Throwing Muses
Throwing MusesThis album isn’t on Spotify so it was harder to find. I’m still not really sure if I listened to what I was supposed to. I liked Rabbits Dying but I felt pretty neutral about it overall.

I’m not a fan of electronic easy listening. I just find it so boring. The lead singer has a nice voice though.
I don't think I've ever said "What the fuck am I listening to?" more during an album. In both good ways and bad. I Talk To The Wind is beautiful but Moonchild was like 12 minutes of ASMR. A lot of songs were so drawn out and at times felt like just random noises. It's a mixed bag but I think the chaos makes sense given that they were pioneering a new genre with this. It is very cool to listen to from a historical perspective and has some great moments but I won't be listening in my free time.
So much fun to listen to. Just feel good banger after banger. Everything was so smooth. I might like this cover of Summer Breeze more than the original, especially the guitar floating me away at the end.
I haven't listened to blues in so long. What a great reminder of how fire this genre is. I love being able to hear how rock has so clearly been influenced by this. GOT MY MOJO WORKIN!
I’ve listened to this album many times before. Upon first listen it brought a lot of confusion and to be honest I still don’t understand some songs. But I don’t think I need to understand. There’s a beauty in confusion slowly turning into appreciation into love. After ever listen something clicks a little more. How To Disappear Completely was the song that made me deep dive into Radiohead. I cried the first time I heard it and never felt so moved by a piece of music before. I got way into Radiohead, and then way into music in general. I started learning guitar and listening to more and more music I’d never fully appreciated before. So really this album is the reason I’m even doing this challenge at all.
They know how to rock so they rock. Pretty simple yet awesome stuff. It's kind of hard to listen to the whole album cause the songs sound so similar. But hearing any of these songs on their own is always so hype.
Cool but not for me.
I’d never heard this album in full and I love it! That opener had me on the floor! Definitely a new favorite song. There were so many genres and styles in this that it kept the length entertaining. And of course the absolute amazing classic Elton John songs are all on here. Overall incredible!!
Tom Sawyer was one of those songs I had heard in passing and liked but never knew the name of. So glad I found it! The rest of the album is just as awesome! Very cool to listen of headphones with.
Beautiful music and I love the storytelling. Wasn’t too interested by it though.
Very cool production on these. Fun to listen to.
Beautiful Album with some genuinely breathtaking moments. Right up my alley. Sad in a beautiful way. So many interesting sounds.
There are indeed some flamin grooves in here.
I almost fell asleep so I gave up.
SO COOL! I understand why I needed to hear this before I died.
This is so right up my alley it's ridiculous!! I LOVE THIS!
So many iconic songs in this one that I’ve heard my whole life. Those songs really raise this album up but I did enjoy the new ones too! Was happy to listen to this.

I wasn’t really interested at the beginning but I slowly started to vibe with it. I found some songs interesting but a lot of it was identical to Coldplay and not even the good Coldplay.
I really wanted to like this but I was kinda bored.
I liked a few of these songs. My favorite was This Mess We're In cause I'm obsessed with Thom Yorke's voice lol. I think the New York theme was cool, but for such a loud diverse city I was really expecting more creative and interesting songs.
Pure magic. Every song was so unique. Every song I finished I was eager to hear what the next one would sound like. This is probably among the best folk rock I’ve ever heard.
I really really enjoyed this! I wasn't a fan of every song but the ones that hit, HIT! Some songs have this epic feel to them. Also great harmonies on everything!
Very calm and soothing. I don’t listen to much bossa nova and probably still won’t unless I’m in the mood for it. But it’s very nice.
Good album with some great songs but I’m not in love with it. Hard to separate the music from how off the deep end crazy this man is.
Another REM album I’ve failed to like. By my tastes I really should like this band but I just don’t. It’s weird cause so many artists I love were inspired by REM. I guess I don’t like his voice. The lyrics are cool though.
I wasn’t super into it until the musical theater skit that is A Quick One pushed this to a four. Sometimes it was hard to believe this was live, very impressive. It’s too long however, I love My Generation but 15 minutes is crazy. It was a fire 15 minutes though not gonna lie. Overall very fun.
I usually love concept albums, but was very disappointed by this one. It's just some guys perverted fantasy.
Absolutely iconic!! Nothing life changing for me but who doesn’t love ABBA.
Wow that was good. Short and sweet. Even though I'd only known Let's Get It On before, I loved every song after.
Fun and charming. Lots of covers.
Amazing incredible music, but wow it really is so long. Some of the songs go on for longer than I could enjoy.
That was surprisingly pleasant and fun. Good music to listen to while working.
Amazing. Felt like I was gonna have a epic showdown at dusk.
Amazing of course.
I liked the blues songs on here. The rest I was meh about.
I’m shocked to learn this was their debut album! Some songs were average but others were so good it made up for it. Very versatile singing, I had to look up if their were multiple singers in the band.
Boring.
Very fun and enjoyable. Kinda repetitive though.
It was pretty cool. Unique in some parts.
Very cool. I never really knew where the next song would go.
