A Walk Across The Rooftops by The Blue Nile

I have a strange obsession with all of this. maybe I’m just a fiend for ambient sounds

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Sep 19 2024

listening while sad, good sad listen, some uplift in it all too

Sep 20 2024

verrrry what I think of 90s sounds; obvi knew some of the songs, but definitely found a couple others to add to some party playlists, happy listen

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Sep 22 2024

goofy, silly time; not something I would listen to typically but a fun time,, reminds me of that one episode of Tom and Jerry where they fight for being a conductor of a symphony or something. I feel like seeing this live in the 50s was a blast (for men)

xx by The xx
Sep 23 2024

I love the song islands. There are definitely other great songs, with nice guitar and rhythm but there are also songs where I kind don’t vibe with the forced angstiness of the voices and slightly basic lyrics

Be by Common
Sep 24 2024

Great album! wish I’d known about it sooner. of course kanye as a producer is huge. Favorite songs were GO! and testify. And the sample of kids saying what they wanna be in the song it’s your world was special, loved it

C'est Chic by CHIC
Sep 25 2024

Funky!!!!!! Many great tracks, great for sampling (future thought). Favorite tracks - Chic Cheer and Savoir Faire

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Sep 26 2024

am I supposed to like The Beach Boys… is it bad that I don’t. Many songs just kinda have cheesy show-tuney singing. Makes me think of tautiniai aidai not in a good way

Sep 27 2024

Not something i absolutely love, but something I like and I could see myself liking more with more listens. It’s very cool that it’s a vocals focused album.. will have to relisten to lyrics

Blur by Blur
Sep 28 2024

it’s rock and I like it. Is it my favorite? no. But plenty of bangers. Deserves more attention from me

Sep 29 2024

An actual freaking masterpiece. Can’t believe I’ve never listened to this album…. Insane how much variety and at the same time connection there is between the tracks. I know I will have more and more thoughts as I listen

Closer by Joy Division
Sep 30 2024
Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Oct 01 2024

just not for me. I’m not even halfway through but it’s long, kind of boring. Some songs are slow and some have too much going on

The Rolling Stones by The Rolling Stones
Oct 02 2024

I recognize that this is a quality album. I could see myself sometimes wanting to listen to 60s rock, but most of the time I don’t want to listen to 60s rock. So for that reason I give it 3.

British Steel by Judas Priest
Oct 03 2024

Never thought I’d really appreciate metal but this is not bad

Rio by Duran Duran
Oct 05 2024

The music of Goodwill, sometimes good but sometimes I don’t have the will to absorb all the sounds that come with one song. But I can appreciate that some of these songs are absolute bangerz

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Oct 06 2024

YEs to this. reminds me of so many other artists that I love, Bowie and Beatles. some songs do kind of blend together ever so slightly. Need to relisten though, was distracted

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Oct 07 2024

Love this album. Dark and ambient. Some of the vocals are slightly annoying (but also nostalgic-feeling) so the purely instrumental parts are some of my favorite bits

Synchronicity by The Police
Oct 08 2024

I don't love it and i don't hate it, its there. And maybe some day I'll pick it back up and like it a lot more and judge present self. Obviously every breathe you take is a masterpiece, but its overplayed.

Fifth Dimension by The Byrds
Nov 14 2024

there were good songs, I really liked Mr Spaceman and I see why it was influential. Reminds me of beach boys but with a tad more edge which is nice. But some songs were also tiring

Brothers by The Black Keys
Nov 15 2024

this black keys album unlocked a deep nostalgia that comes with some sadness and longing for the past. HOWEVER, it's really good. love the vocals and variations in distortion in both the vocals and guitar

Nov 16 2024

obviously several of these songs have been favorites since middle school but i had never listened to the whole album through. Some of the vocals are just a tad annoying in that 90s rock/punk rock way but after a second listen im more into it

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Nov 18 2024

Nahh Im good, like just so fine not listening to this ever again besides maybe in the context of wanting to fall asleep

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Nov 19 2024

I'm not an American girl so while American girl might have been a bop in high school for me, i'm no longer as into it. And these other tracks are just not hitting either. And also, men and their weird vocals back then, im all set. Giving this a 3 because i could see myself coming back around to it someday

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Nov 20 2024

I LOVE this. Definitely makes me think of drives to the desert. There's complexity and diversity in instruments and sounds but still cohesive throughout the album. Beautiful vocals and deserty, vibey guitar.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Dec 12 2024

objectively fun, objectively deserves praise. just plain old rock is not my favorite but this is enjoyable and I can feel how much more enjoyable it would be if it could be heard live.

