Popular Reviews

All Hail the Queen by Queen Latifah

Some catchy songs, some annoying songs. barely 3 stars.

It's crazy how much Genesis changed over the years. I'm a fan of their later stuff but this is just too prog-rock for me.

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
May 16 2025

I think of Trainspotting every time I heard Lust for Life

Rio by Duran Duran
May 17 2025
Funeral by Arcade Fire
May 18 2025

too folksy for me

May 19 2025

The only song I had heard was Straight Outta Compton, but the whole album is good.

The Band by The Band
May 20 2025

Just not my kind of music.

Beach Samba by Astrud Gilberto
May 23 2025

Great voice, but the songs aren't that good.

Thriller by Michael Jackson
May 24 2025

Some awesome songs, but also some filler

Back In Black by AC/DC
May 25 2025

Not in my top 20, but definitely a five star album.

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
May 26 2025

The countriest of country music. Not my thing

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
May 27 2025

Meh, didn't leave an impression on me.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
May 28 2025

Good, but not up to the standards of back in black

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
May 29 2025

I'm starting to think Arcade Fire is overrated.

All Hail the Queen by Queen Latifah
May 30 2025

Some catchy songs, some annoying songs. barely 3 stars.

Morrison Hotel by The Doors
May 31 2025

I forgot how good The Doors are

Close To You by Carpenters
Jun 01 2025

Sooo boring, it's like an album of lullabies

A Northern Soul by The Verve
Jun 02 2025

An enjoyable listen, but not nearly as good as Urban Hymns

Supa Dupa Fly by Missy Elliott
Jun 04 2025

Is Missy Elliot my favorite female rapper of all time? Yes. Is this her best album? No. Still damn good tho

Behaviour by Pet Shop Boys
Jun 05 2025

His voice is kinda annoying.

The Healer by John Lee Hooker
Jun 06 2025

I can't believe I'd never heard of John Lee Hooker. This is a damn good album.

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Jun 10 2025

Reminds me of late-era Radiohead; Good, but not at all catchy.

Connected by Stereo MC's
Jun 12 2025

It's very 90s and I like it. The carphone warehouse kind of ruined the song Connected for me.

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Jun 15 2025

Love her voice, like her songs, really dislike the interludes.

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jun 16 2025

I feel like I should like this more, but it's just not clicking; Except Oliver's Army - great song.

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Jun 18 2025

Decent album, but not nearly as good as Bachelor No 2.

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Jun 19 2025

The Velvet Underground only had one great album and it wasn't this one.

Jun 20 2025

I think I would have liked this a lot more if I had heard it when it first came out. Still would have been annoyed by the skits.

Aja by Steely Dan
Jun 22 2025
Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Jun 23 2025

You Can't Always Get What You Want and Gimme Shelter are both fantastic songs, but the rest are kinda forgettable.

Back to Basics by Christina Aguilera
Jun 25 2025

This album proves what a great voice she has. For me it's somewhat of a let down after her Dirrty era.

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
Jun 26 2025

Love this album. It still gives me the chills the same way it did when I first listened to it.

Bone Machine by Tom Waits
Jun 27 2025

Interesting album but not one I particularly enjoyed. The combination of the songs and Tom Waits voice is a bit too raw for me.

Jun 28 2025

I only knew about Marty Robbins thanks to New Vegas. None of his other songs are as good as Big Iron, but the more upbeat one are pretty good. I was tempted to give this 2 stars but it is really easy to listen to.

16 Lovers Lane by The Go-Betweens
Jun 30 2025

This is meant to be indie rock, but it feels closer to dream pop to me. Either way I really like it.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Jul 01 2025

As much as I like David Bowie, this album is pretty forgettable.

Treasure by Cocteau Twins
Jul 03 2025

I can barely catch any of the lyrics so I've no idea what they are singing about. I do however love their voices and the whole album is a great listen.

Entertainment by Gang Of Four
Jul 06 2025

Every song started strong, but ended up being kinda repetitive. I don't regret listening to this album, but I wouldn't listen to it again.

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman
Jul 10 2025

I only knew of Randy Newman due to the Family Guy sketch, so I was expecting this album to be annoying, but it's actually pretty good.

Pretenders by Pretenders
Jul 11 2025

Brass in Pocket was the only song that stood out for me on this album.

