Lots of sounds. Lots of guitars going wah-wah-waaaooooowwwww!!!
2.5
4.7. This album slapped me in the face with its funky baselines and electric organ. Idk what I thought the doors sounded like but this was not it. Jared and I strutted down the city sidewalks to the beat. I plan on doing some more struttin on 2nd listen today.
I’m pretty sure this album was made entirely using the pre-set beats and kooky sounds on the keyboard synthesizer I used in Mr. Clausen’s 3rd grade music class. the groove and chill vibes were there tho. 2.5 stars for easy listening 🍃🌲✌🏻
Aside from being extremely ahead of its time on the issue of climate change, this album didn’t do it for me. Some songs had super corny lyrics, and honestly as soon as the song about feet (????) came on I was too confused to take it seriously.
Makes me feel nostalgia for an era of hip hop I wasn’t even around for. Lots of energy, lots of ‘yeaaa boiiiiii’s from flava flav which is exactly what I needed. 3.7/5

I loved this album. Listened on the plane after taking some NyQuil and it helped me peacefully drift off the sleep. 4/5
Typically I don’t look at the group’s reviews before listening or writing my own, but this time I accidentally saw the dismally low rating yall gave this album before I listened. tbh I was pleasantly surprised. Some poorly written lyrics but I didn’t hate the sound. However the deluxe edition went on for an extra hour so by the end I was begging for it to be over so we end up with a low rating after all. 2/5
I had a lot of fun listening to this album. Short and sweet with lots of little guitar and keyboard solos. Some dank chamber music interludes as well. 4/5
this album gives me kids-jumping-around-in-a-bouncy-house vibes. At times the repetition got old but for the most part it was one of the most fun albums I’ve heard so far
I found myself rolling my eyes at a lot of the lyrics - sexual innuendos abound - and vocals sound like a wailing cat but the classics are classics so 2 stars for that
One listen through and some googling left me wanting to learn more about this band and the cultural context. Loved the intimidating chanting and bullfrog vocals 3/5
I would have reeaally liked this without the vocals 2/5
The vibe of the early 2000s. I never listened to much Coldplay, the hits are nostalgic and his voice is actually really beautiful but most of the songs were kinda blah. 3/5
Excellent from start to finish, listened 2.5 times yesterday and for sure will listen again 4.5/5
Feeling pretty lukewarm about this album. There were good parts and some parts that irritated me which all averaged out to “alright”. 2.7/5
Disco gives me life. I already had several song from this album saved, now I got to fill in the blanks. 4.5/5
Sitar covers of classic rock hits…not something I would choose for myself but I respect the fact that it exists
Beautiful and calming. Put me right to sleep on the train 4/5
3.5/5
Golden Years earns this entire review
Hungry like the wolf slaps but it’s the only thing this album has going for it 2.2/5
A mix of a lot of different styles coming together in a cohesive and enjoyable way. Loved it 4/5 + extra points for intentional stuttering
I found this album so boring, and that boredom transformed into irritation. It’s hard to explain. I just couldn’t stand it. I realize that this is objectively pleasant music so feel free to disagree but this was one of my least faves 1/5 sorry jare ❤️
This album had me so confused start to finish. I checked 3 times within the first song that the artist really was The Bee Gees. Song about having an orphanage full of 35 kids really threw me for a loop, followed by an ode to Thomas Edison. Then a symphony to close it all out. Idk what to say about all this but I guess 2.7/5
Interesting with so many dif sounds and felt very ahead of it’s time 4/5
Having never listened to Metallica before I didn’t know what to expect but I actually really enjoyed listening to this 3.7/5
~ The Wiggles do house music ~ Goofball lyrics with fun beats and silly sounds
Never listened to kiss and was surprised how upbeat their music is. I think every single song was just generally about Rock and Roll music. I think it’s cute how much they love it. Overall an adorable little album 2.5/5