Back At The Chicken Shack by Jimmy Smith
Dec 14 2024

hell yeah. short album but such great pieces!! throwing me on a jazz stint through spotify radio

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Dec 15 2024

in the most unexpected turn of events I really liked this album when I totally thought I'd have to skip. heavy rock from the 70s is good apparently and I am a fan. Songs were saved.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Mar 07 2025

Great album, no doubt. Some songs have just been a little overplayed and feel a bit dad indie rock but i can deal. my favorites are Suburban War and Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)

Graceland by Paul Simon
Mar 08 2025

amazing. Start to finish. So upbeat and smooth and lovely.

Trio by Dolly Parton
Mar 09 2025

Enjoyed!!! I love country when it’s girlies! Star song for me was Making Plans

Mar 10 2025

Good rock album, enjoy some songs, but some songs do blend together a bit

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Mar 11 2025

AC/DC - stuff of the legends for sure, not a daily listen, but no taste acquire needed unlike I presupposed

Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
May 04 2025

a beautiful album, well matched with reading the Desert Oracle. and the next step would be to find a translation for the lyrics, as I’m sure it would tie it all together all the more

Deloused in the Comatorium by The Mars Volta
May 05 2025

There are bits that are worthwhile but I can’t deal with the up and down tempo and up and down loudness. It feels all over the place for me

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
May 06 2025

Beautiful! intimate and with much depth. Things to learn from every different listen from every different point in life

May 07 2025

unimpressive album to me, no songs really stood out, and i absolutely hated the song that started with snoring

NEU! 75 by Neu!
May 08 2025

A solid ambient rock album. It's mesmerizing, draws you in. Would listen again for sure.

May 09 2025

Obviously has the absolute hit tainted love, but Im not super into the rest, not the biggest fan of the musical outcomes of the 80s

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Aug 14 2025

Beautiful, clean, funky and with story telling lyrics

Veckatimest by Grizzly Bear
Aug 15 2025

Masterpiece. I have a soft spot for early 2000s Indie, but i CANT believe I’ve never listened to this full album. Two weeks was always a favorite. But the whole album is engrossing, can’t stop listening type. Every song is full, the vocals and lyricisim emotional, and unique, while also all coming together perfectly.

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Aug 16 2025

Beautiful album. Soft but also sad and depressing at times. A perfect melancholy listen. My favorites are Time Has Told Me and Saturday Sun, perfectly sandwiching the album.

Ramones by Ramones
Aug 17 2025

First instinct - noisy, quick, and unclean. But on second listen, it’s better! Songs more distinct. I appreciate it and blitzkrieg bop is in fact a bop. Buuut not particularly impressed.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Aug 18 2025

Blues is new for me! So while the songs blended a bit for me. I was head dancing - it was great.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Aug 19 2025

drawn too far out! could’ve been good but I can’t listen to that many guitar solos. Maybe it’s my decrepit attention span, worn down by apps of infinite scroll, but this is tiring.

american dream by LCD Soundsystem
Aug 20 2025

Great dancey album! Gave it two listens and enjoyed both all the same

Sail Away by Randy Newman
Aug 21 2025

I love his voice. His music is like more-refined and softer Tom Waits. Movie magic in it all of course. AND the social commentary on American egotism is great.

A Little Deeper by Ms. Dynamite
Aug 22 2025

An album with openness and depth. I love Put Him Out, such a great representation of female friendship that looks out for friends in terrible relationships. And Brother is also such a sweet ode to her sibling. Great album.

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Aug 23 2025

intimate, beautiful set of live songs. I loved the candidness of the album, with songs that Vaughan could not remember the lyrics to kept in. and what a beautiful voice!!!!

Stephen Stills by Stephen Stills
Aug 24 2025

good, solid album. missing some edge for me, got a little bit bored by the end

Another Green World by Brian Eno
Aug 25 2025

Unique and distinct each song! But comes together beautifully. Clear and abundant talent. In love with this album

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Aug 28 2025

obsessed in the best way possible. brings up so many feeelings always and reminds of my first apt in echo park. such a soothing voice he had

Imagine by John Lennon
Aug 29 2025

amazing as imagined, as figured. my only hesitancy for a 5 is that some tracks flow in and out more abruptly than expected. But who am I to judge that really. Imagine almost makes me cry each time

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Aug 31 2025

There are of course a couple massive bops here, but overall I find her voice and the lyrics a bit annoying, sssorryy

Sep 01 2025

Really enjoyed this album. Cee Lo Green has a great voice, brings together a diverse cast of features, and keeps the tracks interesting. Love the intro with his son too and love that I had queued an LCD Soundsystem song so at first it went into that

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Sep 02 2025

just the idea of this live concert happening at a prison, with songs about prison - incredible. Good early folk, male centric though of course

The Who Sell Out by The Who
Sep 03 2025

It’s a great album, with some really fun songs both lyrically and instrumentally. But ultimately i thought it dragged on a bit and then fell apart a bit

Connected by Stereo MC's
Sep 04 2025

it started off so promising and there were rhythms and sounds sprinkled throughout that i enjoyed but it got so so so so repetitive and boring in the end

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Sep 05 2025

that’s enough of that.

