The Velvet Underground & Nico
The Velvet UndergroundFine. Early Wes Anderson slow motion vibes.

good stuff. \"where is my mind\" feels like it was made with a lot more care and effort.
Good, a little repetitive. Top marks for Al Tchere Bele. Struck me as an odd inclusion to this list.
I don’t really enjoy the breathy faux crooning style and i feel like this was one of the main influences of every girl trying to sing this way. Also boring.
I enjoyed the melody of the songs and the loud stum of the guitars. In general though its too amateurish.
Meh.
Liked, didn't love. Zone out kind of vibes.
Lets go! Easily the best album so far. The only one that has felt like a true album. Guitars, bass and drums are off the charts crisp. Best guitar song is “Reelin in the Years” but the solo on Midnight cruising was a head turner as well.
BBs walked so Lonely Island could run.
🤮🤮🤮
Easy to listen to, great oldies/motown production, very solid voice.
Decent. Good early 2000’s hip hop. Better flow than Kanye with a similar vibe
Bad ass.
Every song starts off really promisingly, but then the vocalist starts singing.
Possibly the best 80s album, GM was untouchable here.
Not iconic Cure, but i enjoyed this
Love it.
Pedro Navaja I gather is like a hispanic Mack The Knife…
Another decent instrumental album kind of spoiled by horrible singing
Nine Inch Nails is the flipside of this coin i feel. Its funny that all the songs i knew were my least favorite ones on this listen. Still not a Radiohead fan but some of this is interesting.
I don't think anyone could argue this isn’t absolute peak Cure. Sound is instantly recognizable and hits very well.
Thats a lot of Django. For my money, this is a skip and a half.
Im imagining Deep Purple and The Doors but so high on acid that they lost the ability to play their instruments
Put this on and go to sleep.
My favorite era for ZZTop. Hits are icons, and the rest are just as rocking. Billy Gibbons and the blues pentatonic scale are a match made in heaven. Perfect for when you want to spend the evening at a smoky pool hall and cut loose
Something so pure about this era of The Who. No frills, no prog production bullshit, just absolute rockers.
Pleasant.
I mean… its a classic.
Golden Years is my favorite Bowie song, and the songs here are great. Probably not the apex of his career but a great album nonetheless
In the Ghettooo He's the boy wearing orange who’s losing his pride Cause kenny and his whole family resides In The Ghettoooooo
“You either die the hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” By some accounts the last truly big rock album, and it is still an awesome listen with raucous energy and ear worm hooks. This is ‘sold out’ Green Day, but it’s first-line-obituary material as well. kind of wild to hear 2005 anti propaganda lyrics from BJA now given what he’s crystallized into. Lol
A bit dry, but not unpleasant. Didnt really stand out in my mind.
This was not my cup of moon tea.
If you like Jack White, you will like this Jack White album.
“Attention all planets of the Solar Federation: We have assumed control.” Classic Rush concept album. Not my favorite but undeniably prog with lots of Who and Led Zep influence.
I always chuckle at how mainstream Eminem has become over the years, to the point where his music (maybe not lyrics) are featured over sports broadcasts by Disney owned affiliates whenever a Detroit team is playing. This album is dark and twisted but also impressive and self-aware.
Nothing to say. This is an incredible album.
One Boomer Album to rule them all
Is this the best Talking Heads album?
Enjoyed the atmospheric stuff a lot. Not as big a fan of Thom Yorke vox in it. Just not my thing
Kinda neat, fans of Kate Bush may like this. I didn’t hate it
Idk. This was pretty unexceptional all around. Scratching my head at this one
Quagmire: After all, what was Simon without Garfunkel? Peter: IDK, wildly successful?
Really nice blended vocals. A bit on the lighter side, but pleasant.
😴😴😴
This is Steely Dan at their most virtuosic. These are rockers with noodly solos on every song showcased in the driving grooves. My Old School finally delivers the catchy pop hooks that sound like their later albums
U2: 2. Almost a second act of sorts for the 80’s band. A major inflection point for their style. This is their best album. Full stop.
Pleasant. Sandlot vibes
I remember in 2008, really hating this when I first heard it, along with the whole genre this represents. 18 years later, I still hate it.
eq’ed really poorly, but when its cooking it sizzles.
Had never listened to this before. Now I can see the plain copy that Barbara Jean was from Nashville. All of her songs sound exactly like Dolly.
Way too much Radiohead on this list… 4/50 albums so far have been radio head…
Goddamn it
Odd but not terrible
Jimi Hendrix: deceased, drugs. Janis Joplin: deceased, alcohol. Mama Cass: deceased, ham sandwich.
pretty by the numbers early 'Stones
Bob Dylan at his most Punk. I like this a lot! I just got done watching "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid" and was definitely Dylan'ed out by all of that, but this was honestly a tonic to that!
I can dig this.
Sgt Peppers can be felt throughout this album
Such a good era for music (late 70s early 80s) where even lesser bands and more obscure artists sound awesome
A true rocker
Snooze
Sounds more like new wave than disco or aor of its day. Pretty surprised by how much I liked it
Not a fan. Idk, strikes me as artificial at best, phony at worst. No where near Cash’s best.
A clear bridge from the Hard Days Night era to the Sgt Pepper era. Songs are juicier and take bigger risks. Songwriting is more differentiated between the two mains.
A good monday track to wake up to: “Welcome to the Working Week”
Was it just me or did EVERY song sound the same?
Wasnt into this. Sounded like a sesame street segment.
Pretty great live album. Good energy
Songs from an American Eagle dressing room. Never been a fan of this style of indie (throw the Strokes in this bucket too). Strikes me as an odd inclusion on the list.
Wtf man This aint it.
Nice, but I’ll probably pass on this.
Liked this a lot. A Leonard Cohen, Simon and Garfunkel contemporary
Short and sweet!
Not MIAs best album but its the one with Paper Planes…
Not my favorite PG album, but easily my favorite PG album cover. Elite.
Actually really dig this
Fine, but was not expecting this on the list, like at all
The deep cuts here are really good. Paradise City and Welcome to the Jungle are stone cold classics. Sweet Child o Mine remains a great riff but a subpar song in my opinion. GNR to me is a late 80s, Motley Cru version of Aerosmith, which is a good combo.
Runnnnn toooooo theeee hilllllllllls!!!!! 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Love love love this album
Not for me. There are much better prog albums, and much better Who albums
Gonna catch flack for this but i don’t like this era dylan much at all.
Amy could probably listen to this at work. Definitely a prelude to the lo-fi focus beats that Youtube has in droves now.
😐
Might be a hair better than Thriller… don’t @me
Low key slaps
