Very interesting btw how I've noticed a lot of folk in the reviews denouncing N.W.A.'s misogyny and homophobia - much more than on any other album with similar content. Also a lot of people saying they hate rap and barely gave this a go. Looks a lot like thinly veiled racism to me!
Will never for a second stand for misogyny or homophobia, I'm a queer femme person, but I will ALSO not stand for people using outrage as a tool to be racist/colourist. Don't use me as an excuse for your prejudice

Listened to this once, and then later when I had some things to do around the house I thought I should listen to it again. The good news is that you can listen to it twice in one day without it getting annoying. The bad news is that's because it's so forgettable, that you're barely aware you've listened to it twice.

I've never listened to Justice before and had no idea what to expect. I've never really listened to electronic/dance music, so this was very new to me.
This is such a nice change amongst the sea of classic dad rock that makes up a lot of this project. Don't get me wrong, I love some dad rock, but it's great to listen to other genres - never would have listened to this otherwise. And what a treat

I think I remember my dad introducing me to Blondie. What I definitely remember is not knowing that Blondie were a band, and thinking that that was just Debbie Harry's real name. It should be tbh. Iconic.

this was a super cool concept, but not sure how much I loved it. The most interesting bits were when the samples were very evident, and the samples of interviews etc. I found the rest was a bit background noisy unfortunately

My second '90s instrumental album that clocks in at just over 1 hour in two days.....
Think I prefer this one? No clue though
Some really fun things here. A fun mix of genres. Listened to this while watering my houseplants and doing some needlepoint embroidery. Felt correct. Not sure I'd go back and listen to it again, but not mad that I've heard it.

Standouts are deffo the singles. One of the most recognisable sounds of our time. Incredible to have come up with that on a debut album - where do you go from there??!
Not quite as keen on the rest of the tracks, but I did like Pieces of What, Of Moons, Birds & Monsters, and Future Reflections. Not as much! But that's a high bar
I decided I wanted to give this a 4 pretty much before it started. If I'm being objective it's probably a high 3, but I'm giving it some extra credit because the singles are BANGERS thank you

I always enjoy listening to The Smashing Pumpkins much more than I think I will. Wasn't looking forward to two hours of this but actually had a v nice time
Don't know if I'll listen to the whole album back to front again, but not mad that I heard it.
I was reorganising my kitchen at the same time, so the songs added to my playlist weren't really done with much thought. Would have added more, I liked more than those four songs, but my hands were full !
Kitchen looks great now btw, my recipe books are finally out on display instead of hidden in a cupboard

When I was like, 8 or 9 I realised that I didn't like Walk This Way. I think it was when I was watching Racing Stripes at a friend's house, which very much dates this story. I haven't thought about Racing Stripes since then, and I'm not mad about it. I was REALLY upset when Girls Aloud and the Sugababes covered Walk This Way for Comic Relief.
I really feel like I should add Walk This Way to my playlist, but I can't bring myself to do it.

I feel like I should give this at least a 3, come on, it's David Bowie! But I've had three Bowie albums in this project so far, and each one of them I've wanted to like more than I actually do. And I think this is my least favourite of the bunch
2.5, with at least one of those points for Heroes (the song) alone

about 12 years ago I saw someone write something like "saying Coldplay is your favourite band is like saying your favourite colour is beige" and oh boy ! that's stuck with me
Honourable mention to the kiss cam at that Coldplay concert catching that cheating CEO
I hadn't heard most of this, and I didn't mind listening to this at all. I also liked the bonus track, which I'd obviously never heard. Sure, it's a bit beige, a bit dull, but that's fine

I really respect Jack White as a musician AND this album started off so well that I was convinced it was going to be at least a 4, but it lost me somewhere along the way and I'm not sure why.
Might check out some of The White Stripes' later stuff and see how that sits, but I wasn't blown away by this unfortunately.

The first half of the album especially difficult to get through. It wasn't necessarily grating, just bad.
I was feeling slightly more generous about this album and then we got to the alternate american metaphysical circus. HORRID. One star for that alone
