1001 Albums Summary

I only think I’ve heard a couple of their songs before, and definitely not off of this album. I was pleasantly surprised! It all slaps real hard. Very nostalgia and emotion inducing (for high school era love). Good vibes, kind of a gentle, mellow pixies vibe. Didn’t hate, kinda enjoyed!

!!! Me grandads fave. And I can see why, it’s a masterpiece. Honestly my fave beatle too. Songs make me feel transcendent and like I want to find religion lol. Only made it thru the first 10 songs tho then I was like nah.

Had never heard of this band going in but it’s very instrumental and chill and British, kind of early vampire weekend feeling only slightly harder and less dreamy

Well it just deleted all the words I had typed. Something about how it was too slow and I like my R&B to be groovier. And how I can’t listen to her for very long because I don’t like the Beyoncé superstar complex. But still good for her for hitting Jay-Z in that elevator. And I do appreciate the celebration of Black culture.

I can’t believe I haven’t listened to this album because I’ve listened to their second one. Some bangers (live forever) but also some skips! Feels kinda punky but in a gentle British alt psychedelic way
