How familiar am I with this album?
Somewhat familiar, I know the title track
How do I feel about this artist?
Not an avid listener but I enjoy Marvin Gaye when I hear him
How was it to listen to?
Very easy listen, super smooth
Favorite song(s)?
Let's Get it On, an obvious choice but a classic for a reason
Overall Thoughts:
Musically speaking it was a very pleasant listen, but lyrically it was very sexual in nature (as it’s known to be) and I personally just do not relate to that, but I do see why this album is considered a classic.

No
How familiar am I with this album?
I recognize some of the songs
How do I feel about this artist?
Not an avid listener, but know/like their main hits
Favorite song(s)?
Listen to the Music—I think I prefer this version to Doobie Brothers
Overall Thoughts:
I do not listen to much funk/soul but I enjoyed this. I knew about half the songs going in. The flow was pretty good with a fair mix of slow and fast tracks, though I tend to prefer more upbeat songs overall in this genre.

I know a few songs
How do I feel about this artist?
I’m not an avid listener, but I always find Simon & Garfunkel pleasant to listen to.
Favorite song(s)?
America
Overall Thoughts:
A Side is a fine concept album (yeah there’s a little weirdness but I expect that in a concept album), B Side is more like a regular album. I’m not sure they make one good cohesive album together, it felt more like two separate EPs.
Very easy listening, but not interesting. Paul's voice definitely pales compared to Art's but together they harmonize well. Paul Simon’s brilliant lyrics get lost in what feels like background music.

How familiar am I with this album?
I don’t know any songs from this album except one and that’s because Jack White covered it
How do I feel about this artist?
I’m pretty neutral about U2. I wouldn’t call myself a fan but when their hits come on the radio I do find myself singing along.
Favorite song(s)?
So Cruel, Acrobat
Overall Thoughts:
This is the first album I’ve gotten so far where I didn’t really know any of the songs. Most of the U2 I know is from Joshua tree, and I know this album is a departure from that sound, but I still found it to be as generic as any other U2 album. Overall it was fine background music but I probably won’t be adding any songs to my personal library (sorry Bono but I like Jack White’s Love is blindness better)

How familiar am I with this album?
I know a few songs but most early Beatles is pretty unknown to me
How do I feel about this artist?
I enjoy the Beatles, they’re not my favorite band ever but I definitely recognize their contribution to rock music. I generally prefer their later stuff.
Favorite song(s)?
Can’t Buy Me Love, Things We Said Today
Overall Thoughts:
Quality album, but some of the songs are pretty forgettable. I feel like I shouldn’t rate this against later Beatles albums but I can’t help it. There was a lot of poppy-rock music like this in the early 60s and I think it’s just not my thing. It was before 60s music got interesting and The Beatles were a big part of that, just not with this album.

How do I feel about this artist?
Bob Dylan's voice generally annoys me but I like to listen to his lyrics and I love some good harmonica
Favorite song(s)?
Title Track, Outlaw Blues, Bob Dylan's 115th Dream, Gates of Eden
Overall Thoughts:
I liked this more than I expected to. I associate Dylan heavily with protest music (nothing wrong with that), but this was just a straight forward blues album. I liked the switchover from electric to acoustic halfway through.

How familiar am I with this album?
Completely unfamiliar
How do I feel about this artist?
I do not know this artist
Favorite song(s)?
Give Up the Funk (I recognized this one)
Overall Thoughts:
Funk continues to not be my thing but this was an okay listen. Everything kind of ran together and not much stood out.

I am completely unfamiliar with this album
How do I feel about this artist?
I do not know anything by Steve Earle
Favorite song(s)?
Down the Road
Overall Thoughts:
I thought it was kind of cheesy, I like country more when it’s actually saying something of substance. Not a bad listen, but not my thing.

I don't know any of these songs
How do I feel about this artist?
I recognize Black Sabbath's overall contribution to music and metal, but I have never really been a listener
Favorite song(s)?
Laguna Sunrise, Supernaut
Overall Thoughts:
I like traditional rock and roll more than metal, but this album was fun. it was interesting throughout and kept me engaged.

