1001 Albums Summary

Instant 90s nostalgia trip from the opening guitars. Most of these songs would fit right in on the soundtrack to a 1990s Batman movie, or an episode of Veronica Mars (the most 1990s coded television show to air in the 2000s?). There's a sameness of affect that makes it hard to tell if I'm listening to one of the big hits I'll recognise when I get to the chorus, or an album track that isn't actually familiar to me, just seems like it is. "As Heaven Is Wide" is a killer title and has some interesting implications when I actually stop to think about the subject matter.

Right from the breezy opening track, this is great. Sounds fresh, excellent bass tone, awesome synth leads, and a powerful energy. Lotsa bops.
