Stripped by Christina Aguilera
Oct 15 2025

Good pop album on first listen! A bit surprised to be honest because this music doesn't really strike me all that often. More R&B I found too, good work music.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Oct 16 2025

Huge fan of Joplin's vocals, this was an awesome album

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Oct 17 2025

Huge fan, had everything I want in an album, one of the best I've listened to recently

Low by David Bowie
Oct 21 2025

I can't say I'm the biggest Bowie fan, I need to do a deeper dive on him one day but it doesn't grip me at this point in my life

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Oct 22 2025

Easy listening, she has a beautiful voice

Punishing Kiss by Ute Lemper
Oct 24 2025

I really liked this!!! She has such a beautiful voice

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Oct 27 2025

I've listened to it a bunch of times in the past. Great for when you light a candle in the apartment

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Oct 28 2025

Very good, I saved it, wants me want to listen to more Arcade Fire

Hotel California by Eagles
Oct 29 2025

Easy listening, can't complain about this guy even if I don't really love the Eagles

Scott 2 by Scott Walker
Oct 30 2025

Kind of a funny album, the dude is a little funny too after reading about him. Pop sensation that kind of sounds like a shitty Barry Manilow. I'm probably not giving it enough credit. Also weirdly sounds like a Christmas album sometimes. Huh. Kind of forgettable, sounds like Scott 3 and 4 are a little more fun.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Nov 03 2025

Very nice listening, could work to Bob for hours. Glad I'm doing this project and got to learn a bit about him too.

Boston by Boston
Nov 04 2025

Top half starts soooooo stong then fades. I love Boston's hits, think they kind have a weak undercard, but enjoyed the album.

Dance Mania by Tito Puente
Nov 05 2025

Tito is nice, good dinner making music

The Band by The Band
Nov 06 2025

These guys are siiiiiiiiiiickkkkk. I regrettably never listened to The Band but this rec had me listen to their whole discography. I'm a mega fan now, these guys were rocking.

Vincebus Eruptum by Blue Cheer
Nov 07 2025

I was surprised how many songs I knew! This was a cool album and glad it got recommended, especially learning how it was one of the first metal albums. In San Francisco of all places. Albums like this are why I like this site.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Nov 10 2025

Liked didn't love, just don't think that Seattle grunge scene is so much for me even though on surface level it should be. I respect the album though, just not a fave

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Nov 11 2025

Nice dinner making music, I like Stan Getz a lot already. Cool to read some of the history behind how this started the bossa nova craze too

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Nov 12 2025

I really liked this, more so than the Fulsome prison one. That crowd is going fucking nuts, it's infectious.

Guitar Town by Steve Earle
Nov 13 2025

Really liked this and not really a country fan, feels like a good listen for when I need to feel something

Mott by Mott The Hoople
Nov 14 2025

This one I had to relisten to because I didn't finish all the way the first time. It has caught my ear, I found myself bopping to certain songs too. I think this is one of those albums that will grow with each listen.

Arrival by ABBA
Nov 17 2025

Holy shit do I love this album. I had no idea all the bangers on it, and discovered some ABBA hits I didn't know about. Absolutely amazing.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Nov 18 2025

Amazing, one of my favorite albums of the project so far and listened to all their other stuff too. I'm a huge fan!

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Nov 19 2025

Absolutely incredible, this is already one of my favorite albums of all time. No notes, possibly perfect

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Nov 21 2025

I want to go back and listen, but I think these guys are good. My first Sonic Youth so I will explore further

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Nov 24 2025

This is a banger, I a starting to really love White Stripes

Nov 26 2025

At first I was not loving it, but I settled in like I do with most Eno albums.

Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective
Nov 27 2025

One my all time favorites, didn't have to listen again because I know it well, but of course still did

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
Nov 28 2025

I haven't listened to a ton of Jazz but I have actually listened to this one before! Obviously Thelonious is incredible, but I actually don't find this album my favorite, it's a little too--I don't know--discordant, for my taste? Really just don't like some of the noises, I am sure it's much better as a sit down, focused album but that's not when I really listen to jazz, at least not live

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Dec 01 2025

Liked it, not familiar with glam Rock, will relisten too

Parachutes by Coldplay
Dec 09 2025

Very good, not much of a coldplay fan generally too but this album was easy listening, hit a certain vibe that will for sure be in my rotation

The Colour Of Spring by Talk Talk
Dec 10 2025

Not a fan! I'm sure other people like it for their reasons

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Dec 11 2025

I know this one well, great dinner making music. Maybe my favorite album to make dinner to in fact!

