Who's Next by The Who
Jul 21 2026

Sold rock album without the hairband vocals that I hate.

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Jul 22 2026

Dancing music! Love the big band feel and the pace of this music. Outside of my usual genre but that's what's so great about this!

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Jul 23 2026

My favorite Beatle. His solo work is some of my favorite of all time. His guitar has so much feeling to it and his vocals are so natural and real. Some of my favorite songs are the longer, mostly instrumental ones.

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
Jul 24 2026

This was not for me. It made me feel like I should be on drugs, or maybe was on drugs? Overall, the music was a bit grating, and the vocals were kind of boring. A lot of talk-singing, just not my style.

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Jul 27 2026

Not my usual genre, but musically and technically very interesting. It makes me want to dance around like Kristen Wiig impersonating Liza Minelli. Modern music rarely has brass or woodwinds, and Getz on the tenor sax is as smooth as it gets. Samba Triste was absolutely gorgeous.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Jul 28 2026

Some tracks were a little too experimental for me, but overall the album is very unique and interesting. The music style across the album is incredibly varied, which I enjoyed. Appreciate it as a creative musical exploration but not an album I would play on repeate.

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Jul 29 2026

Excellent album. Music doesn't need to be complicated to be good, and this small band plays with feeling. Norah's voice is so unique and smooth. Shoot the Moon is my favorite song on the album.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Jul 30 2026

Debbie Harry is such a badass vocalist. Her tone has an oomph to it that I just love. The music is upbeat, fun and dynamic. Every track on this album is just a bop.

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Aug 03 2026

The music brings modern funk together with bluesy brass, woodwind and guitar in a really cool way. Her voice is powerful and soft when it needs to be with a unique and beautiful tone.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Aug 04 2026

"I want to go down in musical history . . ." and so you shall! Solid album - great lyrics, punchy music, bopping my head the whole time.

Vento De Maio by Elis Regina
Aug 05 2026

Not my usual style of music, but it had some fun tracks. She has a nice voice. I'm not opposed to slower music but a lot of the tracks were a little too slow and wandering for my taste. I just don't think I'm a big fan of bossa nova.

Live At Leeds by The Who
Aug 06 2026

Live performances can really be about the music in a way that a studio album can't quite compete with. I love hearing the musicians just cut loose on guitar or drums and it's always fun to hear the crowd. Feels a bit like time travel.

The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
Aug 10 2026

Fun album to listen to - this is the kind of stuff I like for focus sessions at work.

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Aug 11 2026

I loved this album, I'm very partial to folksy, singer-songwriter style music and this fit the bill! Beautiful music, lyrics and vocals. I felt transported to another time and place - a little cottage in the woods with a cup of tea.

Aug 12 2026

Fun and funky brass, good background music for me at work with a good beat throughout. Not my usual style, but I liked it okay.

The Real Thing by Faith No More
Aug 13 2026

Love this album. Rock focused on guitar and drum solos. Some of the songs got a little hair-bandy on the vocals for me, which is not my fave but overall, very solid album.
