Are You Experienced
Jimi HendrixUnreal. Never been imitated and still stands out as fresh and original amongst the 50 years of music thatβs come after it (to only give away is the production quality). Shout out to the drummer too.

First three are great. Goes into a dark country blues vibe which was cool, but lacking any hooks. Last two songs exit and mothers of the disappeared had an interesting cool vibe but again lacked that finishing melodic punch for me.
Disappointed. Meandering without rhythm or melody. βKeep gettin it onβ made me think the whole album was conjured up to support the only good track on the album.
βAll pop music is just a series of footnotes to the Beatlesβ.
So much fun and groove. Impossible to not smile or walk with a limp whilst listening.

I did not know my bloody valentine sounded like that. Not my thing usually, and think other bands do the same kind of thing better.
Iβm sure to someone itβs the perfect album. Does one thing for 17 songs. Only song of note for me was Memphis. Reminded me of GTA San Andreas country music station.
Actually got into the head banging after a while. Last song was the best.
Enjoyed it. Really liked Piano room.
Loads of novelty and weirdness without losing anything from the pop/rock/blues vibe
βHave the Rolling Stones killedβ βBut sir, those arenβtβ¦β βDo as I say!β
Pure joy.
Mostly quite boring.
Got a bonus star for the rudy canβt fail rip off
Didnβt get it. Liked the first song but thought the rest was pretty rubbish,
Think I would have enjoyed it more in the right context. Glad the only Portishead song I know finally came in at the end. Best track too.
Better than I thought it would be.
You could cut 25% of it and still have two 5 star albums. USSR, helter Skelter, yer blues, me and my monkey, birthday - all monsters. While my guitar, mother natures son, blackbird, cry baby cry. Even all the silly McCartney story songs are enjoyable interludes. Didnβt wanna just blindly give the Beatles 5 stars every time, butβ¦
The best I can say is that the music was so bland, I could focus entirely on the god awful lyrics.
Never been to a rave and probably wouldnβt enjoy it. But I enjoyed this.
I enjoyed imagining the fat, redneck layabout she might have been singing about. Otherwise, apart from those memories of you, found it dull.
Only song I really liked was the one with no singing.
Bring back disco for the bass players
Honestly hated it. Every element of every song felt disjointed. A band with only one good song and itβs not even on their best album π€¦ββοΈ
Quite liked it. 3/5
Can see myself as an old man, sitting in my chair listening to this straight through
The opening bar to moonage daydream and all of suffragette city were enjoyable. The rest I have already forgotten.
So many good bits at first, but petered out and never really hooked me
In my uni days trying to present myself as some philosophy studying hippy, could well see myself pretending to dig this to impress girls. Did quite like it.
Very good
Got half way before turning off.
3 felt harsh and 4 felt generous but by virtue of having at least 3 songs I would happily listen to again, i went for 4.
Interesting
Absolute vibe
Sounds like all the other American βNam music of the time. And thatβs a good thing.
Zzzzzzzzzzz
Very pleasant
What a lovely evening this would be
Good greatest hits but this album is pretty meh
Really good but not. Only hello really hits hard.
Mmm. Not for me.
A treat. Lovely stuff.
Pants
Wanted to like it.
Rich creamery butter
Genre defining music
Wtf was that drill sergeant song?
Easily my favourite sugarcanes album
Boring.
Man plays piano. Heβs good.
I suppose once you reach a level of virtuosity in any creative pursuit, you begin to push out into creative realms yet unexplored by the masses like me. As a result I found this listening experience impenetrably rubbish. 0/5
Need louder headphones
I would like to see some science on testosterone production whilst listening to AC/DC. Only soy boy wet wipes donβt like.
Unexpectedly vibed with it. I felt like it was the soundtrack to an old crank hoarder as he went about his scruffy life, being cantankerous.
Might grow on me next time round
The previous two NY albums were so boring, that I was surprised to enjoy this one. First few songs hooked me into the right listening space.
Didnβt realise so much prog sounded the same. Still good.
Simultaneously weird and boring.
A great album, with two of the best metal songs of all time.
Bowie-esque. Iβm glad it came out after Uni. Remember them being everywhere. Glad theyβre not anymore.
Probs would have been a 3/5, but was reminded what a masterpiece βgod only knowsβ is.
Good vibe. Would listen again.
Not really my thing. Nice background music at a bar in Benidorm or something though I reckon. Thst boosts it to 3/5
So much rubbish
Incredible. Possibly favourite album so far.
Not as good as I was hoping. Ok though.
It is the definitive album of the entire βemoβ subculture. And probably the best album that can be considered βemoβ. A bit too βemoβ for my tastes (compared to Dookie, for example), but I rate them higher than blink 182, and a lot of other rubbish American teen punk.
Obviously of its era, but really liked it.
Felt like a piece of American cultural history more than an album.
Nice.
Boring
Not my bag but better than a two.
Apart from the weight, really bland.
His voice just gets to me. Good music, but canβt love it.
Makes me wish I was 18 back at uni listening to this and all other music for the first time again. Top, maybe 20, album for me I think. Nostalgic yet still fresh.
Think Iβd really really like it after a few listens.
I wonder what would have happened if all these satan-worshipping goths never got the catharsis this music gives them(/us)?
Mazy rubbish masquerading as jazz influence. Early weeknd albums much better in the same vein.
Bit punked out now. Still ok though
Did not vibe
