1001 Albums Summary

Listened to this one a couple times already, just minted.

This album absolutely shocked me, I have always been around Bowie's music but this is just front to back brilliance. The funk, the groove, the ever-present reverb/distortion on the guitars. Just brilliant, his vocals are impeccable...

Pretty typical stones honestly, sounded like that classic rock and roll with folkier elements. A good listen. A lot of more obscure songs to their discography.

Before: excited After: you can tell it was made before the times that albums generically flowed together and had a few key themes. This album starts fast before jumping to slow and repeats this for most of the album. Wonderful covers and I will always love his voice.

Isn't this shit like 6 hours? (That's the deluxe version). ITS 2 HOURS ANYWAY!!! Had a novel wank listening to this album, was fun, came right as they reached the revelation that they were a rat in a cage. They're playing near me in the next month and it's really unfortunate that I couldn't get tickets, because these guys are mental (a good thing).

Contains nearly the most iconic song of the 2000s, this makes a pretty good album to support that.

I have many a story from my Step-Mum of clubbing where this band's music is heavily involved. Don't usually listen to drum and bass but hard to say I didn't enjoy myself listening to this.

They're just sort of an Oasis clone honestly, cool... but generic.

Doors are a vibe. Love Jim Morrison's voice eternally.

This is an amazing album, the vibes are immaculate and I love their sound. I am currently working on an assignment so the chill of this is exactly what I'm after right now.

Love it, it's odd but I love her commentary towards the end of each track. Women feel like an endangered species in hip hop and this chick is awesome.

Only love for the beatles, this is still in their era of doing more covers than originals but I loved their more poppy spins on the classics

Ethereal, though slow and feels repetitive.

I enjoyed this, it was very calm and chill while I did some work.

Love, love, love. Paul Simon will forever have my calmed down heart, I know Me and Julio word for word and have done for ages now. 4 stars.

Long, but I love the early English alt sound

Holy shit. This is gooooood. A bizarre statement or love letter to something or other but it goes so hard. Loved all the titles, made it that bit more fun.

ITS THE HILLTOP HOODS SONG!!! Genuinely a pretty good album, I acknowledge they're a definite Beatles clone and half of these songs are covers, but it's a good sound.

I like Jazz, but this sort of grates on me. 2 stars

Actually a banger

Fuck yeah, never listened to this and surprised that their debut actually came out in '95, I always imagine them as starting on the turn of the millennium.

My love for Bowie is through the roof, this album has Life on Mars which is just the best to belt out, his vocals are on point. Brought down in small part by limited notoriety of other hits on here, but amazing regardless

This might be my physics teacher's favourite Radiohead album. That's irrelevant, but this is a cool album.

HOLY SHIT YES YES YES. I wrote a short story on Bossa Nova last year and throughout the whole time was just listening to Jobim and Gilberto, mwah. Love Sinatra so this will be amazing. IT OPENS WITH GAROTTA DE IPANEMA OFC!!!

I fucking loved this album, gave John Martyn vibes and was oh so chill

This may be the easiest 5 stars I'll hand out... there is no surprise that this is the best selling album ever with 'Beat It', 'Bille Jean', and 'PYT' to name three.

This feels odd to say but this album feels like the lounge music of hip hop. It's laid back and relaxed.

I absolutely adore this album, my godfather loves The Boss more than anyone and I've picked up his penchant for him.
