I only liked the first two songs and only kind of. Points for creativity. But also, its ok to make your voice sound good! Its like jack white but only the bad parts. Instruments were very interesting on some of it but those vocals man, those are awful. I was in between a 1 and a 3, and I don't want to give it a 2 if that makes sense. Like either a 1 or a 3. So 2 will have to do.

I grew up on the Flaming Lips so a lot of these are so nostalgic for me, I love them so much. I had such a hard time picking a favorite, between Race for the Prize and What is the Light? I think the Flaming Lips have a very unique sound and are doing a lot of cool stuff but I totally can see how people may not like them or could find their voice grating, but it aint me.

This album is weird. I feel like there are parts of every song that I really like and others that kind of make me want to tear my ears off, the dichotomy is odd. Yeah I already know this is about to be controversial. I’m a big fan of whatever this is. This is what Pere Ubu wishes he was. It’s strange, it’s beautiful, there’s random sounds, I kind of feel like this is SHPONGLE with more vocals at times. This is exactly what I’ve been needing to shake things up a bit. I did think there was actually people screaming around me during the last song (only on the deluxe version)
