Staring with an album that I must have listened to 100s of times is no challenge. My favourite Beatles LP. It took a while to get into it, but once I did I loved everything about it. 10/10
You can't deny that the singles from this LP are some of the recognizable songs ever. The problem with all Michael Jackson LPS now is that they are somewhat tarnished by the revelations of his life and the activities that happened at the Neverland ranch. Billie Jean, Beat it, Thriller, Wanna be starting something, r enough to give this four stars but the rest of the songs can be taken or left
God spoke unto David and said David create a masterpiece, create a magnum opus, create a piece of work that will go down the musical history and we'll be listening to and assessed and reassessed for all maternity. And David said 'OK mate'.
And here we have a man at the peak of his power, musically supreme, the last three tracks being possibly the best ever last real tracks to appear on any album. Needless to say I like this
Not so much my thing.i like the hits. Basket Case and Welcome To Paradise. They just sound angry on the rest of the songs
Elliott Smith is one of my favourites, but this is not my favourite album. Between the bars, Angeles, Balllad of Big Nothing are my favourite tracks
It is not really my kind of music but elements of it were nice and it was very well crafted. It stood out from the usual R&B format
I can appreciate the guitar playing prowess of Hendrix but great guitar work does not necessarily make great songs. You can get phenomenal singers, but if the songs they're singing are awful that's what matters. All along the watchtower is the standout track, mainly because Hendrix didn't write it. Crosstown traffic is great. I could take or leave the rest
I don't mind some of the music but I can't stand Bruce Dickinson's voice
A classic album with David Bowie production. Nice experimentation in early new wave
This is a ground breaking LP. A true classic
Not a huge jazz fan but this was interesting and intriguing and for people who want to experience music, this is a must listen
What a great record. This and JA debut of superb. A great mix of funk and Rock.
A challenging LP than comes across as indulgent by the artist. It is almost an 'emperors clothes ' album. If you don't understand, you are wrong. Well, I guess I'm wrong
The vulnerability of Buckley's reaches it peak on the epic Hallelujah. This whole LP is a joy, albeit one tainted with tragedy
Having never listened to the Allman brothers before, I found this album quite enjoyable. Some of the tunes are pretty funky, there's a lot of blues going on. Is it an album to listen to before you die? Probably not, but still worth a lesson
Wow...this is so boring. Really concerned that 1001 is just an arbitrary number..Don't list to this unless you have insomnia
Again, when you are obligated to choose 1001 albums, you are perhaps stretched this
There is nothing remarkable about this LP. It's OK.
It's an incredibly well produced album with a message, but I did start to tune out after a while
A very interesting album and very different from the expected Chicago sound. A wide range of styles that seem to indicate the band did not know what they wanted to be. Saying that I found the Cetera song quite boring. Lamm writes better IMHO. Beginnings, Listen are good.i have no clue what Free Form Guitar is for
PJs debut Dry may have been an intense listen but at least it had some warm tones. Rid of me basically removed all the enjoyment and we are left with the musical equivalent of nails down a blackboard. The production is good, the songs are not