A Wizard, A True Star by Todd Rundgren
Dec 12 2025

I like this man's noises. Going to follow his other stuff and could see myself rating it higher later too

War by U2
Dec 15 2025

Not a U2 guy, I can see why people like this though

Opus Dei by Laibach
Dec 17 2025

This was a good album, I'm going to relisten, I think it's shareable

Dear Science by TV On The Radio
Dec 19 2025

This was fine, I don't know didn't really do it for me, feel like there are a lot of other bands that have a better sound than this but in the same lane

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Dec 22 2025

I think this one is particularly excellent, even more than Exodus, I'm super into it.

Parklife by Blur
Dec 23 2025

Fine, even good I say. Could share this, not itching to but could also see it catching me on later.

High Violet by The National
Dec 24 2025

Not so much for me, Bon Iver precursor which is cool

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Dec 25 2025

Really really like this and could see it growing on me even more. Kind of reminds me of Bjork, a little poppier. Big fan!

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Jan 06 2026

I don't normally like Britpop but I really liked this! Going to relisten for sure

Third by Portishead
Jan 07 2026

This album slapped, I can see this being a five star down the road. Never knew portishead but their first album is definitely a five star now. This is why I'm doing this project!

Pump by Aerosmith
Jan 08 2026

I'm just not an Aerosmith guy, a band with bangers but full album doesn't do it for me, sorry.

The Trinity Session by Cowboy Junkies
Jan 09 2026

I really loved this album, an immediate send for me. Definitely one of the better slow albums and I think it will for sure be in my sad rotation

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jan 12 2026

Fine, didn't really connect. I plan to do a Neil Young deep dive one day and maybe this will stick

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Jan 13 2026

Did not really do it for me :( I saved one song, "Love and Affection" and that's kind of the only thing stopping me from giving it a one

Chore of Enchantment by Giant Sand
Jan 14 2026

This was a funky little album, can feel the desert listening to it.

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Jan 19 2026

Good little album! Starting off the group project well.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Jan 20 2026

Reviewed this before and can't say this album really does it for me. The one song "Love and Affection" is nice but this is largely forgettable for me.

Abraxas by Santana
Jan 21 2026

Fan of this guy, easy listening and listened to it immediately after it finished.

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Jan 22 2026

Love Dolly, like this album, easy to listen to.

Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp
Feb 05 2026

Very lovely, surprised I hadn't heard it before

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Feb 09 2026

I love the diversity of this album. Some beautiful vocals too.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Feb 10 2026

I feel I throw this on a lot now, slowly becoming a five

Da Capo by Love
Feb 11 2026

Solid, nothing too crazy but liked

Bright Flight by Silver Jews
Feb 12 2026

Feel like I liked this one a lot more on first listen and it progressively got a little worse each time but I also listened to it with tiktok brain. I think 3 is right

Purple Rain by Prince
Feb 13 2026

Such a banger. Always on repeat for me

I feel like there's just some fat on this album that I tune out to. Very fine, wasn't blowing me away

21 by Adele
Mar 02 2026

Not as good on relisten as I was hoping. I think she'll always be singles kind of artist for me

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Mar 03 2026

Zeppelin is obviously incredible. It may be my favorite rock band, but IV may only be my 4th favorite album from them.

Really like Air, need to go fuller deep dive

A nice little album

I really really like this, and can't believe it's from 83, it feels like such a modern indie album

The Cars by The Cars
Mar 16 2026

More bops than I knew!

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Mar 23 2026

I love Joy Division and this didn't connect with me thaaaaaat much. This sound in 1979 is so crazy though, spawned so much Indie music

Mar 24 2026

Good for that 90s alt scene where looking back, there weren't really that many problems. Fun!

Music by Madonna
Mar 25 2026

Bops, reminds me a lot of early Shakira

White Ladder by David Gray
Mar 27 2026
