Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Jan 12 2026

This went on forever and scored 0/10 for the duration pretty much, albeit with a possible half mark for the title track given the opening riff and that the connection always makes me laugh when anyone mentions “Highway to Holiness” a VCFS organisation based in Haringey… I’d be up for albums on weekends too if others are? Tom.

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Jan 13 2026

Love this but I am a fan of jazz although this is very accessible and would recommend to people who say they don’t like jazz.

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
Jan 14 2026

Flaming Lips have always annoyed me a bit, too coy by half, but I quite enjoyed going back to this, Fight Test is a really good song. Tom.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Jan 15 2026

Before last Saturday this would have easily been the worst LP I’d ever had the misfortune to listen to all the way through, “Highway To Hell” set a very high bar in that regard but on balance AM just about got over it…OMG, never again. Tom. I found this unbearable, the lyrics, vocals...everything. Charlotte

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Jan 17 2026

Marginally better than AC/DC and AM but only marginally so, this achieved third bottom so far because one can’t help nodding along to the opening of SOTW…

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Jan 18 2026

I can not be dealing with Springsteen, although I do quite like the song The Cash Brothers wrote about this album. Source: YouTube https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Pycuwh1p4oo&pp=0gcJCTIBo7VqN5tD

Be by Common
Jan 19 2026

I enjoyed this very much, thank you for sharing random generator person. Tom. Not listened to this before, really enjoyed it. I will definitely listen to this again.

The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
Jan 20 2026

Random generator person, you are on fire❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Solid Air by John Martyn
Jan 21 2026

A morning with a star sailor - fantastic stuff!!!!! Love “Solid Air” and “Bless The Weather”. Tom. I liked this, nice start to the day. Charlotte

There's A Riot Goin' On by Sly & The Family Stone
Jan 22 2026

I really enjoyed this, the silent title track being a particular slice of genius. Tom. A good way to stay the day, I’m feeling suitably chilled. Great album. Charlotte

Smash by The Offspring
Jan 24 2026

I can not in good conscience offer this a rating due to it being unutterably appalling, however I fear the system will require me to award it one star, thus putting the album on a par with the dreadful efforts by AC/DC and Alanis, when unfeasibly it is actually quite a lot worse. Tom. Rubbish - Charlotte

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Jan 25 2026

Too hygienic for me, like shopping in duty free. Tom.

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Jan 26 2026

I just can’t like this no matter how many times I try, not sure why. “7 O’clock News/Silent Night” is a great Christmas song though. Tom

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
Jan 27 2026

I love The Byrds and have much affection for The Hollies and Buffalo Springfield but I totally can not be dealing with CSN or any of their variants - painfully bad. The system requires me to award a minimum of one star, very much undeserved in this instance. Tom.

Smile by Brian Wilson
Jan 28 2026

I like Heros and Villians but that’s just because it’s in Fantastic Mr Fox. Great film

Teen Dream by Beach House
Jan 29 2026

The first track was nice but the others were all a bit same. Nothing stood out for me.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jan 31 2026

Not listened to this for a long time.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Feb 02 2026

Love this and brings back some happy memories

A Walk Across The Rooftops by The Blue Nile
Feb 06 2026

I found it repetitive and there are much better albums at that time of a similar style and sound

Homework by Daft Punk
Feb 09 2026

I do like this and at the time played it a lot, it’s a 3 from me

Peggy Suicide by Julian Cope
Feb 11 2026

Never listened to this before, I enjoyed it

25 by Adele
Feb 19 2026
Psychocandy by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Feb 20 2026

Not listened to this album for a long time. Really enjoyed revisiting this

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Feb 21 2026

I like jazz and Miles Davis is brilliant, but I found this a bit of a difficult listen. Spanish key was probably the track I liked the most.

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Feb 23 2026

Ok but by the end I was ready to listen to something else. A bit repetitive.

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Feb 24 2026

Great voice and character, great songs, great random choice for a Monday

Snivilisation by Orbital
Feb 26 2026

What a treat, loved revisiting this,

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Feb 27 2026

Dreadful from start to finish

Ray Of Light by Madonna
Mar 01 2026

I like Madonna but not a fan of this album. Feels like a stab at blending an electronic sound with pop.

Goo by Sonic Youth
Mar 02 2026
Purple Rain by Prince
Mar 10 2026

Happy days… the wait for a Prince album has been too long.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Mar 14 2026

It’s Bad

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Mar 17 2026

Too repetitive for me. I like the tracks pink moon and road.

Repeater by Fugazi
Mar 18 2026

Excellent, tight album, surprisingly fun. Good band.

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Mar 20 2026

Enjoyed this a lot - didn't know anything about the band before listening, but the harmonies were gorgeous and the whole vibe was very enjoyable for a spring day.

Oar by Alexander 'Skip' Spence
Mar 22 2026
In It For The Money by Supergrass
Mar 23 2026

Enjoyed this though I felt like it tailed off towards the end of the album. Not an album I'll revisit again, but it was nice to come back to it after a 25 year absence

21 by Adele
Mar 24 2026
Street Life by The Crusaders
Mar 27 2026

I liked the fact the album opened with an 11 minute classic but disappointing after that.

Mar 30 2026

I enjoyed this

Dummy by Portishead
Apr 01 2026

This album was huge when released, I remember it was played everywhere. I still love it.