Punk without anything to actually be mad about.
Pretty fun and unique. This style of music just isn't really for me.
Surprisingly pretty fun!
So so good.
Funkalicious
Beautiful. I love this album. Just a bit too long.
I love Pink Floyd so I was excited to hear their debut album, but I didn't enjoy this very much. I think it took them some time to perfect their style.
Cool. Love seeing some older stuff on here!
Very nice.
So lovely. This kind of music always helps me relax.
Pretty cool. It’s a shame it isn’t on streaming.
Such a beautiful voice and storytelling. Loved hearing a full Dolly album for the first time.
So epic. The beach boys but sad is such a great genre.
It’s cool just not really my style.
Music-wise this goes hard, but wow these lyrics. It's definitely more purposeful and self-aware than some other shock factor albums on this list but it's still a lot. It's like a horror movie. It kinda makes you think why are we okay with horror movies but not horror music? It's essentially the same idea. It's not real, it's a story. Maybe with music it's just harder to separate the real person from the persona. This was interesting.
I love afrobeat.
Some good stuff, but with the exception of a few great songs nothing really stood out to me.
Pretty cool
Yeah, no thanks.
Surprisingly awesome! Many different styles but all enjoyable to listen to. Early in the morning is what really got me hooked.
I’m glad I got the Fela Kuti albums before this so I could hear the inspiration right away. It was cool, but a lot of the songs sounded very similar and didn’t really interest me.
Not a fan of PJ Harvey. None of her albums have been enjoyable for me so far. Just wispy and pretentious. I can’t connect with it.
Cool but all the songs kinda sound the same.
Absolute fire. I loved learning the backstory of the band it really puts the album into context. Listening to Peace of Mind knowing the person that made it pursued music even with a mechanical engineering degree from MIT just makes so much sense. I loved all of these songs and have known some of them all my life.
I LOVE QUEEN!! I let out the biggest hell yeah seeing this was my album for today. Some songs are rockin and fun while others are deeper and softer but all are creative and masterfully done. The vocals go crazy as always. Queen is what got little me into music so I might be a little biased this has gotta be a five.
Pretty cool.
A bit confusing but beautiful. I’m not sure why so many songs were instrumentals but I enjoyed them. More unique and inspired music from Bowie. Most of them were totally new to me and I was grooving.
Pretty cool but wouldn’t really be interested in listening again.
Really beautiful music. I think they’ve done the best medieval folk sound out of the albums I’ve heard so far. The last song gave me chills.
I loved this it’s so vibey. Bonus points for being the first album so far with my name in a song.
33 minutes of caveman screaming.
I enjoyed this a little more that Leige and Lief. Very pretty.
Good album to get while my speakers are busted cause I can’t even tell. I thought with all the hype around them this band would be better. I didn’t like the Hurt cover so that was disappointing.
I was excited for my first Bjôrk album and I think it lived up to it. It’s pretty cool and whimsical. Not something I would listen to all the time but I do appreciate it.
Very groovy. The rest of the songs didn’t really catch up to Let’s Stay Together for me, but that might just be nostalgia.
Pretty but boring. I don’t know why there’s more than one album from this band on here.
I liked the audio samples but the music didn’t really match the coolness of them.
Good stuff.
I like the Clash but I think they’re later albums are better.
Super awesome.
I like the very aware political lyrics. INS Greencard could’ve been written yesterday. However the beats are kinda mid and production isn’t very impressive.
Pretty good but later albums are better. RIP Ozzy!
Nothing super impressive but I liked it.
Just like the last Arcade Fire album it does enough to keep me listening but not enough to stop being boring.
One of the greats! As a lover of rock and fantasy this especially goes crazy.
I couldn’t subject myself to this.
It’s alright. Kinda boring though which is sad cause you’d think tango should be more interesting.
Pretty good. Interesting. A shame it isn’t on Spotify.
YAY YAY YAY
Great album with some iconic bangers.
I’m not a fan of electronic easy listening. I just find it so boring. The lead singer has a nice voice though.
Very cool fusion jazz!
I absolutely needed lesbian country music in my life, thank you 1001albumsgenerator.com
Absolute Fire. I feel like some songs went on too long though. Looking at you Sex Machine.
I enjoy 50s but the songs kinda blur together by sounding so similar.
Very sad but beautiful.
Mid. I did not like the leads voice at all.
I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. My usual issue with metal is how monotonous it can be but these songs were dynamic. And most importantly each song was different from the next. I enjoyed this one.
Why isn’t the first song divided into the multiple songs within it? I liked one at the mid way point but I have no way of listening to it individually. The rest of it was kinda meh.
I didn’t enjoy this as much as some other Zeppelin albums. I would like the songs a lot more if they weren’t just so eternally long.
I love weird and kooky rock like this. I really enjoyed this one. More than the solo Bjork album I’ve heard so far.
Stunning. So much diversity in the genre and instrumentation of the songs. Yet they all sound so genuinely beautiful. I continue to be impressed and really moved by Simon & Garfunkel.