How familiar am I with this album?
I don’t know any of these songs
How do I feel about this artist?
I like their hits but most of the songs I know have Young in them
Favorite song(s)?
Wooden Ships, Long Time Goodbye
Overall Thoughts:
I wanted to like it more than I did. With the exception of a few songs, it all kind of ran together. Parts of it were pretty boring. Maybe this kind of folk just isn’t for me, but I think Crosby, Stills, & Nash really benefit from Young coming in later.
I’m giving it 3 stars, one for each man. If Neil Young were there I probably would’ve given it 4 stars

How familiar am I with this album?
I know Take on Me
How do I feel about this artist?
I like Take on Me
Favorite song(s)?
Take on Me, Sun Always Shines on TV
Overall Thoughts:
I liked this one. I generally enjoy 80's New Wave stuff so I am not surprised. a-Ha is not a band from that era that I am super familiar with outside of their biggest hit, but I liked listening to more of their stuff on here. Dragged a bit towards the end.

How do I feel about this artist?

How do I feel about this artist?
Who doesn’t like B.B. King?
Favorite song(s)?
Everyday I Have the Blues, Please Love Me
Overall Thoughts:
I’m don’t usually like live albums where you can hear the crowd, but it works with blues and jazz. Always love some good blues guitar, and B.B. was the literal king of it. Solid listen, great flow, super fun album overall.

Chef!
Favorite song(s)?
Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic
Overall Thoughts:
Still not a fan of soul, and I thought it was weird that it was just a few really long songs that had drawn out speaking parts in them, but I’m giving this three stars because Isaac Hayes is an extremely gifted vocalist, even if it’s not my favorite genre.

How do I feel about this artist?
Not a big electronic fan, I’ve seen them on a SNL
Favorite song(s)?
Time to Get Away, All My Friends, New York I Love You
Overall Thoughts:
I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. It’s a nice blend of electronic, rock, and alternative. The first song turned me off but it only got better after that.

How do I feel about this artist?
I don’t know this artist, but I’m familiar with Wu-Tang
Favorite song(s)?
Knuckheadz
Overall Thoughts:
This was a fun album, but it didn’t connect with me in any way. I grew up in suburban Utah and gangster rap is never going to resonate with me. Not bad music, but not something I will revisit.

I’m neutral about Wilco, I don’t know Billy Braggs
Favorite song(s)?
Walt Whitman, California Stars, Hoodoo Voodoo
Overall Thoughts:
This album cover speak to me, not sure what it is about it, maybe the bit of handwritten typography. This one was fun, I love the story behind it. It was a nice collaboration, kept me engaged the whole time I listened. A lot of the songs were very catchy but also sounded different from one another, at least to me. I’m not a big country fan but this is more folk and I enjoyed it.

RUN-DMC is fun but I don't think I could name any songs by then except Tricky.
Favorite song(s)?
Rock Box, It's Like That, Wake Up, 30 Days
Overall Thoughts:
I recognized more of this that I thought I would. It was fun, every song belonged and none felt like filler. I don't listen to much rap but when I do enjoy it it's this specific Hip-Hop era, which this album pioneered.

How familiar am I with this album?
I apparently know "Alright"
How do I feel about this artist?
I really don't know anything about Supergrass
Favorite song(s)?
Alright, Sofa, Strange Ones
Overall Thoughts:
This was a really fun listen, I liked every song. I am not sure what the definition of Britpop actually is, but it's apparently not pop. I heard a lot of punk and glam influence and similarities to the riot-girl and grunge movements out of the PNW around the same time as this release. I have yet to have an album that made me actually want to start listening more to a band but this one did. I am giving it 5 for now, but later my system could change and I could end up demoting it to a 4.

How do I feel about this artist?
BRUUUUUUCE! I have tickets to see him for the second time next month. That being said, I know this album is VERY different from his usual work so my rating may not reflect how I feel about Bruce overall.
Favorite song(s)?
Atlantic City, Open All Night
Overall Thoughts:
I knew going in that this would be depressing but good god man. Beautifully written, hints of harmonica, but still a huge drag. Very little tempo change throughout and bad things just kept happening to everybody.
