Original singer of "Son of a Preacher Man". Sound is iconic late 60s early 70s white lady in a nice way.

A lot of great songs - I remembered most of the album. Been many years so a delightful reminder of how awesome Marvin Gaye has always been. Many used in movies, so will be familiar to most people.

I'm checking the book out from the library to try and figure out why this album is on the list. I get that it was unique by only using tracksvalready recorded, but it was painful to listen to at times. Did he use a sound effects album on this?

PJ Harvey could make "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" sound deliciously haunting.

A fantastic blend of comfort and weird in every song.

Great harmonies while instrumental purposely sounding a little rough. I see why so many people mention this group. This was a delightful trip and I will add to my rotation.

Ah. So this is where "The Girl From Ipanema" came from. A short album with 2 versions of the song.

Interesting blend of heavy with classical. I love the band, and appreciate the art project.

A more "modern" Fleetwood Mac at the time, but still sounds like Fleetwood Mac. Some songs had a lot of radio play.

It's okay. I liked their Brit pop better but I'm old.

Psychedelic hard rock. Solid vocals, would have loved this as a teen.
