Definitely not something I'd usually reach for, but overall pretty strong songwriting and nice production.
Really a lot more varied than I was expecting! Obviously the hits are all-timers, but Save the Life of My Child and Hazy Shade of Winter really stood out to me.
My favorite Heads album! Really love the jittery, nervous energy all over this album. It's crazy to think this feels like a band firing on all cylinders, only to make another huge creative jump just the next year with Remain in Light. Maybe it's knowing they were on that precipice is what makes me enjoy this album so much.
Blur were one of my favorite and most influential bands in high school, and they still hold up quite well. For me, Parklife is maybe the weakest of their Imperial Pop era. It's undeniable that the guys are firing on all cylinders here, but revisting this record, it felt a bit bloated. Girls & Boys is still one of the best songs ever, though!
Despite being really familiar with the singles, I'd never listened to this record in full. The beats and production are great, but a lot of the vocals and rapping makes it trapped in that late 90s shtickiness.
Somehow my first listen to this! Feels very of its time but also I can feel its fingerprints all over pop music since it came out. Enjoyed it more than i thought!
While not every song on this album is perfect, the highs are so unbelievably high, it made me tear up. A near perfect Christmas album
I really liked the production of this, but similar to fat of the land, the vocals take away a bit for me. At the same time, though, there were some really great pop hooks in there, so I can't complain too much
A really nice debut album. I think this is one of the more effective records of the age where artists were looking back to genres and moods of the past and really building on them in an interesting way. The vocal production and harmonies are top notch. It also feels interesting how much dynamicism is permitted without someone stomping on a distortion pedal
The goddamn blueprint
Not my thing. Energy was good but idk, too much
Definitely a little long, but I really enjoyed some of the production and flow
Damn i could not get into this. I feel like there's a whole subgenre of artists just doing pop music in the same way huge pop stars do but they're just not as successful. Couldn't even finish it

One of the classics, for good reason. Moonchild is a little bit filler-ish, but there are plenty of amazing moments to make up for the few lackluster ones
Really can't complain about this one, great production and grooves
I've been on a huge Dylan kick lately, so this came at a good time. His older voice works well with the really great sounding band and production. I can see why this is a highlight of his latter-day material!
I dug this one a lot. Really impassioned vocal delivery, good grooves, and a nice melding of a lot of disparate 70s dance sounds. Great slap bass!!
