Popular Reviews

The Pleasure Principle by Gary Numan

Pretty good start to the synth pop 80’s. Some really good unique songs. However a few songs I thought it was a different version of cars. I’m sure maybe he was playing with themes, but when listening to an album and you have to see the name of the song because you think it’s one you already heard, that’s a problem.

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park

Boring. Sounds like an advertising executive’s wet dream.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Dec 28 2023

There are some genuine hits. The rest is kind of dull slow dance music. This album is a pretty solid of the 90’s vibe.

Pornography by The Cure
Jan 02 2024

Just an excellent album. Only surpassed by Disintegration.

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Jan 05 2024

This is my first time hearing Spacemen 3 and I m pleasantly surprised. The album is generally much slower and chill than I usually seek out. I will definitely be checking out the rest of their albums.

Traffic by Traffic
Jan 08 2024

This is exactly the problem I have with late 60's early 70's music. This is the kind of music that makes me understand why when punk broke it was a revelation. This was the hardest for me to get through. So boring.

The Specials by The Specials
Jan 09 2024

One of my all time favorites. The variety and the infusion of punk with ska will forever be copied for years to come after this album. Others have done this to great effect but nothing tops the originals.

Elvis Is Back by Elvis Presley
Jan 10 2024

Very fun and upbeat album. Never listened to it before. May have heard a few on like a greatest hits or oldies station.

Fragile by Yes
Jan 11 2024

Really musically fun and experimental. I can't find myself listening to this with the majority of songs being ten minutes or more. But overall it wasn't annoying. Just not my favorite or go to.

Dear Science by TV On The Radio
Jan 12 2024

Very decent mostly mellow album. This album did make me think it was designed specifically for being on movie soundtracks though.

The Gilded Palace Of Sin by The Flying Burrito Brothers
Jan 15 2024

Not a fan of country. Even if they try to rockify it. This was hard to finish. But I did. I’m sure someone enjoys this music.

Next by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band
Jan 18 2024

Nothing on this album got me moving. I guess it's because this sounded like Billy Squire. I'm not a fan of most glam, and this solidifies it.

Being There by Wilco
Jan 19 2024

It's very country sounding. Not a fan.

Jan 30 2024

This is more like it. Some catchy riffs, some awesome vocals. This is good stuff. Never heard it before and glad to have discovered this now.

16 Lovers Lane by The Go-Betweens
Feb 06 2024

This is just a nice album. Not my particular taste but its really pleasant.

So by Peter Gabriel
Jan 29 2025

Pretty iconic album. Not my favorite. But I also don’t hate it.

Teenage Head by Flamin' Groovies
Feb 07 2025

Pretty good rock and roll.

Guero by Beck
Feb 11 2025

Honestly, not a bad album. I never seemed it out before. But it is a good pop album.

Searching For The Young Soul Rebels by Dexys Midnight Runners
Feb 13 2025

Surprisingly I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. Really really catchy tunes. I'm surprised they never made it huge beside their one hit.

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Feb 14 2025

I never gave this a chance before. I am a big fan of the lo-fi sound. There are a lot of hits on this one. I will be listening to it way more.

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Feb 18 2025

Boring. Sounds like an advertising executive’s wet dream.

Kollaps by Einstürzende Neubauten
Feb 24 2025
Celebrity Skin by Hole
Feb 26 2025

It's a pretty good pop grunge album.

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Feb 27 2025

Not a fan of this music. It really just bores me.

Midnight Ride by Paul Revere & The Raiders
Mar 05 2025

Loved it. Loved the covers. Huge fan of "Kicks". This makes me happy on so many levels.

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield
Mar 11 2025

This was good, but not something I'd seek out.

Teenager Of The Year by Frank Black
Mar 13 2025

Never listened for some reason to his solo stuff. This was excellent.

Too Rye Ay by Dexys Midnight Runners
Mar 14 2025
Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Mar 20 2025
Parallel Lines by Blondie
Mar 24 2025

I love Blondie. It's New Wave. It's fun. I enjoy this so much. It's a time and place and feels like it in a good way. I like that they were trying different things.

B-52's by The B-52's
Mar 27 2025
Fuzzy by Grant Lee Buffalo
Apr 02 2025

I surprisingly enjoyed this. I'm pretty sure it was his voice that reeled me in.

Apr 03 2025

I mean. It's R.E.M. at their best. I do love the college rock music better. But this is art.

The Cars by The Cars
Apr 09 2025

This is some good stuff. Its pop. Its fun. And I mean, these are catchy tunes.

Smile by Brian Wilson
Apr 10 2025

This is by no means a bad album. But it's too bubble gummy for my taste to listen to it for too long. But again, this is not a bad album.

Bone Machine by Tom Waits
Apr 16 2025

Some real hits on here.

The Clash by The Clash
Apr 17 2025

The only band that matters.

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine
Apr 23 2025

It's really not bad. Honestly. It may be some of the best popular political punk rap I've heard. I'm just not a fan of the sound.

Green by R.E.M.
Apr 24 2025
Blue by Joni Mitchell
Apr 28 2025

Extremely talented. Just not my taste.

May 29 2025

She was talented. This isn't my particular type of music so it's getting a low rating for that. And only that.

Not a fan of Green Day. But they accomplished something special.
