The album is alright, I definitely prefer the faster/more upbeat songs compared to their slower songs. Their voice doesn't really catch me for slower songs. Songs like "Gimme Shelter" and the faster part of "Midnight Rambler" is what I enjoy versus the slower style of "Country Tonk" or "Live With Me". Also you can tell this album is from the 60's from its excessive use of having sounds in only one ear.

I like this album. Old school country is pretty good, and I like Cash's singing. The songs in the album are a weird mix of sad/melancholy and humor. Unsurprisingly a lot of songs about prison in a performance at a prison.

Normally I review albums based on how much I like the songs in the album, but this album is different. Not too say I didn't like listening to this album, but damn it hit me hard about all the issues that were mentioned that we're still struggling with 30+ years later. Listening to this album made me sit back and contemplate things, which I have to give a high rating for.
As for the actual music, I like it. The beats are nice and the flow of the rapper is smooth. The big issue I would say is that the album is too long. Even though I enjoy the songs, songs felt like they overstayed their welcome and it was hard getting through the entire album imo.

This album is ok. Maybe I got too excited seeing The Velvet Underground, because they're a beloved band to many, but this album was just kinda boring to me. The songs were kinda boring, and those that weren't boring were weird sounding, which is just as bad. Overall, not my taste. 1.5/5

Worst song: The Murder Mystery
This album is decent, each song has parts of it I like and parts I don't like, so they even each other out. Alice Cooper's voice is unique, both in a good way and a bad way depending on the song. The guitars and backing music I felt were the most consistent part of the album and were always good, but didn't carry most songs. 2.5/5

This album is decent. I much preferred The Lyre of Orpheus to Abattoir Blues; the main singer's slam poetry-esque style of mostly talking with a little singing fit the more melancholy style of The Lyre of Orpheus than the more upbeat Abattoir Blues. This singing style grew on me over the course of the album, but I still prefer regular singing over this style. I definitely thing the backup singers and especially the instrumentals carried this album though. 3/5

Worst song: Hiding All Away (really exemplifies when this singing style goes wrong and the instrumental can't carry the song enough)
This is a good album. I had only listened to Hotel California before, and I still think it's the best song on the album, but the rest of the songs on the album are also really good. The album didn't completely wow me though, and I can't put into words why. 4/5

I did not like this album. I hated the singer's half-singing half-slam poetry style, and the only thing carrying me through this album was the funky and groovy backing instruments. So the songs that didn't have good backing instrumentation were terrible. I feel like I needed to be high in order to enjoy this album, but I was not, and so I didn't. 2/5

I didn't really like this album. Maybe since I don't listen to a lot of country music, but it feels like they only wrote 1 slow song and 1 fast song and then just played a slight variation of those songs 5 times each and called it an album. I don't hate country music, but I got bored listening to this album since the songs all sound so similar. George Jones's singing voice is good though. 2/5.

This album is pretty good. This is the first time I listened to Elvis and he does have a great singing voice. I like both the slow songs and fast songs, which normally doesn't happen, but there were still some meh settings I didn't enjoy. Overall it's a decent album, didn't blow me away but didn't hate it. 3/5

I enjoyed this album. I already enjoy a few Elton John songs, and this album is no different. It's a nice slow rock/pop rock kind of album. I enjoyed most of the songs on the album, but nothing really stood out to me like "wow". 4/5
Favorite song: Madman Across The Water
Worst song: All The Nasties
I love this album. Queen is an amazing band, and they really show their skills in this album. I love how songs transition from slow and quiet to fast and loud and back again without feeling jarring. I also love when albums seamlessly transition between songs. The only thing holding me back from giving this album a full 5/5 is The Loser In The End, which I didn't particularly enjoy. Every other song is great. 4.5/5

This album is ok. I'm not the biggest SOAD fan, but I enjoy some of their songs, and this album is no exception. There's only a couple of songs that I enjoy, and all the other songs are either too screamy or just have some weird noises going on that I don't like. But when SOAD hits, it really hits. I'll keep listening to the couple songs I like, and won't touch the rest of the album. 2/5

I think this album is ok. It's good background music, but I don't think I'd put it on unless I just want something to fill the silence. Nothing too memorable for me. 2/5

I liked this album. Queen Latifah has some nice flow to her rapping and the beats were good. My main issue with some of the songs were the weird intros and outros, which kinda ruined some of the songs. But overall it was enjoyable. 3.5/5