21 by Adele
Jul 13 2025

Fantastic album. I'm normally not a fan of ballads, but every song on 21 is a banger.

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Jul 14 2025

I do like the sound, but the album just couldn't hold my attention. If the songs were a little more catchy I would have given it 4 stars.

C'est Chic by CHIC
Jul 16 2025

Somehow I had never heard of this band, but had heard many of their songs. Great album

Unhalfbricking by Fairport Convention
Jul 18 2025

I didn't think I was going to like this, but it's actually pretty good.

Dr. Octagonecologyst by Dr. Octagon
Jul 20 2025

I remember seeing this album in a used record shop back in the late 90s. I almost bought it but decided to buy Mezzanine instead. I should have bought them both. This is one of the most creative albums I've ever listened to.

Imagine by John Lennon
Jul 23 2025

Ugghh

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025
1984 by Van Halen
Jul 30 2025

This is peak Van Halen.

Picture Book by Simply Red
Jul 31 2025

This one just didn't grab me like "Life" did.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Aug 02 2025

Honestly all Alice In Chains songs sound kinda the same to me, but I like the sound so that's no problem.

The Bends by Radiohead
Aug 04 2025

Amazing album. I could listen to this (and OK Computer) on repeat forever. I enjoy 90s Radiohead so much more than their later work.

Underwater Moonlight by The Soft Boys
Aug 06 2025

I'd never heard of The Soft Boys before, but they're pretty good. Although not the most memorable songs, they are easy to listen to.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Aug 07 2025

Middle of the road Stones album. None of the songs really stand out except for Under My Thumb, which stands out more for how creepy the lyrics than anything else.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters by Fiona Apple
Aug 08 2025

Much more experimental than her 90s stuff. Still has a great voice.

Caetano Veloso by Caetano Veloso
Aug 10 2025

Boring music, boring voice

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Aug 11 2025

I really wish it had vocals.

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Aug 12 2025

I'm not usually a big fan of jazz, but I like this one. It makes me want to drink whisky and smoke.

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Aug 15 2025
The Specials by The Specials
Aug 16 2025

This was a hard album to rate. There are so many great hooks, but the songs are always feel like a let down in comparison.

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Aug 18 2025

Great album! Really has that timeless sound.

Justified by Justin Timberlake
Aug 20 2025

Cry me a river and Rock your body are the only two songs I remembered from this album. It turns out that those are the only two worth remembering.

First Band On The Moon by The Cardigans
Aug 21 2025

I bought this album after hearing Lovefool in Romero+Juilet. Buying an album after only hearing one song was always a risky proposition, but this one was definitely worth it. The whole album is full of fun and whimsy. Very very close to 5 stars.

Shleep by Robert Wyatt
Aug 24 2025

This albums alternates between annoying and boring.

Exit Planet Dust by The Chemical Brothers
Aug 28 2025

I really liked Let Forever Be so I was expecting to like this album, but it's was just too repetitive.

Aug 29 2025

It's crazy how much Genesis changed over the years. I'm a fan of their later stuff but this is just too prog-rock for me.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Aug 31 2025

The coolest album I've ever listen to

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Sep 01 2025

The soundtrack to my uni days. Mr Brightside will never die.

Ten by Pearl Jam
Sep 02 2025

Great voice, good music.

The Slim Shady LP by Eminem
Sep 06 2025

The skits are better than most, but they're annoying nonetheless. Still a great album tho

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Sep 11 2025

Not usually a fan of orchestral music, but this album won me over.

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Sep 12 2025

Better than Neil's solo work.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Sep 13 2025

Great music, but way too short! Albums should not be under 30 mins.

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Sep 16 2025

We Are Family is a great song and it's not even the best on this album.

25 by Adele
Sep 22 2025

Certainly still a great voice, but disappointing compared to 19 and 21.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Sep 24 2025

So damn good. Her death was a loss to the world of music.

Who's Next by The Who
Sep 25 2025

Great opening track, but the rest was nothing special. I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion but I actually prefer Limp Bizkit's cover of behind blue eyes.

Scum by Napalm Death
Sep 29 2025
The Yes Album by Yes
Sep 30 2025

Great opening track, but the rest was nothing special. I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion but I actually prefer Limp Bizkit's cover of Behind Blue Eyes.

Green by R.E.M.
Oct 02 2025
Amnesiac by Radiohead
Oct 09 2025
