Mostly instru soul-funk. A bit boring. 3/5

Bluesy at the beginning, better towards the end

Lots of hits but some lower quality stuff as well

Nice Americana with Bad moon as the ultimate classic

You are directly immersed in a hippie haze, you hair are long, the substance you are inhaling is making you feel good, people lost appeal for clothes, social boundaries are melting, you sense a hint of future with these weird electronic sounds, you are a rebel without a cause and you like it

Unfortunately, the addition of more present electronics does kill a bit the very bare dreamy-moody soundscape the xx were successfully creating. The album is overall repetitive and lack the originality of the 2 precedent ones
