1001 Albums Summary

4/5. Heard it before but a few great tracks on this debut. Kayleigh and Andy did karaoke to Psycho Killer.

Apart from Fairytale in NY I really can’t get into the vast majority. Too much fiddle.

Never listened to it in full before and the lyrics are great. Played about 4 times in the day and whilst it wasn’t ideal for the gym it was perfect at other times.

Despite this hitting the skip when I was a kid and the row that ensued, I am not convinced I heard the second side of this, not as much as the first side. Some amazing tunes and some of the tracks touch on almost electronic status.

Heard it a hundred times.

Of its time. Nothing bad about it, but not my thing and not a patch on what they became a few years down the line.

Very 70s. A lot of over production. It’s ok, but no desire to hear it again.

Too abrasive for me. It’s a challenging listen.

Good “adult pop” I guess. Very 80’s sounding and a bit of filler. Faith is a banger though obviously.

Enjoyable hip-hop, takes me back!

Blues by the beards. Bit less boogie than I expected which was a positive thing.

It’s catchy but the lyrics are terrible.

Bit of the boss. Actually a lot better listened to as a whole than just the singles. Better than expected but still a bit too heartland rock to be something I really think I’ll dig back into again.

Couple of old school classics but it’s a bit heavy as a full length LP

Little twangy but the right side of country for me. Maybe a tiny bit long at over an hour.

More of a summer album. It’s ok, better than the cover suggested.

Took me back briefly, and not as hardcore as I remember. Strangely started to find it good for zoning out and relaxing.
