I like Steely Dan but I'd probably only listen to a few of the songs on this album.
A couple of hits but otherwise kind of meh.
Really enjoyed this album.
Loved it. Kept me awake while doing inventory.
Great album. Held up really well for 25 years.
I really like the intro, too bad the rest of the album didn't follow that style as lyrically its kind of meh. The beathy vocals were a bit over done.
There really isn't much that I can say about this album that already hasn't been said, except that it isn't Chronic Town, which is by far my favorite REM album.
Fun album. Takes me back to my spiked hair, torn jeans, combat boots, and leather jacket days in the 80s.
Not bad. Not great. I did get a Meat Beat Manifesto vibe off the last song.
I wouldn't add it to my collection but i also wouldn't change the song if it found it's way into a playlist on YouTube.
Added this one to my library.
Not bad. Some of the covers were good. Some not so much. And why did he cover Personal Jesus? Hurt made sense. Bridge Over Troubled Water, okay. His voice works for those and a couple others. But not Depeche Mode.
Not bad. I was picturing a bunch of ballerina doing there own interpretive dance to this and it being rather chaotic, while Lee Marvin runs around the stage in a panic dressed like a 1930s P.I.
Come to think of it, I'd probably watch that movie.
Well I'm more familiar with with Jimi's music than I was. The album was pretty cool in spite of it feeling a little all over the place. I'd listen to it again but i don't feel compelled to add it to my library.
Pretty cool. I won't be adding this to my library, but I won't be mad if YT Music's algorithm tossed it in to the super mix it rolls out for me.
I forgot how great this album is.
This was a bit of a surprise. As the first song started i was expecting a whole album of crooning in the vein of Frank Sinatra and similar artists. Which would be rather boring while one walks the 23 acres of production buildings to make sure all the mechanical equipment is working. So the rockabilly sounds were a nice surprise.
I don't think it's as good as some of his other albums like From Her to Eternity.
Very good album. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will be adding this to my YTM Library.
New Order is one of my favorite bonds. While isn't onevof my favorites from them, its still worth listening to from beginning to end.
There was a comedy sketch that spoofs American Bandstand in which one of the "audience/dancers" is asked about a song, and they responded "It's got a good beat Dick, but I'm to white to dance to it." It might have on In Living Color.
Anyway, that's kind of how I felt about this album. Musically it sounded great for the most part. Lyrically I can't relate to it. Nor would I listen to it again.
Each song started sounding the same and not as good as the previous song.
I might be biased because this is one of my all time favorite albums.
Very beetlesesque. Not bad.
Probably one of the greatest rock albums of all time. It displays a great depth both musically and lyrically.
Love this album. It's a great sophomore effort for an amazing band.
IMO, Elvis is overrated and his music is boring.
Probably my favorite Beetles album. That said, some of the songs are mediocre at best. And the ones that stand out for me are those that stepped out of the norm for it's time. Like Taxman and Yellow Submarine.
Fantastic album. Lyrics, guitar, bass, and drums are all top notch.
It's The Smiths. They will always get a 5 from me.
I actually hadn't heard this album before and I love Radiohead.
This rocks lobsters so clearly it deserves a 5 star revue.
Metalica is very good at what they do.
I get that everyone loves Stevie and he's very good at what he does, but this album is like processed food. High fructose corn melodies in every song. Nothing really innovative. Nothing really stands out.
I own thos album. Its pretty great.
Sandman is cool, the rest is Metallica at their mediocre best.
Pretty cool. Nice judicious use of waawaa peddles. Funky in some parts.
That was fun to listen to.
A catchy album by R.E.M.
Some good reasonable hits.
However I prefer their earlier works.
