I’ve known this album for years, but I’d never listened to it all the way through. There are so many different versions, like mono and first versions. Sometimes I actually prefer them to the 2022 mix. I loved hearing their laughter, it made me really happy.

First time listening to Isaac Hayes. I like the instrumental grooves, but I find it a bit boring because every track is so long. If I find a good part in a 14-minute track, I can’t wait to get to that part. My favorite tracks are ‘Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic’ and ‘By the Time I Get to Phoenix.’

I could often predict what kind of sound would come next, especially in the first or second track. Even so, I enjoyed this album a lot. For me, jazz music used to feel calm and a bit boring, but this album was awesome.
