Was fun to drive and clean to this album. Felt like my own little soundtrack! I do prefer vocals vs totally instrumental, but it was a nice listen!
Only listened to about half. Not really my thing. Cool album cover tho.
This album was a banger. Some familiar, some new. But you can't go wrong with Little Richard.
3.5 - definitely a solid album! Needs a bit more of a deep dive, but I enjoyed it. 28 songs is too long tho!
I am familiar with this album, and four songs on it so it was great to get a listen of it all. Excellent album, all songs are good, most are great. 4.5
This was a musical dumpster fire. There was one semi ok song in all this nonsense. It's turned me off from exploring their vast catalouge. Great dumb band name tho.
Solid old school country vibe. Started strong but ended up feeling more like a nice background music. 3 stars.
So this one was divisive for me. I'd say half I enjoyed, some were meh and I quite disliked a couple. 2.5
I'm already a fan but had never heard this whole thing. Love them.
Maybe one or two songs didn t click, but some of my favorite Dylan is on this album. 4.5
I actually liked this for the most part - I have some Zappa on my Playlists, but the last couple songs were the Zappa I was worried this album would be.
What a snoozefest. Didn't resonate with this at all, but it wasn't absolutely offensive either.
I'm sad to say this was the first one I didn't finish, not because I didn't enjoy it, but life was just busy this day!
I almost finished this, and while I didn't dislike it, I didn't like it much either
2 stars
This was great. Knight moves, Marlene on the Wall, and the Queen and the soldier were standouts for me. Would relisten for sure.
There were a couple of moments, but overall I wasn't in the mood for this, and left 8 songs or so unlistened to.
2.5
I felt like I wanted to like this, but it was a bit blah for me. Not offensive, and a couple songs kinda stuck out to me. But overall it was dull for me today. 2
This was a very pleasant surprise. I know thr hits but have never listened to them otherwise. It made me feel like I could actually be a fan of their stuff. Great guitar too.
Love him.
This one was interesting. I ended up quite liking and saving a handful of songs from it, but then there were quite a few that did nothing for me, and several I disliked as well.
2.75
Boring, but not offensive. Just didn't care about it at all.
Nope. Not for me.
There's definitely some gems in here, and he has a beautiful voice and lots if talent. There were plenty of songs that just didn't grab me tho. Overall I liked it, felt long, wouldn't run to listen to the whole album. But added a few to my dance mix!
Given the songs I know by James Brown, I didn't expect to be this bored. Especially the 11 minute one. Yowza. I also don't usually get anything out of a live album unless i'm a huge fan.
I enjoyed this, tho it all started to blend after awhile. Was nice to hear some hip hop without all the derogatory words! Felt positive!
Even tho I thought it sounded good, there were way too much instrumentals, the songs were way too long and it all ended up blending together. I liked the vibe but a whole album is a no.
2.75 -- i love his voice and hear clearly the grief. I was moved to tears at a couple points. It was however too slow for my listening tastes so I couldnt imagine reaching for the album to listen to as a whole agian. Saving a song tho.
Was already very familiar with this one. It's beautiful and sad. And his covers of hurt, personal Jesus, and desperado are better than the originals. Amazing voice.
I do enjoy Abba and it's very catchy. I didn't discover much that was better than the hits though. It was a fun listen tho! 3.5
3.5 -- enjoyed this album! No song compares to the weight though.
I have always felt i should like Arcade Fire. While I do enjoy a song or two, Neon Bible was a decent tune, I just don't. I find them pretentious. I can't figure out how this album made this list.
I liked the sound of thr music, but knowing the subject matter and hearing the sultry tone of it all, it was hard to enjoy it totally!
2.75
3.75 - haven't ever really listened to her, but this had some songs I definitely want to hear again! It'll be a relisten at some point for sure.
Bangers!
This was so enjoyable!
23 minute instrumental? 7 minute all feedback?! 15 minute songs...
Can't deny the talent and I love a few I've heard over the years, but this one was a bummer.
Ack. Another instrumental. It doesn't matter how funky or cool the music is. A 15 minute song with no lyrics is not my jam. I decided to listen to a few and didn't really care to hear the last song. 2 stars because it's in no way offensive, I just didn't like it.
Only knew the hits, but was right at the angst teen age when it was out. I enjoyed it for what it was!
Didn't hate but didn't finish because while I don't mind the sound, it insists upon itself after awhile. I will rate what I listened to!
Of course I know of this album but I'd never heard it, other than 1999 and Little Red Corvette.
This man is an incredible artist and I enjoyed this lots. The only reason it can't be 5 stars is I really do not like when songs are more than 6 minutes MAX. It just loses impact for me to have songs that long. There are quite a few here and it just starts to make me zone out, even if I like the song at first!
The Who is great, but again I feel like I don't need to hear so many live albums. The drumming was tight tho!!
This was pretty. His voice is always good. And I was familiar with his cover of Georgia. It didn't quite hit today as I needed more energy in my music, but still liked it! 3.5
2.5 -- didn't hate this at all, even saved a song. But I found it had to hear them? Vocally it felt a bit all over the place, and the singing felt muffled, and the leads voice didn't grab me.
I listened to this multiple times. Know them and knew a song but never an album. They are great!!
What a voice! This was a treat.
Great! 4 stars
All the songs were enjoyable, and a few are their amazing ones. I'm already a fan, so i may be biased, but i hadn't listened to the album yet.
Unpopular opinion but other than a few songs, I do not enjoy pink Floyd. This was a lot of noise, some ok but mostly just nof enjoyable to listen to.
This was better than I was expecting. Was catchy for the most part, even tho only one song is going to make it on a list of mine for now.
Catchy! Loved all the horns. 3.5
This was decent. The first song is by far the best tho, so even listening twice to the album felt let down as it went on with no more real standouts. 2.75
This was meh. The only songs that were interesting were the ones they are famous for. One other was kinda catchy but other than that...
Beautiful voice, but started to all sound the same. Not my style of regular music so I'm not sure it'll get a repeat.
I love the vibes, but this all just sounded like the same song to me. Maybe I just don't resonate with reggae, which would make sense i guess. 2.5
Catchy, already familiar with it.
Fantastic. Know 2 songs very well but the rest was new. Lived up to the hype.
Blah. This didn't do a thing for me. Wasn't offensive tho
He has a cool voice and a couple songs were ok. But this was very very boring.
Had some good songs on it, but about half was pretty meh? Might be worth a relisten.
This was quite good! I actually liked it better than his more famous album Songs in the Key of Life which surprised me.
What a great album. I wonder if she did lots of covers, or I've heard lots of covers of her songs.
Some of the beats and music was ok, but the rest did NOTHING for me. So confused how this made the list. Started skipping and then gave up on it. Not good.
It wasn't bad music, but i couldnt even remotely relate and felt like it really wasn't made for me. Also way too many interludes.
