Living Colour just doesn't do it for me. It sounds like the most generic 80's rock with absolutely nothing interesting about it. 1.5/5

I suppose it is ok. Honestly the main attraction is that it isn't english and has a great Latin feel...not sure I would even entertain otherwise. 2/5

Such an amazing album. This is the album that rekindled my enjoyment of hard music. Tunes with energy and an ear for melody...such a great combo. Also an A++ live show. Look forward to seeing what they do in the future! 5/5

I know it's Queen...and Queen is great....but this album is not great. I can't imagine what it would be like to be a Queen head in the mid 70s and be sorrily disappointed in this one after the Night at the Opera Masterpiece. 2.5/5

Decent, although I scratch my itch in this type of music through Go Go Penguin (or even BADBADNOTGOOD). Not unhappy I listened to it. 3/5

My previous experiences with BNL mostly had to do with the live Rock Spectacle album. While a lot of those songs are present on this album, for whatever reason I think they pop more in the live album. That being said, the songcraft and whimsicalness of this album is top notch, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the complete package. 4.5/5

I just don't get it. I know this was one of the most critically heralded albums of 2025, but it was just so BORING. I realize I'm not a poptimist, but nothing about this was even catchy or interesting. 1/5

Man...this fits exactly into what I would describe as "mehester"core circa 1998. As someone who tried to push his high school band in a ska-punk direction (and is from ~ 2 hrs away from Chicago) it is shocking to me I have never heard of Slapstick before today. Great fun tunes. Shame they broke up before really getting started. 4.5/5

Expected TJL to be a little more unlistenable than it ended up being. It wasn't bad, but also nothing I would return to. 2/5

It is atmospheric and moody? Is it anything remarkable in either of those characteristics...no. Great movie, good music, boring stand alone listen. 1.5/5

DARKSIDE is one of those elusive projects...I always really want to love it but it never quite gets above a "huh interesting" for me. 3/5

I am not entirely adverse to Ambient, but this one was just a little too repetitive. Long songs without a lot of variation. Was glad I was reading while listening or I would have lost all attention. 1.5/5

When I see albums like this on this list (especially user submitted) I usually roll my eyes. Most metal of this ilk is so incredibly "samey" that it is always chore to listen to. Not this one. Enjoyed the blend of many different genres...definitely seemed like folk metal. 3.5/5

Blue Album...stone cold killer of a album. Top 10 on my all time list. No skips. Such amazing song writing and production to match. 5/5

Fun album...love SW. Ben is able to take everything that is great about the Ramones and amplify it to an 11. While I listened to far more Boogada at the time, the MBH and onward stuff is just lighter (and ultimately better imo). The song crafting and pop sensibilities are off the chart. 4.5/5

Such a classic. As a pretty big emo fan in circa 2001, I was always aware of American Football but it wasn't something that I ever delved into with any seriousness. Have come to enjoy it much more in the past 5 years. 4/5

To think I was actually excited to give this one a try...nothing catchy about it, just boring, down tempo electro pop (now with choirs!). Almost too self-serious at times. I found myself counting down the minutes until it was over so I could move to something else. 1/5

Really really interesting. Reminds me of Suicide in a way. I was surprised I hadn't had any exposure to it in the past but really glad I know it now. 4/5

Birdhouse in your Soul is always such an earworm for me....great song. While I don't love TMBG the same as many others of my age, I have grown to appreciate them more in recent years. 4/5

While note my favorite Decemberists album, certainly a fun one (prefer all 4 proceeding albums by a significant margin). I don't know if I fully appreciated this album until I saw them perform it live. I think the overall structure suffers a little bit from them trying to force the cohesive theme and rock opera elements, but certainly pockets of great songmanship. Love The Rake Song. 4/5

So many times I have listened to this album trying to love it. This last listen was probably my favorite. While I don't think I will ever embrace the screaming, the drone-gazey background and interesting music structure make this a solid album. I also saw them open for another band in the past year...great show!! 4/5

Really bad. I appreciate the musicianship, but the songs are incredibly boring. Prog is hit or miss with me, and metal is pretty much a miss with me, so I guess prog x metal = double miss for me. 1.5/5

I feel like this album is only included as some sort of weird social experiment to see how bad can an album be but we can still make people listen to it. This is nothing more than an overproduced poor man’s emo tinged Linkin Park. 1/5

Is it possible that this album could be underrated at this point? Just a great collection of innovative and fun songs. By no means are POTUSOA the most talented musicians (if I remember they may only even use 3 strings on the guitar! and fewer on bass!) but they make it up with pure attitude. Great addition to the list! 4.5/5

I really love some of the Breeders output, however I don't feel it holds up across full albums most of the time. Last Splash is no different...the highs are extremely high, but some of the middles really drag on. 3.5/5

Was able to cobble this one together from various sources. Decent enough...surprised that they are so unknown in the US despite their relative "bigness" in the UK where my only previous understanding was from a Teenage Fanclub lyric. Fun songs. 3/5