I feel like my dad would love this 3.5/5
Extremely corny and melodramatic and way too smooth jazz at times but you can tell he really put a lot of heart into it 🥲 1.7/5
A few excellent songs including one about me so I’ll give it a 3.2/5
Listened to this a lot in college, loved it then and now 4/5
One of my most listened to albums thanks to a handful of Beatles albums being loaded onto my first iPod by my friend’s brother back in the day. An excellent album but as Bill Hader said I could do without the Balinese stuff 4.5/5
Aside from a couple hits, I didn’t love this album. Surprised me considering bc Demon Days is one of my all time faves. I think I like the more hip hop influences gorillaz that came later 3/5
Really enjoyed this one. Fun sound and a wide variety of styles mixed together 4/5
I feel like this band would be way more fun to play in than to listen to. Also interesting how Scottish folk music can sound so much like American folk music. Lots of fiddle…too much fiddle 2/5
They really know how to rock 2.7/5
I wish I had started listening to bjork years ago, loved it 4.3/5
I would describe his singing style as both incredibly smooth and somewhat unhinged 4/5
Altogether not great 1.5/5
I like Frank Sinatra but have listened to too much of his music to in my life to be really stoked on it now 3.5/5
Nice and twangy classic country. Something very pleasant about the sound of old country music but why they gotta talk about killing their wives so much 3/5
I gotta be honest I really didn’t like it 1/5
Longest album ever but it didn’t get boring. Had me hootin and hollerin 4/5
A little less boring than I thought it would be but still kind of boring 2/5
I loved it then I love it now 4.75/5
Raspy but good to nap to 2.5/5
Strange and entertaining 2.5/5
I actually liked most of it 3.7/5
Why Cee lo why did you do this 1/5
I listened to this one many times as a youngster and this was the first time I realized that I dont really like it 2/5
Somehow I thought this band was from the mid 2000s my bad 2.5/5
First half I didn’t love possibly d/t some anti 90s prejudice but by the end I really started to enjoy it 3.75/5
I don’t love every song but I respect how unique it all is 2.75/5
I’m sorry Jared its just too much harmonica sometimes 2.5/5
I almost never do this but 5/5
At first it was nice but I slowly started to feel like I was listening to the music from the full house theme song paired with annoyingly cute and overly poetic lyrics and I just didn’t like it 1.5/5
Love those harmonies. Good vibrations is one of the happiest sounds to my ears 3.75/5
Very nice, makes me feel like I’m in a classy restaurant 3.5/5
Idk why but to me arcade fire’s music always sounds like it’s made in a post apocalyptic society. I think its because I was reading Hunger Games back when I first listened to the Suburbs album 2.5/5
Hit after hit. Baselines so groovy I ignored the little squeaks and oohs and aahs that once bothered me enough to think I didn’t like MJs music 4/5
I’ve listened to that one song a million times but the rest didn’t really sound like anything to me 2/5
Dancing queen and Fernando could earn a 5/5 on their own in my opinion but sadly they were dragged down 2 stars by I Kissed The Teacher 3/5
It was fine. Good guitar playing 3/5
Comforting and uplifting 3.7/5
Smooooth 80s sounds of the 90s 2/5
Wild and weird and fun and I loved learning that our very own Susie rahn owns this album and is an OG Sparks fan 3/5
A neat perfect album in my opinion 4.5/5
They really know how to rock out 2/5
One of those albums that didn’t sound like anything to me the first time I listened, but now that I’ve heard it a bunch of times over the years it’s hard to believe I didn’t realize how great it was that first time. Very nostalgic and sentimental feelings from these sounds 3.75/5
Another near perfect album that fails to get old and remains interesting every time I listen 4.8/5
So fun and lovely. Shocking news: dusty was born and raised in London!! 4.5/5
Not my usual genre and I don’t think I would feel the same way had I not listened to this album many times as a child but as it is I really enjoy 4/5
Pleasant, uplifting, classics 4/5
The rest of the songs couldn’t really compete with the gloriousness of Baba O Reilly 2.7/5
