Cool punk album. It's these hidden gems that I keep following this list for
Great punk/garage rock album, I like the Australian accent of singer Amy Taylor. Sounds a bit like Sprints; lots of energy. In retrospect it was a bad decision by me to skip their performance at Best Kept Secret Festival in 2024.
Heck of a band name. This would be a great satirical name for a banker bro and his entourage of coke head cronies. Either way this modern Australian punk band does what’s been done for decades but with a modern twist on the instrumentals. The singer has a rather unique voice that I found hard to enjoy for a whole album. This album is alright but for all the punk out there this doesn’t pass the smell test. 4.8/10
I don't really like this kind of DIY garage punk. It feels soulless and void of content. The music is passable, but her voice is fucking grating. Maybe it's not something international audiences will understand, but this is the voice of so many absolute bottom-feeding Aussie women it just makes me want to vomit. I get she's doing it semi-ironically, but it's just disgusting. Until you've been abused by a few of these women in regional town pubs for no reason, you might just think it's a quaint, Aussie girl Johnny Rotten impression. But go hang out in the smoking area of a working-class Aussie pub, play the pokies and chat to a few of the seedier-looking people, and all of a sudden this won't seem so endearing and fun. And naturally the Aussie media, the ABC in particular, worships the ground they walk on. Not because the music is any good; the ABC doesn't judge music on how it sounds. They push it because there's a loud, abrasive woman singing, and that will appeal to their preferred customers on an ideological level. And piss conservative types off, who will (rightly, but pointlessly) claim that the ABC/JJJ intentionally pushes shitty music for political reasons. Anyone who just wanted to rock out a bit loses out, sadly. And their taxes have to pay for it to boot. Anyway, this sucks. And so do the Chats. 2/5.

I was pretty sure I was not going to enjoy a group called “Amyl and The Sniffers” when this rolled out… and I was proven wrong. Fantastic, fun punk music with a kick ass female lead singer. Didn’t see this coming!
LOUD SHITTY AUSTRALIA GIRL PUNK FOR PRESIDENT
Never heard of this band but I'm a huge fan. Thank you to the hero who added this album.
Grimy Aussie punk
Another pretty straight forward neo punk album. A bit fuller sounding but the 70s punk spirit is still there. I liked this one.
Came across them with their newest record. I hadn’t listened to this one yet so it was good to hear. Nice to hear a current band with something interesting in their sound.
Badass
I liked everything about this except I do get tired of this vocal type - that near-monotone yawp, though I know it's the style of this kind of rock. Unfailing energy behind it though, solid lyrically, and rocked very hard with some actually stellar guitar work. And kept that punk trick of keeping almost everything brief enough that nothing has the chance to wear that thin.
It's like a punk version of Courtney Barnett. Love it. 4 stars.
Heard of this band a few times, but this is my first time listening, proper modern punk band, helped with a great female vocalist. Great addition to the list.
I've been a fan of Amyl and Co. for a while now, but hadn't gotten around to giving their sophomore LP a proper listen. While not as ferocious as their debut, this album still has a fair share of the kick-your-teeth-in energy that's defined the band from the start, distorted guitar with a sense for melody underlining Amyl's unforgiving vocal callouts. Out of all the bands that have come out of the recent Aussie punk resurgence, these guys have been the standouts to me – not every album has been a winner, but they have such a distinct sonic signature and clearly do whatever they please and I respect it.

Punk rock. Ni fu ni fa.
Good stuff. Musically this treads no new ground, but it's lean, energetic and fun to listen to. Fave Songs: Choices, Don't Fence Me in, Guided by Angels, Freaks to the Front
