Will The Circle Be Unbroken
Nitty Gritty Dirt BandThis is an absolute smoker of an album. If you are not already familiar with these legends, it just might blow your mind.

Great soundtrack for a Halloween party. Dark, edgy & wired. This predicted the music of the 80s. My rating shows my like for it at this point in life, earlier I would have given it a straight 5 stars
This has been a favorite for decades now. Easy 5 stars for me.
A personal favorite for decades. It's absolutely foundational to the music in my life. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
This is not a top tier Miles album for me, but it's still better than most of the music out there.
I knew that the run of great albums wouldn't last forever, but I was surprised that a total shit record like this made the list. This album exhibits all the worst traits of 90s albums, bloat, lack of creative ideas, misogyny, sophomoric "humor". Can I give negative stars?
Is there anyone on Earth who doesn't like Al Green? What a voice! And the production! It's just all a giant warm hug. Love this.
This is obviously not one of the 1001 Best Albums. But I'm giving it a 2 based on my love for it when I was a dumb kid in the 70s.
Another disappointing entry on the list. It's not that this is bad, it's just mediocre covers. A fun cover band, sure, but it doesn't even sniff the top 1000.
Great fall music. This is a vibe that isn't for everyone, but if it's for you, you will love it. Some absolute classics here.
This album lives in the shadow of the 2 preceding albums, but it's great & probably deserves more accolades. Sure, it's bloated, but that's a product of its time more than anything.
This one is carried by the two (great) singles. Otherwise, rather disappointing.
An easy 5 star album. This sounds like parts of many things, but I can't think of anything else that really sounds like this. Brilliant.
This is a very fun punk album. Great energy. I'm giving an extra star for "Teenage Kicks" because the single is that damn good.
Very strong singles, but the other tracks are skippable.
This is a terrible record. Terrible. I gave it a gentleman's 2, based primarily on my liking the titular song (and I can't defend it's quality, just it's ubiquitous nature in SoCal at a certain time). They should have broken up in the early 90s.
A fun party album, but not really something you want to sit down & listen to. I'm adding a star on the strength of "Apache". Classic track.
It's a mug of hot tea on a chilly evening. It's a hug at the end of a hard day. Essential listening.
Inescapable. It's probably 3 stars in disguise, but I'm giving it the full 5.
Not really my jam anymore, but undeniable in it's importance. I'm giving an extra star for Search & Destroy & Gimme Danger.
An absolute classic album. If you are someone who thinks that reggae is something only for stoned undergrads who want to feel "irie", then sit back & let this gem work it's magic on you. Once you've digested this, take a listen to "Garvey's Ghost" the dub version.
Surprisingly fun. All Good People is good enough for a star on it's own.
Well made, but totally not something I enjoy.
Yawn. Kind of a bore. Yes I can spot the influences, but they don't really bring anything new to the table.
