I didn't enjoy any of the album's songs. Elephant is a much more likable album, with two songs standing out. There is obviously Seven nation army, but specially Black Math.
Enjoyed songs: Sprawl II (Mountains beyond Mountains). Its monotone, every songs sounds alike. Filled with skippable songs. Its just not the sounds I appreciate.
Robert Smith is an aquired taste, but this album does not contribute to that. Lovesong, Boys dont cry, Just like heaven ir Friday I'm in love are some enjoyable The Cure songs, but none are in this album.
Pink Floyd is always a safe bet. The Wall is not a Pink Floyd favorite (behind Dark Side of the Moon and Whish You Were Here), but its an enjoyable listen.
It was an ok listen, but not something I would actively seek to hear.
It's a very neutral album. One can listen to it from start to finish without skipping any song, but there is no memorable songs either (dispite Isn't she Lovely, I feel I heard better versions of this song elsewhere). Its good if you want something playing in the background.
Its just not my music preference.
It is impressive that this is the debut album of GNR, including songs like Welcome to the Jungle or Sweet Child of Mine. It is hard to go wrong with a nice guitar rift and Axl's unmistakable voice. However sometime you can do too much (Paradise City) or too little (most of the album is filler, forgettable songs). Adding all that and you have an ok album, but not much more than that.
There is nothing good to say about it. Calling oneself the soul machine and release this is ironic.
I'm wont remember this album by tomorrow, it has very uninteresting vocals. I should have liked this album better because it has some good things, but i just dont
Its an ok introduction to Led Zeppelin, but its not their best.
This must not be treated as an album, but as a playlist. As an hearing experience its a safe bet, its not an album to come back very often or that i will keep at the top of my mind, but overall its an enjoyable experience.
Its just mild, borderline uninteresting.
I can appreciate its value as an experimental album, but I can’t imagine anyone choosing to listen to it repeatedly. For me, it’s just too much, and I can only see it as an exercise in pushing boundaries.
Its pretty unremarkable, except for the absolutely annoying lead singer voice.
Bob Dylan is not for me...
A good start with Cecilia Ann, an instrumental only song, and it goes down hill from there.
Sounds terrible, I don't care what kind of theories people make up with about this albums. Its not some obscure masterpiece that only the brightest minds comprehend, its just awful. Even admiting that this is a highly advanced exercise on music making, at the end of the day it doesn't sound good and my score evaluates that.
It’s like a caricature of an album, as if someone went on vacation to an exotic place, fell in love with the music there, and then rushed home to create something that mimicked the sounds of their trip.
Although I appreciate the clarity of the vocals, which isn’t common in most bands, it also makes it more obvious how basic the lyrics are. Other than that, it’s an okay-sounding album, and I wish I could enjoy it more, but it’s just very average.
It's like hearing nails scratching on a blackboard.
Doesn't really interest me.
Dull
Uninteresting
This is probably what a middle aged woman would define as a wild sounding album.
I could understang its appeal to some, but not for me
i would give it a 3.5
It start good, but by the end you're tired of hearing it.
All the songs sound the same, and thats not necessarily a good thing
Boring, repetitive, and not worth a second listen. I just can’t understand why “La Grange” is so popular.
It was neutral. It didn’t offend me to listen to it, but it’s not something I’ll remember for long.
Purple rain saves the album
Perhaps I dint understand it.
3*, but more enjoyable than "In a Silent Way"
2.5*
3.5*
its just your average pop album
Great instrumentals, but everything else is unsufferable.
