave me lots of vibes from bands like tame impala, arcade fire, band of horses and really enjoyed listening to it 3.5-4
Another solid classic punk album that had a big influence. I found many of the sounds reassembled themselves, which sometimes felt redundant, but I still appreciate their music and the mark they left on the next generations. 3
Another solid and pinnacle metal album Huge hits and huge licks. Dave Mustaine’s post Metallica project east triumph and this album is one of his best 4.5
I’ve never heard of this guy before and I wish I had! What a raw and potent songwriter His mix of blues and folk feels simplistic and deep. Glad i got to find this one 4
This album holds up incredibly strong from start to end and demonstrates when Jay-Z rose to the top. I love the soulful throwback beats and the quick-witted and often emotional lyrics. I think this album set Jay-Z apart as one of the greats. 4.5
I have mad respect for the artist, she has a powerful voice and so much talent. I didn’t enjoy this album as much as the last one on this but her talent is undeniable 3
This was a divisive album Some songs were strong and reminded me of the smiths/ sex pistols and showed the potential of what would eventually become the gorrillaz. But other songs felt like a carnival ride and made me feel nauseous. I don’t think I’ll be listening to it again. 2
Listening to the band after all the allegations around the lead singer hits differently. But objectively this is an incredible album and I think one of their best Strong albums from 1st to last and stood out so much in its day when first released 4
A very relaxing listen while making food Very much enjoyed 3.5
It's difficult to find flaws in this album. It's an iconic album from a legendary songwriter. As strong as is this album, it only figures in my top 5 Bob Dylan albums. amazing album 4.5
A cool creative project! I had no idea this was Kool Keith. Very out there. I prefer his other projects, but this was some quality 80s hip hop 3
Great indie rock album Would definitely listen again 3.5
I’ve always enjoyed the beastie boys for their evolution from a punk rock band to leading into sampling music , to then pick back up their instruments. This album felt like a jam session mixed with all of their influences at the time. This album goes from hip hop to punk, to jazz and funk and then instrumental so quickly that it can be a lot. A lot of these beats reminded me of the band sublime But there are some classic songs in this that stood the test of time. I love the song with Q-tip. The album is a lot of things, which can make hard to listen in one sitting. 3.5
Great album Very cold 80s sound I find the album sets a chill ambiance 3.5
Not my cup of tea 1.5
I appreciate Bruce Springsteen for his writing, but I just can’t seem to really get into him Good album though
I’m usually open to bands that had and influence on the ska/dub scene, but asside from the beats , I found the album itself forgettable 2
Very catchy music that surely had immense influence on a lot of 60s musical acts. 3
Beautiful album! Incredible voice 3.5
Awesome album ! 4
Not my usual listen, but a good pace to run with and help but in the zone.
This album blew me away loved the mix of soul, jazz and great lyrics
Great album that was followed by so many other gems! 4
I liked it a lot Qu’usité a few gems that aren’t American pie 3.5
Wow this was hard, and really good for a metal album. Some of the last songs were a little too , but overall I found it to be a solid metal album
Incredible voice, one of the best of our generation The songs are centred around heartbreak, but they feel very real and genuine. beautiful album 4
Not a big fan of jazz, but I was really into the piano style in this album
Couldnt find the full album, What I heard sounded folk indie which was an interesting mix 2.5
This brought me back to my youth. I remember watching this concert on TV and being blown away by the incredible mix of these two musical genres. A great listen back down memory lane. incredible live performance 4.5
There was alot of beat which was fun for a run, but not as enjoyable for other settings. I liked the son where they just named a ton of musical artists the whole time. 2.5
I couldn’t get into this It felt like a soundtrack for an experimental art flick 1.5
Im usually harder on live records because so many miss the mark, where others give proof of their incredible talent. This one is the latter. this album captures magic and the essence of cobains style. It reminds me of when Rick Reuben let Johnny cash express himself through his take on classic covers that are significant to him. Only other live albums that rival this one for me is Neil young unplugged and Eric Clapton
Classic Motown Amazing sound and legendary groove 4.5
I was expecting some punk music and was surprised by something feeling like a baby between Jim Morrison and David Bowie. I was taken off guard and delighted by what it was. I feel like the Stooges were more punk, but this did not have that feel. Super Good though! 3.5
Not many bands can have the effect ccr had in such a short time Timeless band
The first track had me all in and then there was a long lull untill that same style came back Some really good tracks, but the overall album missed the mark for me 1st listen
I found it captivating for its simplicity It really drew me in Didn’t know what to expect but enjoyed it very much !
This didn’t stand out for me Too much 2.5
A classic among classics.
Not my style, but some songs were good 2.5
I enjoyed the musical arrangements for the concept album. I feel like this album has to be listened to in the right setting to be fully enjoyed. However, I was extremely weirded out and taken out of it when I realized that the entire story in the album is about an older man falling in for a 14-year-old girl... 1.5
By far my favourite stones album The raw sound gives an intimate feel And shows the dynamic and depth of their talent and range of musical style from blues to folk to rock I enjoy this album more and more every time I revisit it
another classic! Strong album, not my favourite ACDC but it holds up!
not much of a fan 1.5
This blew me away, I cant believe I hadnt listened to this before. So glad to discover this one 4.5
Didn’t hate it , but wasn’t taken by it either 2.5
Solid album! Not my favourite of his but definitely in my tops!
2.5
Very chill ambiance, I liked it a lot 3.5
Amazing album, probably his best Great beats and witty lyrics at times 4.5
It was fine, but nothing that stood out. 2.5
One of the greats doing what he does best. I love how this album is mostly stripped down to, him a guitar and harmonica. The lyrics are powerful and poetic 4.5
some good songs that cut deep, others didn't hit the mark for me
I had the chance to discover this band love and was blown away A lot I liked on this album as it brought me back to that concert experience, but some. I didn’t like as much 3.5
Love the punk feel to it Quick and dirty 3.5
didnt know all the songs and really enjoyed this
About time that Neil makes his place in this list A solid album that entwines his legendary acoustic performances with his electric and iconic sound with crazy horse
I can’t deny this artists talent Not his best album, but an arguably strong album Most songs hit the mark and exceed expectations
I don’t find it bad, but not my type I find it a little generic. I’m sure when it can out it was more unique 2,5
Hands down queen of soul
Not really my style
I liked a lot of the songs , not all the beats, but over all strong album
Felt like I was in a cafe on a rainy day in 2008 listening to this.
Loved this album when i first discovered it Felt it had a great mix of rock licks and a punk style on a slower tempo I don’t find that it aged as well, but still nostalgic to hear 3,5