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Oct 01 2025

beautiful. Somehow both relaxing and can be stressful if you’re stressed

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Oct 19 2025

yessss absolutely yesss, jazzy, entrancing.

Very by Pet Shop Boys
Oct 20 2025

Okay this is an interesting one. Felt like a guilty pleasure. But the music was fun and dancey and reminded me of Lithuanian pop a little. But it dips into the scary territory of sounding like doctor office hold music and the lyrics say little to nothing sometimes. That’s all that I want sometimes though. Pairs well with CAD drafting

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Oct 21 2025

itsa boys album, but there are some bangers here and there. god my reviews are getting so bad. i can't not think of playing guitar hero when No Sleep Til Brooklyn plays. I cant tell if that ruins it or makes it better actually

1999 by Prince
Oct 22 2025

I mean of course this is a hell yeah. I can’t believe I’m just now experiencing the power and diversity of genius of Prince

McCartney by Paul McCartney
Oct 24 2025

short & sweet really

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Oct 25 2025

just does not capture my attention. songs blend together in a heap of kind of boring

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Oct 28 2025
Clandestino by Manu Chao
Oct 29 2025

beautiful, hypnotic. Cool samples, many languages, different vocal tones - very nice. Deserves and will get many listens

Beach Samba by Astrud Gilberto
Jan 06 2026

a bit boring but still warm and inviting. A couple fun tidbits here and there like I Think of You’s percussion and the parade song

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Jan 07 2026

gritty, full of energy and emotion. And nostalgic from the listening to it from youth. big love. some lyrics not it anymore though

John Prine by John Prine
Jan 08 2026

beautiful in all the ways. lyrically, acoustically, vocally. tj tells me he started as a singing mailman, what a treat!

evermore by Taylor Swift
Jan 09 2026

I don’t think I was even supposed to listen to deluxe but it’s too long. how much can we beat on the same themes. Some songs kind of big bops though. Like the one about revenge. I remember listening to this during the pandemic. Woah how much time has passed. Some of these words have more meaning to me now, for better or for worse.

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Jan 10 2026

it just all begins to blend together and I hate to say it but the vocals begin to sound quack-ish. not enough edge

Country Life by Roxy Music
Jan 11 2026

Some cool songs like I liked triptych. But felt repetitive and boring overall

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Jan 12 2026

great, trancey album with dashes of spoken word, loved!

Out of Step by Minor Threat
Jan 14 2026

it just sounded like one long song. Could not make out what anyone was saying

Sea Change by Beck
Jan 16 2026

unexpectedly really liked most of this melancholy, sad album. maybe it’s the current state I’m in that craves this sort of connection to common human experience that’s embedded in the lyrics, albeit from a mans perspective. some songs bled together but lost case and guess I’m doing fine stand out, which are the exact words I’ve been jumping between to describe this time in my life

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Feb 28 2026

I listened to this about 3 times in the course of a couple days and at first some of it felt overplayed and very for radio (such short songs) but I grew to love it more and more. My favorite is Any Time at All, most gritty

A Walk Across The Rooftops by The Blue Nile
Mar 01 2026

I have a strange obsession with all of this. maybe I’m just a fiend for ambient sounds

The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter by The Incredible String Band
Mar 02 2026

weird. The highlights were water sound effects and some silly lyrics. there’s a time and place for this and it’s not here and now for me.

Oedipus Schmoedipus by Barry Adamson
Mar 04 2026

nawwww, this was so so so freaky. the stalking song? no thanks. Was gonna give it a 1 but I will say that I liked the big baboozle haha. Ridiculous album that reminds me of Tom Waits’ Swordfishtrombones without the fun.

Feast of Wire by Calexico
Mar 05 2026

the first and last songs are great but I forgot to keep listening in the in between. It’s both eclectic and boring somehow

The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett
Mar 06 2026

all over the place, trying too hard to be casual, and so left to be uninteresting. Passss

My Generation by The Who
Mar 07 2026

too nauseatingly long. it’s overall a good vibey album, and there are some great songs. But the length of it makes it all blend together

Leftism by Leftfield
Mar 08 2026

ehhh not into, couldn’t finish it, better music to listen to at this time
