What a fuckin classic… Michael stipe ruminating on all his sad boi feelings Top 3 songs: man on the moon, nightswimming, everybody hurts

The Real Thing by Faith No More

Super wild variety… crunchy metal riffs and then crooning and then funk, I feel like they had to be a major inspiration for RHCP Top 3 songs 1. War Pigs, what a fuckin awesome cover 2. The real thing 3. Zombie eaters

D by White Denim

Now this was a pretty fascinating listen! Feels like prog rock moved into a house with 2010s indie rock. I’m a sucker for strange time signatures and these guys definitely fuckin delivered! Top 3 Bess st, river to consider, Drug

Real electric noise garage blues rock… a very aptly name band. Also lots of screeching here too Top songs 1. Rocket ship 2. Fuck shit up 3. RL got soul

Feb 24 2025

Production is really wild, opulent and experimental, no doubt Kanye is top tier musician, that said it feels like every song is 8 minutes long and they don’t all hit

Feb 25 2025

What a fuckin classic… Michael stipe ruminating on all his sad boi feelings Top 3 songs: man on the moon, nightswimming, everybody hurts

Dookie by Green Day
Mar 03 2025

I wasn’t sure if I was gonna like this album, never been a big Green Day fan, but it was quite enjoyable. Lotsa punk energy and catchy pop melodies even if it’s a bit formulaic. Top songs. 1.basket case 2. Welcome to paradise 3. Burnout

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Mar 04 2025

Wild fake language mumbling and vibey post rock crescendos, could kinda listen to this all day

Stripped by Christina Aguilera
Mar 05 2025

Uhhh idk why exactly I’m giving this 4 stars except that shawty obviously has like god tier vocal range… a few songs almost made me hard with how Disney they were

The Real Thing by Faith No More
Mar 06 2025

Super wild variety… crunchy metal riffs and then crooning and then funk, I feel like they had to be a major inspiration for RHCP Top 3 songs 1. War Pigs, what a fuckin awesome cover 2. The real thing 3. Zombie eaters

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Mar 11 2025

I’m pretty sure Iggy pop is the shit… kinda punk, kinda David Bowie, kinda weird and original. Top 3 lust for life, passenger, fall in love with me

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Mar 12 2025

I really wanted to like this more than I did, I dig the psychedelia but it feels a little forced to me, some catchy pop riffs too. Top 3 I am the resurrection, waterfall, fools gold

The Visitors by ABBA
Mar 13 2025

Omg I need more abba in my life, I felt like I was in a silly movie for the whole hour I listened to this. Two for the price of one was ridiculous and hilarious

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Mar 14 2025

Not going to lie, this one kinda blurred together but it definitely a good listen, can’t really pick a top 3

Mar 17 2025

Buncha weirdos in the 60s find about drugs… what do you expect? They dress up like flowers and make brilliant music of course. Top 3 fixing a hole, Mr Kite, day in the life

D by White Denim
Mar 19 2025

Now this was a pretty fascinating listen! Feels like prog rock moved into a house with 2010s indie rock. I’m a sucker for strange time signatures and these guys definitely fuckin delivered! Top 3 Bess st, river to consider, Drug

Ten by Pearl Jam
Mar 20 2025

All the hits but also some good tracks I didn’t know so well, I’ve always kinda liked vedders silly voice plus the band can definitely rip! The guitar solo at the end of alive is actually one of my all time favorites. Top 3 Black, Porch, Alive

Mar 21 2025

Hmmmm the music is absolutely impeccable… but I can help think of another album by Getz/Gilberto that is very similar but all the singing is in Portuguese and it’s definitely better. Still really solid but Frank should do us all a favor and learn Portuguese top 3. Girl from Ipanema, change partners, quiet nights of quiet stars

Mar 24 2025

Got damn!!! Otis is such a baller and he crushes every single cover on the album, could listen to this all day! Top 3 a change is gonna come, shake, satisfaction

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Mar 25 2025

Good stuff, occasionally the crooning gets a little much for me but there’s also a ton of great harmony. Top 3 cripple creek ferry, southern man, birds

Tuesday Night Music Club by Sheryl Crow
Mar 26 2025

Hahaha I was surprised how much I enjoyed this one… all I was to do is have some fun is SUCH an earworm. Top 3 . Have some fun 2. Run baby run 3. Leaving las Vegas

Queens of the Stone Age by Queens Of The Stone Age
Mar 27 2025

Some bands just fucking nail it on the first album… this one is one of my all time favorites, Homme is one hell of a songwriter. Top 3. IDK man pretty much every song from front to back

Mar 28 2025

Hahaha what a silly album. Sorry you went crazy Sid, at least you got an album on this list before that happened. Enjoyed the psychedelia more than I did years ago when I first found this album

Broken English by Marianne Faithfull
Apr 03 2025

Hahaha that was kinda dope, right on the cusp of the 80s music vibe. She’s giving crusty art music

Beautiful Freak by Eels
May 02 2025

Reminds me of Marcy playground in their sound, I dig it. A few misses but mostly real good tunes, Not ready Yet is a realllll earworm. Top 3. Not ready yet, Novocaine for the soul, your lucky day in Hell

May 09 2025

Pretty much 2pac in his prime, albeit that was basically his whole short lived career. This shit is bumpin and full of messages, and introspection, and thematic layers…you can see why he was such an icon. Top 3. Old school, if I die 2nite, lord knows
