The DoorsA favourite album for many years. classics with great interaction of the instruments.

Very laid back and funky
Classic alternative rock album. I'm not always in the mood for the "mopey" lyrics but the bouncy jangly rock is always good to look at that.
I love a couple of the songs and enjoy the funky vibe of the rest.
I couldn't find this album on Apple Music, so I listened to the Essentials playlist. I band I had never heard of before that this suggestion has made me decide to listen to more to them.
I was surprised how much I liked it, I was expecting heavier as Deep Purple are one of the British heavy metal stalwarts. Talented musicians, good solo's and rocking tunes.
I never quite took to this album back in the day and while I liked it listening again now I'm still not a big fan. I like some of the other PiL stuff better. I think it is the music that interests me more now, since I listen to more dub these days. I agree its probably before its time, even the precursor for a lot of music that has followed.
Not my thing at all. While I can appreciate the musical talent I'm not captured by the stories or the overall mood. This one on the list doesn't inspire me to investigate Scott Walker. I'd rather listen to David Silvian in this space......
An old favourite I almost didnβt listen too. Glad I did reminded me how much I love it!!
Classic Bowie with some of his best songs
fun punky album that's still quite accessible
Very much enjoyed this album, I'll be taking some time to check out her other albums.
some cool African drumming and melodies, nothing grabbed me as outstanding
This album didnβt capture me on my first listens like ok computer, this one (like Kid A) are more slow burns. I like them more and more as I listen to them.
as rock and roll as it gets
Sir Paul, one of the greatest song writers and musicians of all time!!! He demonstrates his skills across a wide range of instruments and delivers a couple of absolutely outstanding songs. If it had a few more stunners I'd give it a five, but he's set such a high standard even better than average falls behind his best......
didn't do much for me
Music ok, subject totally sus
Hereβs where all the post punk really startsβ¦.. I like JuJu better, this is just them all learning to play. Shows some of the coming brilliance and many things that get copied later.
too chaotic for me, not sure I'd even go to the trouble of taking acid to enjoy this. Credit for the musicianship but it does fell like a "look how well I can play everything" set rather than an album of songs. I'd rather listen to king gizzard & the lizard wizard for my eclectic prog rock experiences.
Enjoyed this very much. I've listening to their more popular albums more, but think I missed how good this one is.
My favourite pink Floyd album
Fantastic voice, great rhythms but not my thing
A couple of great stand out songs, the rest pretty meh
nothing startling to me first listen
A couple of classic songs, the rest meh
Looking back now, many better grunge albums than this....
Can certainly see how this influenced a lot after this.
Jangly guitar melody pop. Pleasant enough just not stunning.
Very Elvis Costello, no stand-out tracks to me but an album I'll be listening to more
I'd only heard the hits when this came out. I like the funky layering of bass, synths and guitars. More to it than I originally gave it credit for.
not my cup of tea all all, better rap artists out there in my opinion
Lighter and more lively than the subsequent Massive Attack albums. Groovy soulful beats, lovely voices on great rhythm and bass.
Lots of fantastic songs. I was just going to rate it from my many listens in the past but I decided to revisit it to be sure. Glad I did, as I listened to the deluxe version with many great extra tracks too. My favourite u2 album!
Back in the day, I loved an annual university showing of The Wall where we all rocked up, some completely out of their faculties. These days I prefer several other Pink Floyd albums over this one.......
Pleasant enough, very much like listening to the flaming lips, but of course this is where that sound really come from. Got me interested enough to check out some of their other albums.
Came through on the day after Ozzyβs deathβ¦β¦ great album, the music and themes tie together well. This is heralded as one of the first heavy metal albums but I like it a lot better than most metal.
probably need to listen in a focused way, maybe even with headphones to get fully try and appreciate it. Some nice melodies but I had it on while I was doing other things and it faded into the back ground 2 plays through.......
Iβve loved this album for years. Even though I hadnβt listened to it for a while, still a masterpiece in my mind.
I love Peter Gabriel's early albums but prefer 2,3 & 4 (Scratch, Melt and Security) over this one. I like many of the songs but Car never quite hooked me like the others. Still some fantastic songs and great examples of his superb voice, song and lyric writing. I enjoyed revisiting this for today's listen and it's reminded me to listen to more PG all around.
Great album, the live tour was fantastic! REM polished and rocking.
Bangers around! A poppier britpop, certainly an Oasis/Stones Roses feel with some absolute classic songs. This made me watch the "Betterman" movie which I also enjoyed. I have been surprised by the level of sales and acclaim Robbie earned. I'll be exploring the other albums after this listen.
certainly punk circa 1979, more musical than some of the English bands sure but misses the mark on any sort of surging call to arms that those bands seem to have. Interesting enough I'll give it a few more listens.
I can appreciate the variety of talent, but not my cup of tea.
not my thing but I like it better than some other rap albums
