1001 Albums Summary

Haven’t listened to a whole album of their stuff before, it’s amazing how big they sound consistently

This may be my favorite album I’ve listened to so far. It hits such a sweet spot of folk and psychedelia that I love from this era. Him and Donovan were certainly powerhouses of this genre

I think they would go onto have stronger albums than this. It’s a good starter place for their sound, really heavy, but nothing I would go super crazy to see live.

Underwater rimes is such a fun song to listen to, but this album just felt too long for what it was. I’m a bit too young for this early hip-hop, and that’s fine

Very fun to coast through, enjoyed it mostly while doing things instead of purely sitting and listening

An incredible blues album. Only reason it’s not higher is because I know he has better albums, but there are some real gems in here

This is the second DJ album I’ve gotten this week and honestly I think the first one is better and more dynamic. However, the technicality should definitely be appreciated for this one

Cute little Bossa-nova record that made my heart happy with the cover of “You didn’t have to be so nice”. Not complicated and not trying to break any boundaries, just a good listen
